- Reviewing and comparing #70mai dash cam to my old car camera and an iPhone 6 in day light and during night. After driving with 70mai for last week I have to admit that it shoots better videos and pictures than my phone and my old dash cam. Image is clear and well saturated, night shots are bright and 130° wide field of view makes sure that everything you need is in the shot.
Camera starts in 1-2 seconds after turning the ignition on, you can control it with voice commands, one button or with mobile phone app that connects with the 70mai over WiFi. Mobile app gives you full control over the camera - you can live-preview image from the sensor, check stored videos and pictures, adjust settings, update firmware, manage memory card and more.

a jest inny sposób na zachowanie nagrania niz komenda glosowa czy przez telefon? np 2x przycisnąc przycisk lub cos w tym stylu, w sytuacji stresowej czasem ciezko mowic a co dopiero szukac w telefonie.

Witam, posiadam tą kamerę lecz mam problem. Mianowicie, bez ciągłego łączenia się poprzez wifi i aplikacją z kamerą kamera nie nagrywa. Czy to normalne, czy coś z ustawieniami?

No, both on wifi and on directly on the memory car you will see 1 minute clips.

It does not require a lot of amps, so I think that you can easily power it from android head unit.

Does this camera detect motion in case there is a thief. I’ve heard of owlcam but after a series of videos, found out that the camera will take a pic in 30 seconds. Thief’s break in and do things within 30 seconds. So does the xiomi has sensors to detect as well?

I have the Dash-cam. When you turn on the app on your mobile phone, the camera turn on wi-fi automaticly. and show live video and the album on your phone. When log out on your phone. The camera start it self recording again

Used fuse taps to get power from ignition hot fuse, then guided the cable under the A-pillar cover.

Gday from Melbourne Australia. How hot does the 70mai get when operating for more than 1 hour? Your climate there is way different to here, we are getting 37C days soon. Have concerns the dashcamera will overheat.

Sure can. You can touch the camera to get a sense of how warm the unit gets. I was considering the Blackvue units until I read the overheating reports, maybe due to 4K processing. I think FullHD is adequate for everyday use.

No. This one does not have parking mode.
The camera has a parking mode - does it record when the gsensor senses movement?
Yes. That's exactly how it's triggered. I have mine hardwired and it turns on the moment you open the door. It's pretty sensitive.
HI, I have set up the Camera setting in my mobile. How do I set up the camera in such a way that the recording starts soon after my car's ignition is turned on and the video gets stored in the 32GB Memory Card. Also let me know the length of the video that can be stored in a 32GB memory card

Does this camera make noise when you turn on the car and if so can it be silenced? I hate these dash cameras that make noise.

Fajny sprzęt :-) Właśnie szukam czegoś takiego. Czy ta apka obsługuje język polski? Nie mam jeszcze doświadczenia z kamerkami do auta, więc nie wiem, czy sobie z tym poradzę :-)
W tej chwili języka polskiego w niej nie ma niestety. Na szczęście aplikacja jest dość prosta, więc jest nadzieja, że przetłumaczą tych kilka tekstów na nasz język.

Nie, ten model nie ma trybu parkingowego. Ale w 70mai PRO już jest.
Does this camera automatically delete the older footage? Or you have to connect to a pc and delete the old videos by yourself?
It automatically overwrites old footage if it was not marked as emergency footage.

yes. As soon as there's power in the 12V socket it starts recording.
Hi, i understand if the sd card is full the dashcam erased and loop.
But with a sd card 64GO can i recorded a travel like 40min ? Or is just only short clip who will be recorded and erased ? Thx
It creates a series of 3 or 5 minutes clips.
When card is full the oldest clip is delete to free up the space.
You should be good for an hour or two. Depending what resolution you select in settings.

W aplikacji, w menu "My Devices" można sprawdzić aktualizacje dla wszystkich urządzeń przypisanych do konta. Sprawdź czy nie ma tam update'u dla Twojej kamery.

I've got couple questions which I can't find in manual. First - is the dash cam start recording immediately after turn car key On? Second - is the dash cam use G-sensor to start recording in parcking mode as no car key, no power On, no engine works, but there is a crash in car?
It starts automatically.
There’s no parking mode in this model.

@@mrfixpl tryb parkingowy działa trochę ciulowo, wystarczy zamknąć drzwi po zgaszeniu silnika i już nagrywa do zabezpieczonego folderu, powinno odczekać chociaż 1 min po adłączeniu zasilania. Inny jest procesor i matryca

Kamera uruchamia się po podaniu na nią zasilania. U siebie miałem ją wpiętą pod bezpiecznik z gniazdka zapalniczki, więc uruchamiała się przy włączeniu zapłonu.
Nagrywa cały czas.

Hej, myślę nad zakupem tej kamerki dla chłopaka na prezent, uważasz, że to dobry wybór, czy coś innego sprawdzi się lepiej? Masz jakieś porównanie? Oczywiście coś, co będzie oscylować w podobnej cenie.
na ten dzień nie miałem lepiej zrobionej kamery, ALE za niedługo będę testował wersję pro, które ma trochę więcej funkcji.

It need to be plugged in to know when your car is on. The battery capacity is small. It's there to make sure that the camera can finish recording when you turn the car off.

Hotspot wifi będzie domyślnie wyłączony. Aby się połączyć z kamerą trzeba będzie uruchomić wifi przez polecenie głosowe lub przez jakąś kombinację przycisku.

Nie ma trybu parkingowego - nie wygodzi się sama przy wyłączonym zapłonie.
Warto dołożyć i kupić wersję pro. Rozważałem zakup Garmina Dash Cam i poległ przy chinolku.

Loop recording deletes oldest videos that are not marked as emergency footage.

Hello! I really enjoyed your video. I have bought this cam and followed the installation steps, but after sticking the cam to the sticker, it fell off the windshield and it won't stick to it anymore. Is it safe to stick the mount directly to the windshield instead of mount-sticker-windshield?
I think that you can do it like this. But most likely you will be having a hard time removing the sticky foam from your windscreen if you device to remove the camera mount.
Did you fixed it? I ve got the same problem. It s falling in 2 second. That shitty plastic it making me to thow the camera. I think is the shittiest camera ever if i cant use it because of one tiny plastic.
I ve just bought it for 15€ on ebay. Does this model have an automatic loop recording? Does it have G sensor on it, so it can save a car crash while driving? does it have a G-sensor for parking crash? (its not the pro model)
