NWA subscriber here, didn't you you went to U of A, small world! Glad you had a chance to visit Wright's, not sure if it's the best in Arkansas but definitely the best in Northwest Arkansas. Like some other subscriber mentioned below, their Brisket is the signature dish there, and it's one of the best brisket around. If you ever go back, I'd recommend to just order brisket as a meat option, not as a topping, that way you can truly enjoy how moist and flavorful it is. If you visit their Rogers location, you can also check out their smoker setup at the back. Anyway, glad y'all had a great family trip!
I noticed some dumb things like the nachos... not a lot of beef on them but there was a ton of chees... and they did not toast your bun on the pulled pork. I think you wife had the right assessment of the place "a lot of filler". The bark on the brisket looked really good.
I’m glad you stopped in, it’s one of my favorite joints outside of Texas. It’s a must stop when we travel to Branson. BBQ doesn’t have to be the best to be good. As always I enjoy what you do.

Cool vid brother. Nothing like a good family getaway. I have to say though, I can't fathom giong into a bbq joint and getting a sandwich and nachos. Lol. I gotta try the meats! The burnt ends he was slicing looked pretty spot on. I'll have to stop in next time I'm in that area. Thx.

Went to Wrights BBQ today because of this video and I was not disappointed. The moist brisket was great, ribs (the star of the show for me) were stellar, and the bacon burnt ends were good, but tough. The potato salad and bbq beans were great too! This is better than some bbq I’ve had in Texas, and I don’t mean that lightly. 8/10 Thanks for the great tip, Justin!

Unfortunately, there was hour long wait and we couldn't wait that long because we had tickets to the Listening Forrest in Bentonville at 8:00. We were trying to get into the Johnson location though. I wish I would have know there was more than one.
So earlier today, I was thinking about that time there was a full Solar eclipse directly over the SG2.0 stage, and the COOL cats who drove up to witness it and to hang out with us. ...Aaaaand here I am on a different channel (waiting for an upload, filmed from that very "stage"). Looks like a great time (with good grub) was had by all! 👍😎👍
Justin, if you find yourself on that drive again soon, stop in at Blue Ember BBQ in Ft. Smith. I prefer it over Wrights BBQ. Blue Ember has great pork belly bites.
Had the brisket yesterday at the Little Rock location. Very disappointed. Asked for the juiciest they had. Was room temp and dry as a cob. This is the second time I’ve been here and have not found it good. Gets great reviews and it has not been for me.

Beef prices and many other costs have increased dramatically in the last 3 years. Unfortunately the consumer has to pay more just so the restaurant can make a profit and survive.
Unpopular Opinion: I liked LA BBQ better than Franklins, but maybe that was the three hours in line talking! Those nachos put my local BBQ joint's swatchos to shame!

Good information. Yeah, we went to Fayetteville for a hogs game and tried to stop in Johnson on the way back but it was so covered up couldn’t get in.
