Thank you. It was a team effort. Dan in particular had put a lot of thought into it and the best shots of the actual eclipse were his. I think after this next eclipse we are going to end up seeing a lot of AI and stock footage which really makes me sad (youtube calls that "Promoting creativity" but to me it's like "What's the point?"). I'm proud of what we were able to get as 3 dummies in a corn field.
Thanks Sean, It was fun. This trip was the first time I'd hung and with your brother for an extended period of time. Turns out, he's a pretty good dude. lol
Very special day Justin! - Luclily, for the next one, April 8th - I'm in eastern Canada, but just off the path of totality - I should see ~90% here. - Cheers!
Cool! We are having one in April, Niagara Falls area will be the perfect spot to see it. They have declared a state of emergency because way more people are expected to converge on the area, more than they can handle! My sister and brother in law have had a hotel room reserved for a long time!
Thanks for sharing that footage, Justin. Ya'll looked like you had a really enjoyable rare experience. My dad and I saw that one in the path up here in TN. Unfortunately he won't get to see this one with me as he passed a couple years back.
I was going to pause and ask "what about the storm? Aren't you supposed to have storms in your videos?" and five seconds later you showed the storm forming in the distance... Great video aniway! Gregg and Guga missed it!
And now, 7 years later, we will be having one in my backyard here in the mid-cities of the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. I had no clouds and perfect weather in North Carolina in 2017. I got better shots because of it. Let's hope for good weather in rainy and stormy April here in Texas.
Very cool video. You gave me some good ideas on getting my old GoPros out and doing some time lapse. We're going to be down here in Alvarado partying because we're not working. Hearing all sorts of stories about TxDot advising keeping trucks off the roads. Got my place mapped out and ready to roll.
@@BabyBackManiac I was really growing tired of ALL the hype and dare I say, some of the traffic out here in the styx. I must say, it really was worth all the hype. We've all seen partial eclipses before, but this was truly amazing. Don't know about where you were at, but the clouds opened up like opera house curtains just for the main event. Very very cool.
@@donutman3089 Yeah, it's really hard to explain to people...and if you try too hard they think you are crazy. But once you see one, you get it. REALLY glad you got to see this.
Really awesome. It's really cool to capture an eclipse like that on film. I have seen them before, but I didn't manage to get any photos of it. Long ago, on my dad's farm, I remember seeing the stars at night, and the Northern Lights. That is hard to see in cities, because of all the lights. Astronomy is fascinating. One of my relatives, is in the Air Force (with his brother), and he's also an astronaut. He takes training in Texas, and in Florida, and in early 2025, he gets to go on an ISIS mission. Cheers, Justin. 👍🏻👍🏻✌️
Should of just hit up Matt if demo ranch , he did a entire camping festival on his resort /ranch , would of been a good collab , he is a massive big CZcamsr
Can't wait for the 8th! I'll be in Arkansas. The suns corona will look more full this time around as the sun is almost at solar maxamim. Do you guys plan to get together for this eclipse?
Thank you so much for posting this! I've been a fan for years. You and T-Roy have taught me so much about BBQ. As an amateur astronomer, I"m absolutely thrilled to see this. You are also one of the reasons that I have an astronomy CZcams page. www.youtube.com/@astroguypodcast
Nature is really humbling at times. Can you imagine the reaction people in the middle ages would have had to that eclipse? With any luck, the Easter bunny will stick around for an extra week or so to help keep Biden from nuking someone in response.
You guys did a better job filming that than most professionals. You should be very proud of that footage, not to mentions the fine food you guys make😃

Awesome, Justin!!! That was some pretty epic looking footage!!!
Thanks for watching, buddy. It was fun
Very cool video, Justin! We've talked about that trip so many times, it's nice to actually see the footage.
It was a really cool experience. Glad you got to see it.
Super Awesome
Wow, amazing and awesome! I guess you need to put those glasses over the lens of the camera too??
Big thumbs up, great video 👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks buddy. That was the hack of the century. the heavy duty ND's were going for hundreds of dollars...plus they were all sold out!
That was really CCOL Justin!! Thanks for sharing that Brother!! Cheers!!!

Here in Texas, where the weather should be nicer (we hope), I will be in my backyard.

Great vid brother, I can't believe it was that long ago and it was a cool moment when it happened.
Yeah, it was a lot of fun
Man I would have loved to see that! I remember that day. Not as cool here in IL, but yea what a crazy thing to witness.

I lost mine about a year after this video was shot so I understand. Glad you got to share that moment with him
@@BabyBackManiac Thank you, sir.
Sorry to hear about your dad, too.
OK. The ending when the guy awkwardly extends his open hand had me cry laughing!!
lol. It's good that you saw that. Clearly that was the point of the video. Thanks for watching to the end.
Fantastic day Bud! What a great video!

3 words..."Lock the EXPOSURE" lol.
Makes a big difference in how the time lapses turn out!
I will be in my backyard. I'm staying off the roads.! In 2017, I had to travel. This year it a few steps into my backyard. So nice.

A great experience! Thank you for sharing😊 I'm looking forward to NASA's total solar eclipse event on April 8th👍
Can't wait! Thanks, Bobbi!
Won't have to travel for this one!!

Thanks, Kevin. It was a fun memory!
Did you see a baseball field out there by the corn?😂
If you film it, it will come.
👍

I managed to experience it 25 years ago. Coolest thing was when the birds all suddenly went quiet.
Totally!

Not with the BBQ guys but my family is going to make a day out of it.

Looking like it's going to cloudy and rainy in our area for the eclipse
Could be here but hoping it will clear up. Partially cloudy is ideal in my opinion. overcast would be a total bummer.
@BabyBackManiac yeah I saw rain and storms that day here in rockwall but hopefully will change

Isn't there an eclipse on the 8th of April. In Texas
Yeah, thats why I posted this
