naja der typhoon ist eigentlich der beste abfangjäger den es gibt. die gripen unterliegt der rafale und eurofighter in sehr vielen dingen. trotzdem hast du recht, dass es ziemlich teuer ist und gripen wirklich die bessere wahl gewesen wäre!
Saab did bad for its product buy putting.a nasty price on it. Its like they don't understand that buying a new fighter is a political thing just as practical. Would you rather be a partner of Germany and France or Sweden? Gripen is a good plane but Rafale or Typhoon are not bad either.
Gripen is still a lot cheaper than both the Typhoon and Rafale, both in unit price and cost/hour. $85 million is not a high price for this plane and with the approx. $4000/hour cost the price is not the problem. In my opinion it's the F-35 unit price going down to about the same that is killing the Gripen sales. As you say, it's politics and Sweden can't compete with a super power.
I love Saab Gripen. My favourite fighter jet. It is an incredible aircraft.

Bin nach wie vor der Meinung das der Gripen für uns Österreicher gereicht hätte.
