What a surprise to learn that Kerala's main religion is Christianity and about its once Jewish presence. It is said Jews first arrived in 70 CE after the destruction of the Second Temple and received special protection from India's rulers.
All sights seen in this video are around a 1-1/2 hour drive from Cochin.

Christianity reached the shores of India when St. Thomas, the apostle of Jesus set foot on the shores of Muziris (Cragannore) in Kerala India in 52 AD. He preached the gospel and the good news of Jesus Christ and he established seven and a half churches at Kodungalloor, Paravur (Kottakayal), Palayoor, Kokkamangalam, Nilackal, Kollam, Niranam and a half church at Thiruvithancode. He baptized several people who are today known as Saint Thomas Christians or Nasranis.

He have converted only Jews. Bhramin existence at that time in kerala is still in debut. In Bible, even though Jesus asked to proclaim the Gospel to all, you can see that they limited it to synagouges and jews till Peter had the vision. Also St. Paul itself insists to preach first to the Jew and then to the gentiles. So converting gentiles at that era that too from a entirely different cultural background and religios background is questionable.

So no wonder St Thomas came to kerala state where Jews settled around the time king Solomon became king of Israel. The name opir in the Holy Bible refers to kerala state, king Solomon used to get his peacocks, ivory, eliphents, spices from Kerala state. The DNA test of Syrian Christians in Kerala state show Jewish DNA..and God had a special blessings on Jews who accepted Christ as Lord God. I dont think you are a GOOD XTIAN also !
You know why I say this ?
You failed to observe an injunction,..." to love your neighbour ""!
Your neighbour the Islamic People, you offend by saying "... .LIKE REST OF THE PROPHETS INCLUDING THE FALSE RAPIST PROPHET MUHAMMED...." ( look what you wrote up there ) This is what Jesus said ..." It that which comes out of you that makes you dirty "
Now these things that you said are not showing any signs of "to love your neighbour ( as Jesus summarized the 10 laws given to my people ). We Jews the Hebrew Jesus and the context of the teachings recorded ( later after 70 years ). We know the Greek Septuagint and all other versions of the Xtian Bible .
As for me you have committed a blasphemy . You know why I say this ?
It appears that you have added consonants to "YHWH", I dont know how you xtians did that when we Jews keep it at as "The Name" ( Hashem ).
In our Judaism standards you have committed blasphemy.
Next, by you being rude to their Prophet Mohammed (PBU ) you dont project as a moderate thinker but a fanatic extremist Xtian.
I have a wide opinion over your wrong opinion, and I can help you to put that which you were saying up there in the most diplomatic manner- applying apologetics.
As such methodology is wise applied to the Roman Catholics (RC) via the inter-religious dialogue ,one that you wont be able to handle ( for reason you are too haughty and lacking knowledge- biblical, theology, ecumanism , scripture and historical perspective.) The Roman Catholics are best we can dialogue without prejudices.
I hope this finds you sleeping better tonight. And please know you xtain scriptures correctly before you shoot :-)
      Thank you

What a LIE to learn that Kerala's main religion is Christianity !
Kerala's main religion is Hindu- please read the Upnishad, Ramayan and Mahabaratha...also the struti !
You hide the Padmanabah Temple of Kerala.(Vishnu Temple )
The Travancore Royalty, Her Royal Hignest is still a life. His Majesty Thirunal has departed. The Royal Regent Ravi Varma is still a life.
Many of Prasnas’s most revered texts originated from the Kerala region of India.
There is legend in India that Parasuram, an incarnation of God Vishnu, created Kerala. Legend has it that Parasuram stood on top of a mountain and threw his battle-axe into the sea, commanding it to retreat. The land that emerged from the waters became Kerala.
Kerala was covered by water. Archeologists believe that the Arabian Sea once extended to the foot of the Western Ghats, and that Kerala emerged out of the sea as a result of either sudden or gradual earthquake activity.
[i] While the first actual record of Kerala appears in the inscriptions of the Mauryan Emperor Ashoka (269-232 B.C.), archeologists have found evidence of an earlier civilization. They have unearthed small chambers that were cut into rocks, with covered capstone entrances and vaulted roofs, that are dated some time between 1000 and 300 B.C.
[ii] This may have been the Dravidians, an ancient people from the Mediterranean that were one of the earlier inhabitants of Kerala.
The Dravidians were a matriarchal society that believed in the “Mother Goddess” as their protector and bestower of wealth, wisdom, and the arts. It is interesting that one of the most popular temples in Kerala today, is the temple of the Hindu mother-goddess Bhagawati.
The Dravidian culture and religion may have been one of the first to come to Kerala; Jainism, Buddhism, Hinduism, Christianity, Judaism and the Islamic faith followed it. Both India and the Kerala region are a melting pot of varying cultures and religions
There is also indication of trading between ancient Kerala and the Egyptians, Romans, Phoenicians, as well as ancient China.
Teak from Malabar has been found in the ruins of Ur. It is believed that Indian cotton was traded to Egypt, while ivory, sandalwood and spices were traded to the Phoenicians. It has also been speculated that King Solomon sent his commercial fleet to Ephir, which is said to be somewhere in Southern Kerala.
What a LIE to learn that Kerala's main religion is Christianity.

18.38% are Christians, 54.73% of Kerala's residents are Hindus, 26.56% are Muslims, and the remaining 0.32% follows other religion or no religion.
In fact 2 our chief ministers were Christians(Syrian Christians), Mr. AK Antony and Mr. Oommen Chandy.
