This sounds like a great itinerary. I've enjoyed the Stockholm archipelago and would love to go back.
Turku archipelago is just as stunning but even more barren. It’s worth taking the Finnish cruise ferries across to to Turku just to see it. Had a fanstastic couple of days on 2 of the local ferries this summer with stunning weather and on deck admiring the views.

I managed to bag an upgrade on this seat a few years back. Swiss are a good airline and the highlight of transiting in ZRH is Heidi and the cow 😂
Glad you got a throne seat! A lot of airlines have started charging for seat assignments. Some J fares don't even come w/lounge access now!
I hate that! You buy a premium seat and then they nickel and dime you. At least I'm GOLD for life so I can always get into a Star Alliance Lounge. 👍

Sheila, happy you had a great flight on SWISS. Mine was on the same model aircraft, but the seat adjustment in business class was like an old old motor grinding out the seat adjustments, a 'mystery meal unidentifiable, and very pleasant attendnts who apologized for the food. I'll stick with United or Lufthansa, myself.

Hope you enjoyed your solo trip. Porto is on my bucket list so I got a lot out of this series. United flies from Newark but I’d rather connect in Europe and avoid Newark. Jealous of the pastel de natas! Delicious!

@@SheilaSimkin haha! I don't believe I ever came to that point, except the first time I drank four glasses of red and three of white, on my first trip to Italy at 17 years old. Sick, very sick. And had to fly home the next day. Didn't attempt wine again for 20 years.

There's always "something" that attracts the eye. Then get home and wonder why I bought it.
Nothing worse than an early morning. I have a flight booked out of Brussels and am toying with overnighting rather than getting a 7am train from Amsterdam.
The difference is, you are using logic, and the rest of the world is using something else…control.
