- The epicranius is essentially two muscle gasters with a strong fascial connection between them called the galea aponeurotica.
Spasm in muscles such as the hamstrings (e.g. biceps femoris) or the plantar fascia can cause tightness through this area, ultimately causing tension in the head and neck, or headaches.
Tension anywhere along the posterior back-line kinetic chain can lead to shortening of the galea aponeurotica, resulting in tension headaches and a hyperextended cervical spine.
This can result in a posteriorly tilted pelvis in order to provide a level eye view when walking or running, and is a recipe for myofascial trigger point formation.
Pain from these trigger points is typically referred upward from the frontalis muscle over the forehead on the same side.
The occipitalis muscle can also refer pain into the eyeball or behind the eye, and can travel down behind the ear and into the nose.
Sensitivity to sound and light are often reported, with a resulting increase in experienced pain.

Had this headache for 2 days bc of wrong sleeping position and the moment i did this, the headache cleared and suddenly im burping up all of the air which i was not able to at all prior to this. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
What do you mean by “burping up the air?” I have pain here and also strange gastro activity such as air feeling trapped inside me - wondering if there’s a connection
I also had this ache at the back of my ear and I think the cause is in my sleeping position.
@@jeffersonabangan9832 May I ask what sleeping position you believe was causing you problems?
Wow ive been in pain all day and trying lot if stretches. I did this with the opposite hand it was like pushing the pain button off. Amazing
This appears to work for my wife and may provide some relief between chiropractor visits. Thanks!

When i touch this point left.. I feel dizziness and spinning... Tell me some solution
Thank you that ends the pain sensation
Thank you! That really seemed to work
Hello Vanessa … thank you for your feedback 🙏
Please can you show me how to release the digastric muscle using your ischemic technique.
Thank you. Where can I come see you?
I've been suffering from neck & jaw stiffness. first, jaw stiffness started at 2019 or before & neck stiffness at 2020. when jaw stiffness first appeared, i had the feeling of moving it alot to feel comfortable, i cant laugh while my mouth is wide open all the time, and it keeps producing popping & cracking sounds. Then, neck stiffness appeared after a year or so and its near impossible to live a day without moving my neck alot to get relief.
I've tried every most ways to relieve the stiffnesses and trigger points such as: chiropractor, physiotherapists, stretches, exercises, bought multiple neck support pillows and still looking for solutions but i got no results. all doctors told me i have to be fit and carefully exercise alot but at the same time im pretty sure its a problem of my jaw. I also recently developed trigger points in my upper side head & i dont know the reason. ( now i sleep on a normal pillow as neck support pillows are not that comfortable)
has anyone experienced anything like me? and found a solution by any chance?

Can this fixed or is it pain relief?
I NEED HELP RIGHT NOW PLEASE!!! So there is this lump behind my ear it's kind of to where the end of your glasses lead to but a bit more down. I've had that for years and a few months ago I had a horrible sharp pain there and it would go away then a few months later it comes back. At times it hurts whenever I move my neck to the left and right but at times I move my neck and it doesn't hurt. Not sure if it's a not or if it might be a hard cyst but it's starting to bother me and all day today at work I couldn't focus the pain is like at a 7 but whenever I massage it or allow pressure it shoots up into a 10. Don't know what to do don't know if I should go to a chiropractor or somewhere but I need help please. Is there so.ething you might recommend to help me with the pain?
I have the same pain

Not sure if this is your issue, but we do have lymph glands there. Mine bother me when my wisdom teeth act up coming in.

I’m hoping this works for me, been suffering this horrible face,Jaw,ear type ache for last 12 month, obvs I’m not silly and don’t go running to docs when I feel this type of pain, so been doing a prossess of elimination and it’s either Trigeminal or optical neuralgia, been looking for self help and came here, iv go app to confirm my ideas. Just want it to go 😔
Thank you for your feedback 🙏
Do you have spasms
My head aches so much, but especially after gym workout
bro I’ve had headaches from a strained suboccipital muscle recently, I took some time off work, took time off gym, drink lots of water, ice your neck heaps in the first 2 days when you start, after icing, sit at room temp for 10 minutes and then apply a heat pack for 20 minutes, then take the heat off wait 5 minutes then start doing a bunch of these neck/suboccipital stretches while the muscles are reasonably warm, drink green tea in between meals, the antioxidants and healing factors will help if the muscles are irritated/swollen, however I still recommend seeing a GP for a diagnosis and pain medication should you need it, they may recommend you a physio for proper professional treatment, it takes time for it to heal, so apply ice, heat, stretch it and don’t move around too much, sit on the couch.
