Brock bowers has got to be one of the most electric tight ends in all of of football. That guys 40 time will surprise a lot of people.
I was at the natty debating other Georgia fans that he runs a sub 4.5
That TD against Tech was a man vs middle school.
With his size and athleticism he could be the next Calvin Johnson if he keeps improving.
And he's was/is a freshman.
Excited to see what he's got capable of.. Being a freshmen doing that his first year is super scary
Idk why people thought Georgia was overrated this year. Even after they lost to Bama in the SEC Championship, it just felt like they had a bad game more than they were “exposed”. All year they were the best team in the country from start to finish.
Anyone who ever said Georgia was overrated just doesn’t know football. You can’t take those clowns seriously.
I thought they were exposed as Bennett being the weak link in their offense but I never thought they were overrated, I just thought they needed to get the running game and pass rush going more in the championship to help Bennett out, which they did, Bennett didn't play exceptional thru out the game but came up huge in the last quarter, he had a hot hand and was burning Alabama's defense
@@Angelo-nv8eo great performance but I still think it was a huge and dumb risk to let Stetson ride out the rest of the season instead of JT. Stetson was definitely the weakest link out of team
Before the SEC game, you could double every opponent's score, Georgia would still be 12-0 and still have the lowest points allowed in the nation. People saying they were overrated saw one bad game and decided the rest of the season didn't count...but clearly it did.

I want to point out that at 11:18 in this video you can see Kirby Smart and two other Georgia coaches extending a hand and helping Bryce Young up from the ground in a moment of pure respect and I love that. These two teams are great rivals but have much respect for each other.
I honestly wonder what it would take for Bama to earn "rival" status. I don't hate the Tide, I just want to beat them. Respect has no place in a true rivalry, so Auburn, Florida, and Tennessee are perfect 😂

It's funny, Georgia and Bama have never really been pure rivals. They are almost friends in arms. Georgia hates all Orange teams and any team with a mascot that is an insect.
They deserved it more than any other team
Reflecting back on this season, I find it poetic how Christopher Smith's interception against Clemson essentially paved the way for Georgia to have a chance in the playoffs even after the loss to Alabama in the SEC championship. It was the only touchdown in that game and practically confirmed Georgia's undefeated record. And to top it off, Kelee Ringo's pick-6 in the national championship game rendered the Dawgs champions, from what could have been an Alabama touchdown potentially moving the game to overtime! What an absolute storybook journey for this year's UGA football team!
I hope Arian Smith can stay healthy next season....I really believe if healthy he's the most explosive playmaker UGA has...

That Clemson game pick 6 was one of the biggest plays all year.
REALLY settles an offense down for you defense to break a tie for you in a close game.

Was sub 7 before Kirby and Lanning decided to mess around with the defense before Bama
My opinion, defense is what made Georgia #1 all year and ultimate champs. I mean those red zone stops in the championship game made all the difference.
And Bama didn't have to play a single game against the Heisman winner that year, we played against him twice so to still have it at 10.2 ifls beyond impressive. RG3 was the Heisman winner.
@@brettjern3264 Adding to that, 2011 was also before the era of high-powered offenses. Back then, you could just stick with a strong run game and your defense could win it for you. For Georgia to have numbers like that in 2021 is ridiculous. They must be a bunch of aliens.

Alot of young guys were HUGE contributors this year, I hope we keep Monken with all the attrition on Defense we may have to open it up moreon offense we bring back ALOT of young wrs and Brock Bowers.
I get that Bennett made mistakes but how could anyone that watched every game doubt him? He was dropping dimes and the dude just had something about him you had to like.

@@ugadawgs-ho8wd The other thing is the complainers are always heard the loudest. From the fans that I know and forums that i read, UGA fans love him.
Because he doesn’t have a high ceiling like some of UGA’s backups, and he’s 1-2 against Bama and 1-1 against Florida. He’s got a ton of experience, which has been the deciding factor for him over other QBs on the roster.
I see him as kind of a mobile Greg McElroy: serviceable, but pending an elite replacement.

That interception was so easy to read that even Gary Danielson got it early.
Wanna know the craziest part? Everyone in the first 2 minutes of highlights (Chris Smith, Jermaine Burton, Brock Bowers, Arian Smith and AD Mitchell) are all gonna be back next year. The defense will take a step back but our offense will be so nasty.

Man. A play that'll forever be etched in my mind. 3rd & 10 w/ 1:09 left to go and kelee Ringo ( 1 ovr db of the 2020 class from Oregon, also my graduation year. I stopped in the middle of Pharmacy class and watched where he decided to go and i was elated to see he went to UGA) picks off Young for a pick six and seals the 40+ year drought for Georgia.
Hope the country is paying attention... this offense was very young and without Arian and Jack saint... and the 22’ defence will be the most talented on paper, not as high a IQ as the 21’ D, but young, fast and talented. Cant wait to repeat! Go Dawgs! 😎

Finally got around to watching the entire thing, some curious editing decisions here as to what to include. Obviously showing AD's natty catch vs Bama twice was likely simply a mistake, but some of the other choices were odd to say the least. Glad McIntosh got some love, and Daijun Edwards too... but how does his run vs Mich get included over Kenny's halfback pass, lol. And if you were gonna show anything from the Charleston Southern cupcake game, how was it not Jordan Davis' TD run a la Refrigerator Perry?! As I said, curious indeed. One thing that changed Georgia besides it's historically great defense is greatly improved wide receiver play.
Stetson is one of the best long throwers with serious downfield speed receivers, Stafford had a cannon for an arm, but far down the field, Stetson has amazing accuracy,...and possibly more real good and fast receivers than Stafford had to work with.
