- Don't build mansions in Ghana - do this to make extra money in Ghana
This video is not to knock anyone down the style of building they decide to put up. This is a wonderful idea that has helped me so much and I want to share. There are a lot of uncompleted mansions scattered in Ghana partly due to the mammoth nature of the project and how long it takes to complete. And when completed after a long time, normally offers no income but rather takes money off owners to maintain. Most of these owners are stationed abroad and don't even get the chance to live in the house that much.
In short, all I'm saying in this video is, you can choose to put up whatever style of building you prefer, but please make sure it ends up as an asset (something that suits your needs and put money in your) and not a liability (something that takes money of you) without any returns...I hope you enjoy it...
Every country has a story; so does its people. I get to travel and visit different parts of the world due to the nature of my work, so I take viewers with me in the form of vlogs to explore and tell beautiful stories of the people and the places that I am working.
I am dedicated to provide deep, meaningful and entertaining contents for you, my viewers....
So enjoy!!!

Solid information. As a builder, I have converted massive single family homes into separate apartments . Now they benefit from a passive income from those apartments .
Nice one.
Interesting to know that someone is ahead of us😁😁😁. We are applying the same concept to convert our old bungalow in Ghana into 3 rental apartments. Big thumbs up for the works done.
It will all happen in God's time. Thanks and all the best with your project.
Mickey! Many Thanks! Yeah!
Great idea ,thanks
You are welcome.
Wow! Great job
Thank you.
Love this channel
Thank you 🙏🏾. Any particular reason why? if you don't mind me asking?
Very good Education 👍👍👍
This a good idea thank you 🙏 for sharing.
I'm happy you found it useful.
Good advice, wisdom for sure. Build two good sized with descent materials. Quality and usefulness and an income.
Excellent idea. Keep up updated constantly.
I will do. Thanks.
Good advice man 💯🙏🏾
Thank you. I'm happy you found it useful.
It's beautiful. Thanks for the advice
Thanks very much.
Great well done 👍🏽
Thanks very much🙏🏾
Love your tiles sir
Thank you.
Your house is very spacious. I love your idea. Build for income not for showoff!
Thanks very much. Definitely. Income first then later your dream house.
THIS IS GREAT to see. No place like home
Yes brother. No place like home.
V v practical and sensible, just taking a leaf out of your bk. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I'm very happy this information is useful.
You have made an excellent decision 👏. You can never go wrong by investing in property. It is one of the best. Thanks for showing us. Good job 👏
Yes you are right. The only market (rental market) that can be trusted in terms of its longevity in my opinion. Thanks for your support 👏🏾
Love your compound house story my great grand papa had a compound house built also with cocoa wealth In Nigeria. I have learnt from your idea and have friends whom have lost their homes to families. You know when families your mother brings in to stay if you don’t put your foot down and stand your ground they will stay put and you can’t throw them out. So that idea of two 3 bedroom units is my new dream now. Thanks and give my regards to pretty wife.
Thanks very much for your feedback. I'm happy both videos resonated with you. Please keep your dreams alive and they shall come to pass with God's help. I will pass on your regards. Thanks once again 🙏🏾
Good job brother. I started following you 2 years ago in Belize.
Wow...you've been here from the start. Thanks very much.
I agree with you start with a income property gain income ,and later you build your forever castle lol.
Exactly my point.
Thank you for this information! I’m getting ready to build on my land in Ghana & now I shall build a even smaller ranch style house for to rent out like an Air B&B plus to do business out of it as well. Thanks for the idea….
You are welcome. I'm happy it was helpful. It is definitely the way to go. And no matter how far it is, I can assure you, you will get people to rent them from you.
Good job, uncle! Like always, i really admire your sensibility. Keep the smart topics coming.
As always thank you Rainbow for your feedback. It means a lot to me.
Beautiful 🔥
Thank you 🙏🏾
Wow great
Thanks sis.
Powerful advice
Thanks very much.
It seems I made the right decision. My first build is made up of three apartments. Two two-bedroom flats and one 3-bedroom flat. I'm building incrementally. I'm now done with one of the 2-bedroom apartment and living in it
You made the right decision bro. As long as it takes to build, you know you will have some assets to put some coins in your pocket later.
Interesting
That's very true 100%
Good content
Thanks very much for your feedback Diana.
I love everything un this 2 bedrooms apartment, very spacious and so beautiful 😍 thanks for the advice and sharing 😊
Thanks very much.
Watching from North Carolina
Thanks very much for watching.
Mickey ,you are my new hero, sound thinking I would like to invest in your next project.I actually thought you would suggest an estate house to house several families.with inside courtyard .I really love this community living model.
I'm humbled by your kind words. The community living model you've mentioned is a very good idea. Though people are beginning to move away from that in the name of privacy, I'm sure at an affordable price there will still be a market for it.
nice building
Thanks 🙏🏾
Thank you
You are welcome.
The land acquisition scandal is too common in Ghana these days. I also got duped like 2,800$. but fortunately for me I ended gotten the land. Is a learned lesson 😅
We thank God. I wasn't so lucky but we moved on.
Great video, my wife and I are building a three level apartment for airbnb at east lagon hills.
Nice! That's the best way to go. Once that project is done, your dream project won't take as long.
@Mickey Agyei definitely, we had the same advice from a friend who told us there is no need for a big mansion and keep sending money for someone to take care of it while we are in Canada. We can make money from this project and leave one apartment for ourselves.
@@louiskwaku8879 Exactly.
Is very very good idea thank you.
You are welcome Aunty 🙏🏾🙏🏾
Sorry to hear you lost money mickey. Best of luck for the future 🙏🏾😉😊
Thank you very much 🙏🏾
I am doing the same thing in Rwanda, six 2 bed 2 bath apartments, ground + 2 floors. I will be living in one apartment. 🙂
Good move
wow I love your tiles bro, please from which shop if I may ask.
Thank you. We got them from West African Tiles at Ahodwo roundabout, Kumasi.
@@MickeyAgyei please thank you
@@stephenamoah9550 You are welcome.
Great advice and it's something I will work with as I'm planning my moves to settle in Ghana. Please, is it possible to meet you next month when l'm Ghana? Thanks.
I'm happy it was helpful. Unfortunately I'll not be in Ghana next month. I'll be in UK. I'm sorry.
No problem, thanks.
How long does it take to build something like this? very interesting idea...you really gave me a lot to think about?
It took us 10 years but it was because I had other things going on. Cost £70k to £80k.
Very practical, thanks for sharing.
How long did it take you to complete the flats?
I will say 10 years. It could have been shorter but I had other things going on and ended up spreading myself thin. With focus I think one can get it done in about 5.
@@MickeyAgyei that's pretty quick when you compare it to how long it would have taken you to pay for it in the UK.
Thanks for your reply.
@@MickeyAgyei Do you the property taxes in Ghana that the UK has?
@@oceejekwam6829 Very true. That confirms what I mean by getting more for your money in Ghana than in UK. You are always welcome buddy.
@@oceejekwam6829 We have a yearly tax but its peanut. I've heard that the NPP government is trying to bring something up but I'm yet to research into it.
WOW! That's a good sound idea you have there AJ. Might consider an idea like that from you bro. 🤔
I'm happy it helped bro 🙏🏾
Young bro you’ve done well …
Thank you.
Beautiful! How much is one of the Apartment Monthly? I appreciate your advice, brother!
£100 - £150 equivalent a month at the moment.

👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 thanks for your this information.Bruv this is exactly what I’m doing now. I completely demolished my four bedroom family home and have converted it into two bedrooms apartment.Thank you so much.God Bless you for your selfless service to your viewers and subscribers
Oh wow. I know that must have hurt demolishing but it's the right decision. You will have enough space for the family and rental money in future. May God bless you too and thanks for your kind words bro 🙏🏾
@@MickeyAgyei How were you able to have the POP finishing so clean? In Ghana I see so much POP splatter at the finishing stage.
@@dandiablo3809 Do you mean POP splatter on the tiles?
@@MickeyAgyei Yeh on the tiles, window seals, doors etc etc
@@dandiablo3809 Ahhh. POP was done before the tiles and big warnings were issued before the installation lol. We also had a big clean up before the paint job.
Hi mickey watching from Belize City
Hello Phillipa. Thanks for watching. I hope you are well.
Yea I as a jamaican building a 3 bed in Asebu my god the mansions been build around my 3 bed house, it will be lost. But you know what I am going to make it a cosy cottage, hopefully as I am alone, I could air bnb a room or 2.
@@corfob9238 Please don't be pressured by what goes on around you. Please do what suits your needs. And remember building a 3 bedroom house is not an easy feat to achieve so please be proud of yourself. It is your own space.
May God bless your plans.
@MickeyAgyei thank you my brother, 20 yrs now in the UK and I got to get out, its drowning me, and am proud of my lily house hoping to finish it soon and waiting for my jamaican passport to book that flight.

A good video there bro
Thanks very much.
You are right
👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Glad my husband and I decided to build a smaller house. After 5 years, our house is now liveable. No more pressure 😊
Well done!!! Now you can finally put it to bed and maybe start concentrating on an investment property. That's how generational wealth is built.
@@MickeyAgyei thanks. That's a great suggestion 🤔 wishing you all the best 👍🏾😊

Pls which Celling did used for the kitchen and bath rooms
They were all POP. But just a simple flat pattern unlike the living room.
Thank u
You should have utilized the land more but is a great start.
I know. I had no money 😂😂
@mickey agyei, Respectfully please dont encourage people to forgo having architectural and engineering drawings done professionally for their projects. Ghana has a lot of issues with the quality of the construction as many builders dont follow the law. I'm glad you're happy with the design of your project. But ultimately it's about the longevity of the building itself, tiles go in and out of fashion. In five years your yaste may vhange what matters is in five years that the construction has held up.
I think it's the way I explained it. I used an architect. What I meant is, it costs less for them to work on a simple house like this than a mansion. Thanks for pointing it out though.
@@MickeyAgyei Hi, I love your apartment design. Is there anyway I can get the apartments plans so that I can get an architect to look at it and come up with something similar for me ?
@@MickeyAgyei Do you have an email address through which I can contact you?
@@benbo7042 Hello, is it possible to message me on Instagram @mickey_agyei. I'm yet to get a work email.
@@MickeyAgyei Thanks for your prompt response. Unfortunately I am not on Instagram.
Good idea, I wish I did this instead of story building, is too much money 😳
☹ I hope there is a way you can get the best out it.
@@MickeyAgyei my family lives downstairs, so hopefully God willing when I'm done I will live upstairs 😁
@@helenaadu5092 Oh good.
Would it be possible if you floor the top and project the same structure on to have 4 apartments in all ? That’s exactly the way I was thinking which made me went for that
It is possible as long as the foundation was laid to bear the extra weight and you have the money.
What about building those apartment style houses to sell? Good idea?
As long as you can get buyers. I've never tried that so I'm not sure what it entails.
Please I have 1 acres of land which is 4 plot of lands and I decided to build one and two bedroom apartments just like in America and I wouldn’t have to do pop and such stuffs but yours too is beautiful
Your 3 bedroom flat will all three tenants use the same living room and kitchen?
Oh ok. That's a nice plan.
Each 3 bedroom apartment is rented out to one family. Not the rooms. So my apartment is very generous.
@@MickeyAgyei ok thanks
Please do you have TWO 3 bedroom flats on the same one plot of land?
And how much did each 3 flats cost after completion?
Thanks sir
Yes, both flats are on an 80 by 100 size plot. Both came up to around £70k to £80k after completion. Please make sure you do your own estimates for today's market as cost of building materials have skyrocketed since completion.
❤
Are these ready for rentals ? I want one 🤩
Aww sorry bro. They are all gone.
can we get a plan? can it be shared by uploading into your description?
Unfortunately, it's not possible. Sorry about that.
❤❤❤
Old Gee. Thanks very much for the support 🙏🏾
Hallo bro, pls where is the location of your apartment and how much do u rent them out for?
It's in Kumasi and each go for around £100 to £150 cedi equivalent per month.
Looking for an apartment like this is it available to rent? And which part of Ghana is this
Hello, it's in Kumasi but I'm sorry they are all gone.
@@MickeyAgyei okay thank you
Where can l get a house plan like there?
I normally go on pinterest for inspiration then to an architect to draw.
💪🏿
My G.
People that build mansions in Africa didnt need money from real estate rentals, they just need privacy
Very true.
💪✊✊💪
Mickey what style is this. May I have the architect
Oh ok. I've seen your message on Instagram and I will respond there. Thanks.
@@MickeyAgyei ok
This is instagram right
@@geraldineblair388 I've sent you a message on Instagram
Thank You, I can skip your video ✌️
How much did it cost to build?
£70k - £80k. Please do your estimates well as prices of construction materials have skyrocketed since completion.
How much to rent these beautiful apartments?; what part of Ghana are these apartments located in? How do we get in contact with you? What's the cost to build houses like these houses?
They are located in Kumasi. Unfortunately, they are all gone at the moment. Please contact me on Instagram @mickey_agyei. Thanks very much.
How much can you expect to earn in rental income?
It's in a new and developing area. £100 - £150 per flat every month. Prices rises every year as the place develops.
Mickey y3 guy
🤣🤣🤣
Painting and choice of tiles were too off. Too much beige colour. Should have Kept minimal..
Oh ok. Point noted.
Can you build a house in Ghana in 100 days
Yes. It all depends on the type of house and your disposable resources.
Secure job for life? Where is that?!!
Doesn't exist. It was just me trying to emphasize the importance of creating passive income.
You probably don't know this, but the 3 mountains in your profile picture are three "V"s which equates to the number 6 in Hebrew. The logo is used by those who worship the dragon and use his 666 system. Just a heads up, if you didn't know.
Oh ok. Thanks for pointing it out. I designed the logo myself with my initials MA forming the mountain in a green sea, with no dragon in mind. The red, yellow and green signifies my Ghanaian 🇬🇭 heritage with the black star, the hope of Africa placed at the top right side of the circumference. The silhouette of the birds signifies the horizon; how far this channel can go with hard work. The "V"s are just a coincidence but thank you very much for letting me know, I really appreciate it 🙏🏾.
@@MickeyAgyei You know how it is with symbology. Symbols are everywhere and I think subconsciously we just store them. I didn't think it was intentional.
@@angrybritches1854@mickey agyei , Don't listen to this foolishness about devil worship symbols of your logo design. It's very clearly the Ghana flag colors and your initials. People like this just come to sew doubt and be a distraction. A lot of people on the internet are lonely and miserable and live to spread it to others. Don't EVER give too much weight to the opinions of strangers writing to you behind a keyboard. Remember you don't know any of us. Ultimately you know your own heart and how you love your life and that is what matters. Stay blessed.
@@Erica-ls7bp Ignorance is bliss.
@@Erica-ls7bp I was gonna let this go, but I must say, you really seem like a whyte person attempting to cause descent between two brothers. I mention something about symbols without making accusations, brother Mickey is not offended by my observation, I then reiterate in my second reply that I mean no harm and then YOU start the conversation with calling a stranger that you are not having a conversation with as foolish. Then you follow up insult with accusations that I mean my brother harm and also I want to spread the harm to others. Instead of just acting out of utter ignorance and leading others astray why don't you at least validate the thoughts you have because it is mere fact that the 6th letter(s) "V" / "W" in Hebrew equates to the number six. Please stop speaking out of ignorance and opinion, and educate yourself. If you have anger, take it out on the Europeans stealing your resources or the failures of your leaders not to put Africa or her people first.
Someone does that in United States
Oh ok.
I am not sure why you guys keep rolling out numbers and figures in pounds and dollars and not cedis which is Ghana's legal tender.
You are right but we also have to cater for viewers all over the world. Left to me alone I'd love to create content in Twi and use local currencies but it might limit the audience.
