I believe you left some effects and resistances out. I think he provided one of the strongest possible enemies, for his doomstack.
The regeneration gives them -20% to fire, and if the enemy has warpflame attacks or a normal fire caster, the resistance goes down even more, for a part of the fight.

I don't expect EGUOs to be as good as this guy, but it sucks that they don't boost anything for nurgle at all,not even normal GUOs.. just generic caster lords with a aoe damage effect

@@Obregon- I painted the map with Nurgle recently and I would say there is couple of issues:
1. Tech does not boost mortal units
2. Techs are also out of place and clearly made ROC in mind
3. Rotflies survivability and damage suck
4. Toads damage suck
5. Units and buildings are expensive compared to income
Other than that Nurgle definitely does not suck. Magic OP, plagues are great, most of the units are dope, best healing in the game. After greater demons got bound spells normal GUO became super useful. Two free fleshly abundance and blight boils hello! I went against three full stacks of dwarf end game and I barely took any causalities. If I took causalities I could instantly recruit dead units back.
@@allthingsconsideringfine1473 I'm currently finishing my first nurgle campaign and I mostly agree with your feedback. I don't really expect the monogods to be able to greatly boost mortal units, but their tech trees and upgrade paths feel unfinished compared with other factions.
Compare the EGUO with a treeman Lord for comparison. The treeman has like 4 different skills to boost forest spirits while nurgle has nothing but the red line. they didn't put in the effort to finish that stuff for the monogod factions.
The on fire debuff from those flying units is hurting your healing sooo much. They really made flame attack a lot more relevant and I think that's cool, it definitely impacted this battle in ways you and others probably didn't give it enough credit for.
Due to having so many fire based attacks/spells that stopped the constant regeneration, I feel like Tzeentch truly was the best match up against this army. Yes, the army took a lot of damage in the beginning, but it wasnt passively healing as much since the fire stopped that. Even that first overcast heal was cut short due to the flamers still alive and shooting on some units.
fire debuff don't stop healing, it only halfs it and reduces all healing effects by 50%. Still making the healing spell only heal 16% of their max health instead of 32% is a massive debuff the the mana efficiency.
He missed that the trolls had 60% magic resistance

@@austinbolton1260 honestly your marauders champions are better than impossible to buff chosen - because of buffs from red tree + techs and those techs are insane. With that special Lord all units in Norsca could probably doomstack even simple marauders lol.

Huh, this is just outright more nurgle-y than actually playing a nurgle Daemon or WoC faction.
I always found it so weird that there is so little regeneration (let alone horrible regen which is EXACTLY on-theme for nurgle) within the nurgle faction, and their healing spells dont resurrect by default either.
The best thing about this army is how cheap it is. Dude has 33 armies, and the trolls only cost 459 gold each to maintain
I feel like a big woodelf endgame crisis with their magic missiles could give this army a problem. Other than that, this seems unkillable. Really interesting aswell, didnt know norsca got new reward stuff

Trolls are pretty quick, I guess it depends how fast you can get into combat.
I love how this is Lord is a nod to Vermintide 2 and how Fat Shark always renamed Burblespew Halescourge something else in the patch notes.

This was extra impressive. That 15% of fire resists? it's not much considering Ice trolls also have weakness to fire as well as regen. If i remember correctly, by default they take 40% more damage from fire attacks. So in this case it was reduced to 25% weakness. But then blue/pink horrors apply on hit that adds another 10% weakness. So considering all the extra damage these trolls were taking, they handled it like bosses.
Btw, I think Throgg should have a skill or special building that lets him recruit every kind of troll in the game including stone trolls. He is a Troll King so he should get access to all of them. Maybe even get him access to some bigger trolls similiar to how you have knights of Torgaval For Iveress, which is 4 entities unit of hippogryph riders as opposed to Bretonian one.

The fire resist shown is already the sum of all modifiers, no? The fire weakness from regen is already counted there.
@@vallar57 It is not since fire resist and vulnerability are actually two different modifiers. But yeah it's not 40% weakness like that guy said it's 20%.

Mammoths would benefit from this, though, right? They might not get "horrible" regeneration, but regenerating mammoths seems helpful enough anyway.

The spam of vortex spells was hilariously ridiculous, and honestly could give a lot of blobs a bit of trouble if they were all overlapped properly. That would be a big burst of damage across a huge number of them.

I don't think this is completely idiot-proof. If you weren't careful with winds usage and took too much damage too quickly you could have a mass rout on your hands. 8/10 IMO. Strong army but there are more powerful doomstacks out there. Pretty good as far as Norsca goes.
Yeah, the routing stands out as a potential problem to me.
I wonder how this would work with armored skinwolves instead. Even faster, anti-large, more armoed, even more physical resistance, still have regeneration, and you could add a werekin or two for the buffs they can provide to units around them. I haven't tried Norsca in WH3 so I don't know what may or may not have changed
I think Fimmirs would be better. They have great stats, armour, resistance. Only thing they ever lacked was regen but horrible regeneration is provided by lord so that one is covered.

It seems Warhammer 3 has allowed for a much wider berth of great Doomstacks.
Legend, please tell us what is the weakness of each doomstack, for example this one, is it 10/10 at every scenario? Would wood elf army be able to beat it as its relatively slow?
The Wood Elf army would run out of ammo before the trolls ran out of health. Eltharion the Grimm with a full Shadow Walker stack as his Endless volley trait would mean you can kite for the entire battle and focus fire a unit down to overwhelm their healing while the poison attack keeps them slowed down. Imrik with a Star dragon doom stack may also work. Have a life wizard on horse and fly around using breath attacks to focus fire a unit at a time or have all 19 target the Lord then land to pick off the rest.
also this tzeench army was almost unbeatable, several lords of change with bound spells, kairos, and chosen of tzeench. every other army even some one man doomstacks or other doomstacks wouldnt have stood a chance

And with that bonus, it could make a Wulfric or Throgg one man doomstack even more powerful
one of the traits of the nurgle lord is 30% HP For all characters so you can wulfric with around 25k hp with the right traits
I got this guy a couple of turns ago so building his army now.I had not realised just how outstanding his Lord trait actually was until you pointed it out.. I will certainly be putting a couple of Skinwolf Werekin Heroes into the army for the melee atk and armour buffs and maybe a couple of Frostworms to kill annoying flying units.
The more of these 1 unit Doomstacks I see the more I realise balanced armies are just better and you are harming yourself by doing this.
Timing the Lord hitting the line when their speed is so much lower then the front line is a hassle a pain. the aura leadership buff is important so you start them out the enemy takes bait focuses then the men charge in?
whenever i tried this as throgg he would just rout immediately to any strong lord or spirit leech, then the trolls run

The heal is expensive so if you get stuck in a low WOM scenario you could be in trouble
norsca short campaign victory gives 30 winds per turn faction wide so by the time you have this you'll always have 100 even if you're in a shit region.

Mathematical question: at one point during the battle burning chariot of Tzeench had 22 kills. How many trolls were killed during battle if at the end there were zero casualties?

@@DIEGhostfish @DIEGhostfish I doubt it since buffs never interact like that in TWW. This GUO gives horrible regen. Throg replaces regen with horrible regen. So you still just have horrible regen. Having 2 sources of the same buff never stacks. One is just ignored.

Unfortunately the only lords affected by the save character thing are tww2 lords which came out at a certain time period, I think after the Twisted and Twilight DLC

U need chaos dlc new one but recruit a sorcer with lore death and dedicate him to nurgle. Then ascend to demonhood

Imma say 9/10 simply because this doomstack isn't idiot-proof. All the 10/10 doomstacks allow you to just charge in no fucks given and let the units do the work without having to worry. You gotta be smart with this one in terms of knowing when to blob, when to use your heal, and allowing your units to heal in the end. Yeah it'll probably face every army and win, but if you are dumb about it and just charge in, this army will lose.
This was quite literally the worst match up for the army and it did flawlessly. Against a mortal army? Or one without fire attacks? Idiot proof.
Tzeentch army doomstack is one of the hardest to fight in the entire game. That infernal gateway spam by the AI would’ve obliterated the Khorne Minotaur doomstack rated to be 9.5/10 or badly damage the aspiring champion doomstack if they clumped. And this team did it flawlessly.

If your scale is 8-10, then 8's are actually 1's and you're just not taking advantage of a full spectrum. If there are a bunch of "yeah that's a doomstack, but it's only a 2/10 doomstack" then it might be nice to see them for context. I imagine there are some fun or crazy ones which aren't all that good, but might be fun anyhow. If the 8's are really the lowest you'd consider an actual doomstack, then you can get a finer resolution on scores if you use the whole range of 1-10 instead of just the top 3 lol

We need a standard scenario in which Dommstacks are tested. Let's say four full armies from the Dwarf Crisis.
That wouldn't work. Dwarves have clear and well-known strengths and weaknesses and hardly deviate from them ever. If he did that, soon enough we'd be seeing the same doomstack over and over.

Ovn in tw2 albion gets attacked by doomstacks pratically. Ice forge legion multiple chosen, mamoths and giants. I wasnt confident in fighting them unless i used 2 armies against there 1
@@Praiokles That wouldn't really work because of how diverse the warhammer factions are. Doomstack A might struggle with something Doomstack B could easily win, but that doesn't mean Doomstack B is better than Doomstack A in every situation.
