26:57 if you look in the background, there are a couple of flying axes. I think that orc got completely crushed and only the axes are left.

I had that happened to me as well, but with the vampire coast with a Depth Guard.

It really makes make me happy to see legend laugh and still have fun with this gem despite the literal thousands of hours over the years and just coming off a 24 livestream
I remember a shadow of mordor animation where an orc got his head chopped off but is still talking somehow from the stump, it's funny
that game got a bit disturbing, I started feeling sorry for some of the orcs I tormented especially when they went mad.

It’s important to have corpses set to never fade out with this, otherwise they disappear instead of fighting the rest of the battle

This reminds me of the Gotrek and Felix book "Orcslayer" in which there is a creature named the sleeper which mind controls both orcs and dwarfs. At one point in the book though, there are zombie orcs without limbs still fighting after being "dead". The only difference is that cutting off the heads actually did them in lol.

I remember Legend trying to beat the record for most kills, and his game bugging out completely, and then crashing after people told him to change his settings mid-fight. Good times!

Pretty sure it is canon that Orks/Orcs can keep fighting after losing their heads. At least in 40k, there's a couple notable examples I can think of like Ghazkull and Ufthak Blackhawk, both of whom had their heads attached to larger, fightier bodies and kept going.
Yeah, in WHFB too but like.. not for too long. Everything runs on automatic for a few minutes getting in at least one or two more kills before collapsing.
The main thing was more that headshots/hits weren't a guaranteed kill because the brain was just so small that even if you hit the head straight on, you'd probably miss. So decapitations were the only guaranteed way to go but you had to beware that if the Orc/Ork was still standing (and not like, tripped over) it could still very much kill you in it's last moments.
40k Orks? Yes. Fantasy Orcs? No, they don't have that level of regeneration. Trolls on the other hand can and have survived without a head, Trogg actually gained a brain from losing his head. The only way to kill a troll is to remove their heart or stomach, they apparently can't grow a new stomach before dying of malnutrition, also fire can stop a troll from regenerating but they're somewhat immune to acid.
@@beastwarsFTW Not talking regeneration, just longevity after being "killed". Both fantasy orcs and 40k orks have this thing where there's very little relation between brain and body. It's less about surviving after decapitation and more "how long it takes for the body to realise it's dead".
@@rubeniscool Well theres that shaman in Grom's campaign that got his head cut off yet the head was still alive and wanted revenge against Eltharion Edit: Though Grom remarked (at least through quest dialogue (I believe those main quest journals are through the LL's POV for like their special items etc)that the shaman seemed alot more unhinged and crazier than he used to be.

I once read 'You had to cut off an Orc's head and show it, its own decapitated body to convince them they were truly dead' I guess the body didn't read the same novel.
