This was a nice overview of the game (I bought the ruleset) - I've been painting a bunch of Dark Ages/Saga stuff for a while, and stumbled upon an old cache of 80's Ral Partha figs that I'd like to game with! This spurs me onward. Thanks
Thank you! I too was very happy to have been introduced to this game, similar to you for the fact that it is so adaptable, but the fact that it can bring some of those old classic figs off the shelf is an added bonus!
Thanks! I had it my mind to do that, but have been focusing on other videos. But seeing as you have asked, I will definitely bump it higher on the list of videos to make!
@@TheBoardGameTeacher Good idea! I think that there is a growing interest about Dragon rampant among Wargamers, thus such a video will be appreciated. Looking forward to seeing it. Hitting subscribe 😉
Hi. I believe your teaching of the "venomous" attribute is incorrect. You said that each "6" does two hits instead of one. But the rules clearly state that "any Attack die (not Defense die) that rolls 6 does 2 STRENGTH POINTS OF DAMAGE" This effect is NOT extra hits (which are compared to the target's armour value), but DAMAGE inflicted on the target unit. Yes, very effective, but that's why it is so expensive (+3 cost).
Venomous has been arratted by Daniel mursley. He used to have an official errata on his personal website, but I believe it was taken down. You can still find the errata on the dux rampant forums. The errata is that a six counts as two hits, and the upgrade can be purchased twice to apply to both attacks and shooting.
Thank's for that video. Force selection was what I wanted to see.
Thanks! I found force selection a bit daunting at first too, so felt a video was a good idea!
Thanks for this nice "how to" video, really usedfull! Im looking forward to another posts focusing on Dragon Rampant :)
really very well done.. great simple explanation.. thank you..

Thanks for the video! Very well done 👍
Thank you
Great video! It made me quickly understand how to build an army in DR. Do you plan to do other video explaining the rules and gameplay?

Ah, it appears I misread that! Thank you for pointing that out. You're right, that does make a very big difference!
@@TheBoardGameTeacher Yup! And just wait and see what it will do for your units that you upgraded with "Venomous" when you get them to the table!
