  • Welcome to Adam’s Gardening Guides.
One of my favourite hardy perennial flowers for long-lasting colour is the Perennial Sunflower Helianthus ‘Lemon Queen’. Blooming successionally through August, September and into October is produces striking golden flowers that bees and hoverflies adore!
And if you have recommendations for flowers you would like me to cover in future videos do mention them in the comments section too.

Adam, thank you for this video. I am trying to find seeds for this plant -- I have found Lemon Queen (Helianthus annuus) but it does not appear to be this perennial you are describing here. The flower has a much larger, denser, darker center, and I suspect it is not perennial. I live in the southern part of the USA, zone 9a. Will you recommend a source where I may purchase these seeds? I enjoyed your video. I am impressed with the number of pollinators on this plant! Thank you.

Hi Debbie. I don't think you'll find seeds of this perennial variety which grows from plants, available at nurseries and garden centres. If you take a look at the RHS website listing for this variety they have details of 67 suppliers. Hope this helps. Well worth growing. It's one f my favourites.
