  • Welcome to Adam’s Gardening Guides.
    Hardy perennials are some of the most generous flowering and hardest working plants in the garden. And being both hardy and perennial they grow back year after year to offer tremendous value too.
    One of my favourite groups are Hardy Geraniums, commonly called Cranesbill.
    I grow several different ones in my garden and it this video I’ll introduce them to you and describe how I care for them through the year.
    And if you have other gardening topics you’d like me to cover in future videos do mention them in the comments section too.
    Thanks for watching, and if you enjoy this video please press the ‘thumbs up’ icon and subscribe to my channel at Adam’s Gardening Guides. Happy Gardening!

    Love geraniums, mine are the spreading wild sort. Yours are behaving very well 😍Very gad you said that the sambucca flowers on 2 year old growth, I didn’t know that, as I have 3 of them, but they are quite small. Thank you for all the videos Adam, they are fabulous.

    Beautiful looking geraniums, They are the bees knees. We have three geranium rozannes and two geranium macrorrhizums growing in the flower beds and they add a lot to garden.

      @@Adams-Gardening-Guides I’m really enjoying all of the videos on your channel if I’m honest. I would personally find some more grow guides like the tomato and strawberry ones you have made super helpful. Cheers 😁

      Yes I’m working on a few at the moment, including a complete Cucumber Growing Guide and one about my raised veg bed. As you’ll appreciate I have to grow everything about film it step-by-step before I can edit it all together, but rest assured they are work in progress. Thanks for watching and for your support.

    How long does the Magnificul flower for Adam ?

    • @Adams-Gardening-Guides
      @Adams-Gardening-Guides  Před 24 dny +1

      You tend to get a main flowering period starting in May to June and then further flushes of flower through July and into August. Do also look out for some of its named varieties like 'Alan Mayes', 'Rosemoor' and 'Blue Blood' which I haven't grown but look interesting.

    thats a beautiful border. can that geranium be deadheaded for moer blooms later on ? thanks

    • @Adams-Gardening-Guides
      @Adams-Gardening-Guides  Před 23 dny +1

      Yes you can keep displays looking tidy by snipping off faded flower stalks and Clematis x magificum and its other named varieties should continue producing further flushes of flower through July and into August.
