It would be worth just graceful boots over ring of endurance for this route, however it looks like you can manage run energy a bit better. It looks like over on the very west side if go to those middle 2 rocks instead of sticking on the outside you can save some ticks of run energy.

I can pick up on most things by just watching you do it but I wouldn't mind a deeper break down on some of these methods, as your 4t gem mining video is really the only one I can find about it. best not to write all tick manipulation off, some of it is quite approachable (such as 2t teaks and 2t swordfish) this looks very chill too, you might as well give it a shot and see you like it!
When do you use the bark and not? Sorry this a super nooby (when it comes to tick manip) question but I'm trying to understand the logic You only bark and click rock when it would move your character?
Yes, because you need to queue an action. Because you were mining, instantly clicking on the rock next to you doesn't have that tick delay. It happens with a lot of skills actually. Try lighting fire quickly. The first one will have an extra animation, but if you immediately start the next action on the xp drop, you won't have that tick delay animation.
If we could do a method like this for gold ore or any ore for that matter, how would we solve the overcrowding, imagine if sailing allowed us to find far off islands with places like the gem mine for other resources and you could build your own bank deposit chest and make it just like this and creat extremely worth while and rewarding ore gathering spots They could even add to it and have falling rocks in the old caves you find and as you work your way round the mining route you have to path to dodge them but theres enough resources so you could path to dodge without losing ticks or xp
If they were going to do it tied to sailing with entirely new areas you discover they could just make those mines instanced. Anything that's prone to overcrowding with just 2 people involved has no reason not to be instanced honestly.
Yup. I initially didn’t think it’d be a big deal to use a dragon pickaxe, but it causes cycle disturbances when it tries to roll a gem in 2 ticks and fails. Stick to rune pickaxe when doing this particular method.

Not with this method. Black pickaxe only works if bark or knife log is used before every rock.
