Touch the Sky was the first song written for and professionally recorded by Avril. She had a knack for interpreting songs, and with her incredible voice, laying down the tracks quickly and confidently. It was an exciting time for me, my family and fellow musicians involved in the Quinte Spirit CD project. We were one link in a chain of her early development. At my CD release event in Kingston on December 18, 1999 Avril made her first important contact with the music industry.

Ah now this is a real privilege to see and hear Avril’s life before the rest of us ‘met’ her.
I’ve been a rock solid fan since I first heard Complicated on the radio in the UK in 2002.
I bought every album and have seen her perform here (3 times), May 6th this year, the day of the Coronation was the last time… a King and a Princess in one day, she was awesome!
The pictures here show what look like such happy times, clearly she had a lot of good influences around her, and as a lover of her music, I had to just say, thank you for sharing these moments, and for helping her, get to us 👍🏼⭐️

I’ve seen little clips of these performances always wondered why the whole thing was never released.
But I heard the full song. But watching this I’m surprised she’s still to this day not officially released a country song, crazy how she went from this to being a pop punk rock star.
She said ages ago she was doing a country song but never did.
I think she should’ve done one for her self-titled album since that was about nostalgia and she could’ve talked about this time of her life, when promoting it
