Yes, in reality it's a gigantic light bulb floating 30 meters about you.

In SFM, sun is practically non-existent in scenebuilds using blank (black_void) map. We use a volumetric light that directs to the camera to simulate the sun. Colors and the light intensity also require adjustments depending on the weather and time to achieve maximum cinematic effect.

I think the update is that blu has planned to blow reds base/train station by loading a train with explosives and making it a runaway train so the cannot stop it but i think it go to man co instead because of a sign. In the trailer at the start you see blu open a map if you pause you see a trail leading from a snowy mountain thus blu base then a trail to some buildings which is red base when close up of the map in the top up right corner it says train of doom like so everyone can see

This is a customized map he used custom assets to build. It's one of those maps that are just for one or two scenes, unless it's that important of a scene.

It is made, well being made by a program called Source Film Maker. This is a program made by valve that it allows you to animate characters from their games and also any other custom models. If you want to know more just type it in on google or simply look it up on youtube. Watch the content that has been made or just go onto valves youtube channel called source filmmaker and learn from there. Hopefully that covered your question. Good Day xD
