“Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes” is the latest entry in the modern Planet of the Apes franchise, occurring nearly 300 years after the death of Caesar in “War for the Planet of the Apes.” As Noa begins to question the superiority of apes over the humans, he will soon begin to discover more about the history of his kind and their relationship to humanity. Jessica Clemons breaks down this film scene-by-scene to point out all the Easter Eggs and missable details that connect this film to the Planet of the Apes franchise, including the original 1968 release!

Also I'm pretty sure in the upcoming movies they going to go in depth of what happened to ceasers lineage as noa will bring other tribe apes together. In apes a sign of submission is looking down and looking directly in the eyes is a challenge. So when the villainous apes look their victims in the eyes it’s basically them saying they are in charge to varying degrees. In Koba’s case it’s more direct as he is turning against his leader but in the case in this movie it’s more a leader of one troop exerting his dominance over the leader of another. I love how subtle things like this are included in the apes actions and body language.

The rebooted franchise doesn't directly link to the 1968 movie but pays homage to it and the novel its based on so yes all those things will be revisited but won't be a carbon copy of the 1968 movie.

I get what you're saying, but in a way, it's true. This is the 4th installment of POTA "Cesar's story trilogy". The OG POTA had its own trilogy and would have had a different 4th installment if it went down that plot.
