  • 23 Card PSA Reveal from the 1950s!
I share the grades, discuss the cards and tidbits about the card and/or player. Hopefully, I'll entertain you and even provide some facts you may not have known or forgotten. I dig fairly deep into these cards with more than just basic info.
If you enjoy the extra comments, facts, etc. check out this video. I show off cards from my 1975 collection, but share info and commentary from MVPs all the way back to 1951. Heavy Vintage flavor in this video!

Thank you, I'm humbled. Watch the previous videos when you have time and feel free to heap such praise anytime. Ha ha.
But in all seriousness, to me it's about the stories as much as anything, and the cards just help tell those stories. I'll do my best to keep it coming even when there are no grades to reveal.

Awesome cards! Congrats on the grades! Mid to low grade vintage with nice eye appeal is right up my alley!
Bummer about the 58 All Star Musial. Maybe it had been in a screw down holder at one time. Years ago we thought they were the best way to protect cards but over time we found out that they can flatten the cards and sometimes will cause the altered designation from the grading companies.

Who knows... it was my buddy's card and a FB purchase from a trusted seller. But no lineage of ownership beyond that, so to speak. I had a '73 Reggie come back the same. Bought several cards from the same seller. All others graded. You never know!

Hi Chris. My brother played against the Indianapolis Clowns back in 1985 at Atherton High School in Louisville, KY. I actually have a newspaper clipping of the story about the game and a photo of Dave Clark, the player with polio, using crutches. I have a extra copy of the article if you would like one.

Hey, first of all, thanks for watching all the way to the end! Hope you enjoyed it.
I'd love to see the article. Is it something you could scan and send to me? I don't necessarily need a hard copy if you can get a good scan. I'd love to read it. My memory of playing them is pretty scattered.

Very cool stories, Chris, and I enjoyed the reveal as well. I never knew some of those specifics about Musial and Spahn, thanks for those stats. I haven't been able to find any Chuck Connors MLB cards/photos or memorabilia, does he actually have anything playing days? I believe he has a minor league card which I do look for from time to time. Remember him from a movie that scared the crap out of me as a kid called "Tourist Trap" with creepy moaning mannequins haha. Still love it! I'd see him in reruns of westerns after that once in a while also. I'm a fan of his but never realized he played ball until 10-15 years ago. Cool video!

Thank you and I'm glad you enjoyed it. The only playing days card I could find on Connors is a 1952 Mother's Cookies, card #4. I had never seen it before. I didn't know much about him until a buddy pointed out his Pacific Legends card.
