She was the best Star Trek captain. Picard will always be my favourite, but objectively, from the point of view of how a captain should act, bravery and leadership - she was THE best.
She was def. the most savage. But I think it always comes down to with whom you grew up, because an argument can be made that every captain was the best, especially Ben Sisko. Picard was of course the most iconic for a whole generation, while Kirk is probably the one you cite when you see somebody dressing up as astronaut for Halloween
@@der.SchtefanI agree. She’s the one I grew up with and she’s my favorite. I live VOY so much and Kate is immaculate. Also I can’t believe we both watched this on the same day
@@der.Schtefan came to the comments to find the shitsko sycophants. found one. "wow that was hard" bro your captain wasn't a captain and now he's a corpse. QQ more over your shows horrid ratings
Everything that they were for you, is what you were for me in my youth Rosie. I used to set our VCR to start recording your show every day because i only got home from school half way through it. so i would watch the second half live and then re-watch the entire thing from my cassette. You were such a shining beacon of positivity every day, I wouldn't be who i am now if i didn't grow up watching you in everything you did.
Kate Mulgrew is still a beautiful woman even at sixty-six years old. I think that she is more beautiful than Meryl Streep. The reason why I think that is that Kate Mulgrew is being herself and letting herself age with grace and dignity. I don't know if you all agree with me but that is my opinion.
She (ROD) really is a great interviewer. Her enthusiasm to carry a lighthearted piece like this is so genuine. And then later in her career (like the later chapter of her show on OWN) her conduct of more serious interviews was impressive (she was like Larry King but less fluffy, more substance).
This segment includes a tribute to John Gabriel 2:53, who passed earlier this month (June 21, 2021). It's hard to believe he was 91 years old. May his memory be a blessing.
Nice interview. She was great on on Dallas and later Voyager. I watched Ryan’s Hope more after she had left but have seen all her episodes since they aired on SoapNet. The only error is when said she started Ryan’s Hope when she was 18. She was 20 in 1975. I guess she was shaving off a few years. I didn’t think she wasn’t that young. Now, Michael Levin was a lot older. He was 43 when the show started. She was so mature that it never occurred to me of their age difference. They were a great pairing on a great show.
...and then comes orange is the new black and a whole new audience is introduced to this underrated lady
RED?! I had no idea that was her!
@@MikeSings82 yep
Exactly my thought. A real lady. I love Kate!
She was such a fun interviewer, and SO knowledgeable.
I agree with Rosie!!! I LOVE EVERYTHING KATE DOES BECAUSE ITS KATE!!

She made some very reckless decisions but it made the show more entertaining. Also they were stranded and didnt have many options.

She is certainly a natively beautiful woman. Extraordinarily attractive.

Her respect for Geneviève Bujold is so lovely. Unlike some fans of Star Trek who criticized her work by watching parts of her pilots.
She is so beautiful here.

I love this interview so much!
I love you so much Rosie I always made it home from school to watch your show!
I am convinced that Katherine Hepburn is her grandmother and no one can tell me differently. 😉
A striking resemblance. Physical and otherwise.
I think her resemblance to Colleen Dewhurst is overwhelming. They could definitely be mother/daughter.
I think this is simply Kate Hep with a wig.
I ❤️ both Kate Mulgrew and Ro. Grew up watching them. They were a big part of my childhood. Thank you, Ro, for posting these wonderful interviews!

"absolutely the quintessence of mediocrity" - lol, she's so well spoken in these interviews, love her!
Love Kate. Thanks.
Good interview :)
Love to see mate on s2 of Picard!!
glad that Kate mentioned Mrs Columbo
Kate Hep looks so young in this interview!
Love Kate

#RIP Nancy 🙏❤️
For Tootsie Wootsie Rosie O'Donnell I Don't Wanna Be Told To Grow Up From Simple Plan
I LOVE STAR TREK TOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!! and Kate
Nancy was such a fun surprise! She was always so beautiful, and she died far, far too young 😢
I like Rosie's makeup and her jacket.
The guy who took off after Mulgrew waved "hello" to him missed out on the opportunity of a lifetime.
Nice....
Why they never got her to play kate hepburn ill never understood
She played Kate Hepburn in a one woman show for a long time. Even recorded an audio performance of it
@@MissLizaMay Tea at 5 was the name, correct?
Thanks guys, must look that up
I’m glad we finally got to see Susan Sarandon as Bette Davis.
In Tea at Five on Stage they did
They don't mention her Murder, She Wrote episode!
Kate looks like Katharine Hepburn's daughter..if she had one! 💛
Wow i love this host... shes a love bug as Lil B the BasedGod would say..
The addition of Deilia, Ilene Kristen, prolly would have killed Rosie!
That poor boy looks momma raised
