Pentalobes are also used for Elliot Brown watches - just the strap fixing.
Which brand is better for the pentalobe screwdrivers??? To last longer
Where do you get them
What size do you need
Thank you I forgot the name of this screw driver now I can ask my dad to go to auto shops or any store so he can buy me one so I can finally fix my iPhone 5
What screwdriver u use for the 2 screws down for iphone 5?
I find the free type/smallest handle screw driver needs more torque to tighten.
i usually wrap a huge amount of electrical tape or build it up with masking tape or rope to gain more mechanical advantage, similar to a stubby screwdriver. the wider the handle, the more torque you gain at the smaller end
not sure if I need the wiha p1 or p2 for iphone repairs. so confusing. even wiha customer service couldn't help. what is the wiha p2 for?
+hostilityy P2 should be correct for iPhones. From wikipedia:
Pentalobe sizes P2, TS1, PL10.8 mm iPhone 4, 4S, 5, 5C, 5S, 6, 6 Plus
+Go Cell Phone Repair but you're using p1 in this video. So they're the same? I think the difference between both is so small that both work but p2 may be a more precise fit. Like .01mm difference between p1 and p2.
+hostilityy Probably. The majority of mine are designated as .8 so I would look for that as the numbering system is kinda funny with these things.
+Go Cell Phone Repair And then there's the CR72 steel vs CVM steel that wiha uses on the pentalobe bits tips and they're not the same. One has to be more durable for pentalobes this tiny.
+hostilityy I have found that almost all drivers last indefinitely under *normal* use. It's when people use them for removing SIM trays or super screws that they tend to strip. Over tightening will cause this too. I'm sure that you're right about one alloy being superior to another but I imagine there is a trade off somewhere when it comes to strength vs. brittleness. CVM is what most of my tools have and I don't know much about CR72 but if you are really looking for the highest quality possible check out Wera. Expensive but in my opinion the absolute best that money can buy.
All I know is don't get that orange one it fking sucks its called kaisi it strips the screws
the wiha is the only drivers you will see in any robotics manufacturer
I’m so stupid while watching the video I unscrewed the bottom and I realized shit... this isn’t the phone I’m suppose to repair.
