Can you make a video of live mixing best practices for Model mixers, like how to make live PA sound nice AND record at the same time? Admittedly basic stuff. For example, running monitors, setting gain structure, etc.?
I wish Tascam would make this in a 32 or 48 channel version like the DM4800. It would save us about $400K from buying a Rupert Neve 5088!

Would be cool if these digital mixers had the ability to assign different effects per channel as opposed to one effect across the board
they do, except they cost 2-5 grand, presonus and avid being the top dogs

That’s what all the extra channel inserts and 5 auxes are for! The model 16 only had two channels with inserts, and a total of 3 aux sends. Outboard effects and signal processing boxes are cheap these days, so you could patch in a few without it getting too expensive.

My feelings are truly hurt😢… This the 4th board, The Flagship “Mixer” yet not even on the 4th iteration is there a 4 band EQ?… Y not?! This is a mixing board right? …I apologize for being sour, I really wish this board sported that feature.
Still no phase invert either for the channels.
Probably still doesn’t have post eq+compression recordings 😂 I think this is just another gimmick
@@bc.9000 this one does have the ability to add EQ during tracking at least; but compressors are still probably only functional for tracking.
@@bc.9000 both eq and compression can be ‘printed’ to the recorded track, unlike the model 24
Theres going to be a lot of Model 24's on the secondhand market .. wish you'd released this instead of the 24 really annoying everything the 24 should have had and what people complained about

I agree that this is a miss. A few pairs of stereo compressors would have been great to insert across the subgroup busses…
