How to tell when Jerd is stressed
A blessed run. Fortunate how the final few rooms were full of weak enemy compositions and we only got a couple of wizzrobe nightmare rooms. Neat how you can force peahats to land in this with the recorder. I thought that was in the base game and never knew, so I looked it up on the wiki and learned that you can apparently use the recorder, visit a fairy pond, drink a potion, or grab a piece of triforce to heal the sword bubble curse.

Second Quest FTW!
I though about an SNES version of this and got hung up on some items. Since the dark world light world dynamic would be gone, the moon pearl and mirror would need different functions. I am unsure about the mirror. But I imagine just changing the pearl's function entirely. There would be Dark Blocks. Or possibly Dark Panels that could poof Link into a bunny. With the pearl, he'd be immune.
Theres yellow swirly things that chase you and turn you in to a bunny, the pearl can be made to make you immune to them. I think you'd just remove the Mirror from the item pool.
Depends how fancy you want to get. Personally I like the idea that the mirror could serve as a method to change the room to a "dark" world version, changing enemies to potentially harder variants for greater risk/reward. Each time it's used though all enemies respawn in a room so you can't cheese it.
Both the bow and silver arrow are given near the end if you didnât get earlier in the run. Also, the shutter doors will stay closed until you grab them so you canât accidentally walk out the door without them.
Except the Passage remained open for him when he entered the room with the Silver Arrows. There was no Shutter locking him in until he completed the purchase.
Oh wait, you mean there's a fail safe which spawns them in the rooms immediately preceding the Ganon fight and I assume they're given at no cost to avoid soft-locking the player.

In this episode, Jared walks in to *every* enemy.
He kept approaching Tektites from above... It's a bold strategy Cotton.
Watching Jared use the sword without the beam on the blue wizrobes is always impressive to me, only way I can handle those guys is with sword beams or with bombs the only item they are effected by.
Second Quest!!!!
Don't bother with 2nd quest. It's the exact same with the exception of Ropes, Stalfos, and the bubble enemies. I actually think the labelling in the start screen should read "Normal" and "Hard" instead.
The other difficulty changes are more subtle, various adjustments to the algorithms and such to make it more challenging.

This game seems really efficient and enjoyable once you get into the swing of it
And what did we yearn? The actual Bossfights are rooms with tons of Blue Wizrobes.^^

I believe that using the medicine will restore your sword usage.
as will going to a fairy fountain or collecting a triforce piece, I think. but, that's in the original game. I guess FYI for anyone playing the original 2nd quest.

I think it makes sense for the wand fire to be weaker than the candle fire. That way, one item doesn't completely outclass the other. They both have value between higher damage, or longer range.

That and a healing potion too. Are you referring to a regular fairy or just the full fairy heal in the overworld?
@@ignatz20xx The regular fairy that floats around the map sometimes after killing an enemy.
@@tljscrewjob6397 Huh... I never knew that the regular fairies granted sword use. Guess that's not common knowledge seeing that Jared got the fairy at 22:13 and didn't try to use the sword then.

I hope by the end of second quest they allow you to get your full set of items and full 2 racks of hearts
Don't know if you'd even see this, but if you're in a bind, you can use a life potion to get your sword back after getting hit with a red bubble.

You got a bomb from that tektite because "10th enemy has the bomb." ie. You killed 10 enemies in a row without taking damage and the last enemy was killed with a bomb.
Better to get the silver arrows, Jared. Just in case not having them soft locks you in the Ganon fightâŠif he shows up.
The game forces you into an inescapable room WITH the silver arrows, so we would have been forced to get them eventually. Ganon always appears in room 254, by the way.

@@KairuHakubi It didn't happen to Jared because the randomness made him pay for the silver arrows. Had that old man not been there selling it, or if Jared did not buy them, then, yes, what I said would occur.

I enjoyed watching this, but I don't know if I'd watch a second quest run of this in the next few months. The good thing is I can always come back to it later, if you do post up another run.

I am going to do some testing when I get home from work but I believe you should be able to use the Zelda Remastered HD pack with this. I know for sure it can be used with the Randomizer
Probably already said, but the Red Bubbles curse can be reversed with the Water of Life

It's his Money Count. Zelda 1 didn't have Arrows as an actual resource yet, so instead each time you fire the Bow you pay 1 Rupee.

Jared and i do mean thank you today you are my hero today because my mom passed away today and for those who have gone through it know exactly how i feel. as i've said all day today pretty much it's like an out of body experience where your walking and talking yet your not there. it's like you are in a fucking nightmare you want to wake up from and can't. and when she's in your dreams when she's always in your dreams and you wake up and realize the reality of that it's a fucking nightmare man.
anyways, my history of this game in (1989) Jan. she bought this for me for $50.00 honestly she overpaid it since it was used after all.
it was a friend of my brother's none the less. anyways i got my NES well it was mine and his for years but i played it more. anyways, this is the game that made me become a gamer. my mom played this for years and beat it hundreds of times before i ever did in fact it took years for me to actually beat it. though she hadn't played it in years. she really truly adored this as i do. now it really takes on a whole NEW meaning sadly. it's hurting like hell watching it but with humor i think it is helping a little. i'm using humor to ease the pain.
I'm fine moving on to something else if you have other games to play.
