I've farmed all my life and some days just suck but those are the days that build character and make the good days absolutely great and there's no place you'd rather be . Hey, I've watched an Iowa farmer youtuber for the past 4 years named Cole The Cornstar. I'm not real sure how I just found your channel but saw you were from Missouri like me. So I had to do some digging to see how close. You are in Perry. I graduated in Madison, my dad graduated from Paris, and my grandpa was postmaster of Stoutsville, Mo for 30 years and their postal route meet up with the ones in Perry, so you are close. Stoutsville is a sad story how the government took their town away and now it's mostly under water. But that's for another day. Welcome my fellow Missourian!

few years back i seen a large square baler that had a set up that dropped the bales in pairs i bet that would help you guys loads but that is just me looking in from the outside and only seeing what you show on here

Hello Kayla, new machines bring new problems all the time but when you are exhausted and all your energy is gone things get on top of you, keep smiling and enjoy the small things everything else will work itself out. Glad to see you finally have concured your fear of the big square we all knew you could do it just you needed to find out for yourself, time in the seat is the best teacher. I've spent ten years driving round balers here in Australia doing 18,000 to 20,000 bales a year and can feel you pain its not easy, thanks for the great content.

Actually it’s the suspension in the cab - it floats / I don’t know the technical side of it. But I’ll figure it out so I can explain it better - I barely feel anything in here. Ruts and all
i use graphite spray makes the bales slide easy
Did I hear you rite the engine rpm is only 1050 on the big baler, massy tractor? I can't offer you a ride on the fender kayla! Had to move the fenders in on the 4020 to put the loader back on!

Me too!!! She’s definitely added some value to my daily life. Just the small changes from our 1534 model to the New AE15 have been HUGE.

Amen! It is a daily process turning our burdens over to God .
You can plug your baler into the iso plug on the tractor and it will upload and display in the data 5. You plug it in and leave it sit with the key on for ten min or so and it will self load onto the monitor. Then you will not need the gta monitor.

@@ChroniclesofKayla on a iso system the controller (brain) is on the implement and the monitor (GTA) is just a display/interface. Iso is supposed to be universal on ag equipment but doesn't always work 100 percent right but being they are both agco iso they should work correctly.

Go with what works for you. Bale Barons are great, but if they don't pay you back, what you are doing is fine. Coming from someone who used to catch bales and stack wagons behind Thrower balers, from vintage 1960's models to 1980's models. Different shade of Red, but great machines. If accumulator set up works, stick with it. Great video, y'all!

I'm a fairly new subscriber to your channel and was wondering if all the hay, alfalfa, etc, are on your fields or are you custom bailers? Sorry if you have covered that in the past.
No need to be sorry!!! I’ll try to hit on that in the next video!!! But we rent all the fields - selling 80-90% of what we bale.
Been watching you from SEIN for a while now. Just wondering if graphite paint on key slide areas of the bale cart would help get it slicked up. I know it wouldn't be pretty painting areas black but the paint eventually wears off away. I've used it on a lot of stuff.

Ok, I am going to risk showing my ignorance but, what is causing the rhythmic surging of your Massey Ferguson while pulling the large baler? It seems to be in sync with the movement of each new bale as it works its way out the back. Is the large square baler just about the maximum that your size of tractor can handle or would any tractor surge and sway like that when pulling the large baler?
The best way to explain it is for you to Google how a square baler works.
But I’m sure Kayla Will tell you and maybe explain it better than Google I don’t know
It’s simple mechanical forces. There’s a large ram that’s packing the material into the bale chamber. It takes a lot of power to drive that ram. In fact it’s quite impressive that a mid range tractor like that is actually driving a big baler. They normally need a big heavy tractor
How much dose the bales weigh
I have been wondering who would be purchasing straw bales and what would they be using them for??? I don't think it's for bedding cattle. I'm at a loss.
There’s a high need for it around our area - bed cow calf pairs / landscaping businesses - we’re going to actually supply our local feeders Grain with a good amount - - we put straw in our TMR ration for filler - -
when you say 34 plates per bail, what is that? the tightness of the bail?
Flakes per bale - so each time it plunges hay in makes a flake.
Do you think a tractor the size of the Massey could stand up in the long run with a large square baler?
I think so - we talked about it with Shawn, our tractor guy from Massey prior to putting it on there. His main concern was it not being heavy enough- but it would do the job just fine.
Can't you wax those rails on the balier? Like with paraffin?

John Deere tractors are way more reliable than Masey Ferguson. I had new holland Massey Ferguson . John deere works rhe best for me
