It’s really great. I wish the 2009 remake could’ve been something like this, more personal and small scale rather than what basically amounts to just any other sequel except Jason was fast and smart and it wasn’t as goofy as the later movies.

I live in Nj and when I was little My dad asked me if I wanted to where it was filmed (I was a child that loved horror movies) because they had a anniversary camping thing.

This fan film couldnt be better, I love how they go for more of a quality film instead of a jason that kills anything he looks at. Even though we had two kills, the entire movie looked professional with good ass effects, something most fan films don't accomplish. The fight between the hiker and jason was extremely realistic in the sense that he doesn't do dumb shit that other movies do to speed up the kill count. This man could make a really good movie with enough money cause he obviously know what he's doing.

I watched this on youtube, and it managed to get me to hide behind the covers unlike the recent sequels. It's amazing. The fanservice is amazing and only in 3 instances: The callbacks to the kills in the original, the pervy paramedic Axel, and Tommy Jarvis, played by his actual actor. One word for this: Fantastic. 20/10.

Honestly I hope James covers more fanmade movies. Obviously not a lot of them since, not all of them are good, but there's some real diamonds in the rough sometimes
This looks better than any of the actual Friday the 13th films, the effects are better and the tone fits Jason a lot better. The fact they also got the OG Tommy Jarvis to act in this is also really fucking cool and shows how dedicated he and the writer of this are to the F13th franchise. In other words, well fucking done I'll give it a watch later.
My favorite movie is Jason lives just because Tommy Jarvis is a badass in that movie.

My favorite slasher films are all from the 70s and 80s, the effects of the first three F13 movies were fine, after that they just became lazy with their effects for the most part.

And muscles don't like tasers. Like, if you had to fight a tank from Left 4 Dead, it's better to use a taser/shocker than a rocket launcher.

I remember one time as a child , my birthday is on February 13th. Many a time it arrived on a Friday. One specific time when I was around the age of 9-13, I had watched these movies way too often for my age. My birthday arrived one year on a Friday the 13th. I had spent the previous week watching random Friday the 13th films (my parents were unaware of this). I came home from school on the day of my birthday , and nobody was home. I arrived to a note on the table that said "I'll be back". I immediately began crying and I ran outside. I ran down my driveway and out onto the road. I live in a highly forested area , with one straight road that leads to a large lake, similar to the road entering Crystal Lake. It was a very foggy day. I ran out onto the road and looked up and down the road with only fog in my vision. I cried profusely and ran back to my house. 2 minutes later, my mother arrived home. She had left the note saying "I'll be back" because she was gone to the local grocery store. I have never been the same since. LMAO. For real.
Fun Fact: In the comic a survivor of Jason got sent to the hospital and Jason followed her all the way there. That last scene looks like he wasn't going to give up.

For a Friday the 13th fan film I gotta say this was amazingly done with the iconic referenced deaths from the old movies to freakin Thom Matthews who played Tommy Jarvis himself. I’ve also gotta add that the guys who made this film and the ones who made the (2009 Reboot) could definitely (if they work together) make a sequel to the next Friday the 13th film

I actually LOVE Jason’s design in this film. It combines the jacket from the reboot, while looking less shaggy, and the button down from the classic first 4, and gives a nasty unmasked look. If it had the axe mark and the chevrons in the mask, it would be chefs kiss.

So Bryan Forrest was telling a story about this movie, at one point he busts through a set of doors with the machete (I think at 6:43?) and apparently they couldn't use the first take because the sound guy shrieked in terror and then went "oh shit, I'm sorry! I'm so sorry!"

I remember being super into horror around 2016-17 i knew all the facts lore and stuff behind all of these og movies but i never watched all the series. The only full horror series ive watched by then was Scream. So i made an effort to watch all the major ones, fall 2017 and 18. I watched all the Friday the 13ths all The Nightmare on elm streets, Halloweens, Texas Chainsaw Massacres, just got more into horror than ever. Then the 1st ever dead meat video popped into my recommended, it was this. And i instantly subscribed and was hooked on dead meat, i was here just before 1 million subs and im so proud of that. Ever since then ive watched every single dead meat video and i can say this is up there with my favourite channels if not my favourite channel. You probably won't see this, but all i can say is thank you James and Chelsea for the amazing content, i just wanted to come back to this. Thank you so much for the effort.

Something i always respect about James is that he’s never lazy and almost never cuts edges to save time. He could have filmed a video that would work for any movie but instead he films the thing in rhe beginning exactly the same every time except for thw movies name. Respect man.

I love what these new directors are doing with Friday the 13th. This movie, the sequel and the 2009 reboot are my favorite in the entire series
I actually like the suspense factor in this it does well adding an element of anxiety and nervousness that works well. A few more kills would have been great but for an indi fan film this is great work.
