Despite not winning Olympic and World Championship titles, they earned widespread respect and admiration worldwide. In 10 years, people will still remember LCW, LD, Gade, THidayat, Setiawan-Ahsan, Lee Yong Dae, Fu Haifeng. But not Sukamuljo. To this date, no badminton player has shown thumb down to their opponent after winning the match, except Sukamuljo. I don't care about psycho war during the match but after match? Come on man.

@@randyprananta7063 Sukamuljo doesn't need to resort to such action, as there's no reason for him to do so. Furthermore, he expressed his disapproval of his opponent AFTER the match. I watched the match. Even if the Danish player engaged in unsportsmanlike behavior, Sukamuljo should demonstrate maturity, especially AFTER the match. That's what true champion is.
Well, his downfall serves as evidence of his character. Hopefully, he will come back a better player. Best wishes to him.

In my opinion the best of all time but unfortunately ego brought them down. Koo Kien Keat was also probably one of the highest potential players of all time if he had been hard working in training and diet, and not try to showboat all the time. Play hard and these 2 would have been better than even Cai/Fu or Lee YD/Jung JS. Is Sanjaya worthy of legend status, if u ask me, no. Who is then? I'd say Kim Dong Moon and Hendra Setiawan.
