- Welcome to the 5th qualifiers and marble race of the Marbula E project! 12 marbles representing the real Formula E teams will compete with each other on a course with a conveyor belt, to allow multiple laps and even more exciting racing.

I wasn't sure that I was remembering correctly. I thought I imagined that BMW was at the front at any point in the race.

It is very stressful in the states, but seeing that this race is "in" my home city has made my day

It really does. Greg's style works so well for colour commentary, and Jack really brings the excitement for high octane marble racing

@@jacknicholls3163 If you're the real Jack Nicholls let it be said - your commentary for these is superb. I really hope the 6th race can get a reupload so we can hear more of the two of you commentating together, and of course another Season of Marbula E or even Marbula One. This is so much fun to listen to and while I do really enjoy Greg's commentary for Marbula One, he doesn't really have enough enthusiasm in his voice to really sell just how high energy the racing is (even if its just silly marbles - but thats the whole fun of it).
Frankly they're amazing as a team and perhaps even better than either are alone

As it comes towards the end of this amazing series, I seriously want to thank Jelle for all his incredible hard work, Formula E for giving its blessings to the series, the teams for being great sports (Envision Virgin Racing, you rock!) and Jack & Greg for the brilliant commentary.

Im pretty sure the Marbula E races happen when the normal Formula E races would happen. I could be wrong though

Also, I know everyone else in the comments has already mentioned this, but having something around today that's not election/politics related is really nice, since it's all I've been worried about today in the US. I've been rooting for dragon since the beginning, I'm just glad they got points and didn't end up in last
Dragon is always such a slow starter, but every race they creep up in the last couple of laps. If only they can start well in London I think they have a chance to take it!

It seems like the entire US has been on edge about this November 3rd race... may the best marble win!
Jack using the word penultimate means he’s now a complete marble announcer.
He used "provisional" in the first race, but it wasn't until Greg showed up in the second that he used "chicanes". Now, with "penultimate", his marble announcer training is complete.
am i missing something lol, penultimate is just a word...
That last section looks brutal for setting time
i think its what brought down mercedes. i believe they are riding a slightly heavier set up than the rest of the teams and are use to muscling their way through smooth turns, but there wasnt many smooth turns here.

I would assume so. Iowa’s only about 16 hours from New York driving wise, so it’s not that bad. And our Airport in Iowa has flights to New York. So probably, but I can’t say for certain.
Its like "Oh, your from California? Do you know so-and-so?"
I really hope that this continues after the pandemic has ended. In fact, it'd be great to see the tracks set up at the real-life Formula E race venues and held as part of the race festivities themselves.
That's just such a beautiful camera angle where we see the marbles round the corner to enter that stretch with the flaps.
I was so happy Nissan managed to take a position in the upper half, but then proceeded to drop way back after that first mass wall impact. There's definitely trouble with wall recovery. I support you all the same. Go Nissan!
Congratulations to the JMR organizers for putting together a successful race. Awesome job to the commentator's box. They mesh better with every race.
As a Mahindra fan, life is pain, but we actually pulled out a respectable placement considering we started in last.

Been Team Dragon since the first race. It hurts to see them fighting down at 12, but they always get back up.

It's been like almost 3 months since the last race in Marbula E.
It took so long because we and Envision has producing issues. However, they are working on race 6.

I hope it will get another official release - these two commentators are too great a duo to not show that final race they commented on together (and I hope you work with Formula E in the future for more Marbula E with Jack!)

I love the shots that show the marbles rushing towards the camera; it really show how intense the race can really get in a way that overhead shots don't always capture, I think.

this has got to be the best marketing on planet Earth, to get people excited about Marbles racing, the precision commentary/lore, the attention to detail in the stands/tracks, the collabs, sponsoring by Tonight with John Oliver, all over watching non sentient objects racing around a track that can theoretically be constructed by high school student with Lego and sandpit, it's so good... and yes i'm a customer! Keep rolling!

I'm sorry but this might be the best commentary pair since Cometti and McAvaney. They work so well together and really bring extra excitement to the sport. Pumped for London, Porsche will bring it home.
Another brilliant race! and not only lead changes but overall leader changes this late in the M-E series - Wow! I know almost nothing about car racing of any kind, but I'm learning a little of the lingo from this series, LOL. It's amazing how Jelle & team design these tracks so that they represent some aspect of the real-world Formula 1 races in each city - - this attention to detail is one of the many things we all love about JMR. Bravo!!!

Here is very much looking forward to the next season of Marbula E. This is by far the most fun of the series you are hosting. Can't wait for the big manufacturers battling it out for the championship again.
Another marblesport related question: Have you ever considered hosting an edurance racing event? It doesn't have to be 24 hours right away but "Le Marb" has a certain ring to it. Sure, it requires an unusually long track, more competitors and driver changes.
The change when Red Eye takes over from Yellow Eye for the 1st time will be spectacular.

A bit disappointed to see Mercedes choke like this. Have been rooting for them from the beginning- there's a Mercedes factory in my hometown, and a lot of people I know work there. Hopefully they can pick it up in London and take home the trophy.
Loved the commentary in this one, Greg and Jack have great chemistry and I would love to see them commentate together again...maybe this season of Marbula One? Or even the next Marble League? =O
The course design here is phenomenal - loved the lead changes on those final corners!
I know I'm extremely late to the party, but this was so enjoyable to watch! (I watched all six.) The teams, the opening, Jack Nicholls, all lend authenticity to the series, while Greg Woods makes it Jelle's and ONLY Jelle's. Maybe with the popularity of this first series, we'll see more teams want to join. (Better get a new starting block, though.)
