Great video and thanks! I was at a dealership and they were saying 1) i can't install this myself because it's connected to the VIN and 2) they'd do it for $1000. Can you confirm replacement of the head unit isn't something they have to do there?

Thanks! So I can’t find any videos on how to remove stuck CDs from a 2010 Prius 4-disc changer. Dealer says I need a new radio for $2500 (LOL). So I’d like to get my discs back myself, and then cruise on Bluetooth/ aux until I decide on an aftermarket unit. Help?

Thanks for the video. I have one question; my usb run to center console and I'm wonder whether I need (Metra AX-TOYUSB) adapter or whether I can just connect the stereo (which has usb connector) to existing wire that i already coming from the usb in the console.
An adapter would make things easier. I also used the hrto2 and the ken2 to avoid cutting wires. The maestro RR also has extra features, a little better than the SW.

I have a 2014 Prius. Toyota is telling me the radio is fine and that i need all this system work costing 3,800. That said when the radio was in the touch screen didn't work. I would press system the iPod/iPhone that was connecting by usb and it would play. What would cause this? Im looking to get the music part, back up camera and blutooth working. The GPS part i can live without

Sounds like the hybrid battery is going bad you should test it
the same thing happened to me. you basically have to restart your car by turning it on without holding the brake, then hold the break to turn it completely on. it resets your car, and my prius ended up completely fine
Hi needing some clarification. Your link to the harness states 1987-2009. Your car seems to be later then 2009. Is this the same harness?

Bro the Toyota Prius has a metric ton of connectors coming off the factory radio. There's a lot of stuff that's not getting hooked up on an aftermarket and a generic one size fits all video on wiring does not cut it for this vehicle. Thanks anyway

I have a 2013 Prius. The radio comes on but no sound. The screen looks okay otherwise. What's the problem? And what do I do to fix it?
Did you figure it out? I have the same problem. I checked fuses, but no luck there. About to take the head unit out to see if there are any connection issues, after that I'm not sure what else to check.
