Hi there!
My name is Dela and I moved to Ghana from the UK in 2014. I have been living here with my 4 and trying to build a house in Ghana while establishing the lifestyle that we have craved for years.
On this channel, I'll be showcasing what it's like to live in Ghana and be a part of the diaspora, building a house in Ghana, and some relationship talks too.
I hope you'll enjoy this channel. Don't forget to subscribe if you do!

Apologies for the sound everyone. Unfortunately I didn't have any mics. The sound does improve around 6 min so please stick with it. Lapel had some really interesting things to say. Please watch...Forgive me....lol
Ok, in that case, I will. Otherwise your content and work is to be commended. Thank you!
I absolutely love this video! I was really thinking that a lot of the things you are saying happened to me because I’m white so people automatically assume I am a billionaire!😂 my husband was born in Ghana and lived in the states for 30 years. We have been married for 19 years and moved to GHANA permanently over a year and a half ago. I absolutely love it and I as well I’m used to being by myself, so the friendship doesn’t hurt that much. I also have had a hard time even in the states of having women friends because a lot of women are interested in drama or complaining about their husbands which is of no interest nor does it resonate with me. I am a Christian as well. We are well on our way to building our lives here in GHANA. We have a 50 acre farm and are helping others relocate. It is very satisfying to be able to, help someone without cheating them and knowing they can start their lives hearing GHANA without being ripped off of their hard earned money. Keep up the great work both of you. I pray the Lord continues to bless your hands and that everything you do will be blessed beyond measure, definitely GHANA. It is way better than in the states.
All in all go where God has called you and always use your intuition. Thanks again for having me on your channel 😊🙏🏾
Thank you for coming on!!! 🤎
“God is bringing us back home to the Motherland for our protection and prosperity as well.” I loved this line! Couldn’t agree more 👏🏾🙌🏾
Great interview loved the energy. Good old common sense....liked what your guest said about friends...I feel she is a good positive influence, she is intentional speaks her truth, love the openness , transparency. She has sense and talks it too. Good solid advice...❤
🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Thank you so much
I came back and persevered the audio definitely gets better. Thanks D
the audio is poor. it’s muffling
i’ve had to fast forward it because the beginning wasn’t so clear
Keep watching it gets better please 🙏🏾
I totally agree with her sentiment. I've found I'm more cold towards my own fellow Ghanaians as there always feels like there is an alterior motive, or they just think you have a money tree. But I, too, agree I will never move back to London.
Great advice!
Living in the UK, I had been ripped off so many times that I decided to ensure this doesn't happens to anyone because it's the right thing to do so I start my own company building contractor this is on the fantastic experience of building 4 stores in front of my house in Kumasi in 2 weeks.
We got our third project which will be built in from foundation to roofing in 4 weeks.
We build sleek and practical houses.
She peaks alot of sense. You learn a lot from successful or ambitious people. Dead beats just depress you and are full of negativity
6 minute mark the audio improves 🙏🏿✌🏿💯😁
Keep hustling queens……like energy and vibrational frequency finds like energy and frequency. Your folks are out there and you’ll find each other.
Yes, I hope we will. Thank you very much!
6 mins in and it get significantly better stick with it!!!!👌👌
Lol thank you. Working on the mic situation 🙏🏾
She has a good head on her shoulders. Ghana is not an easy country, but it is sweet. The good definitely outweighs the bad. You just have to be patient and tread lightly.
Thanks so much!
@@SheIsLapel You're welcome!
"Everybody has their time, sometimes there is A TIME for something!! " Spot on! NOW is the time to come and build in Africa or at the very least familiarize yourself with the continent and what it has to offer and what suits you, because the time when Africans in the diaspora will coming running 🏃🏾♀️ to Africa, not because of opportunity, but it being a matter of survival, is coming.
Because of the cold-hearted situation, I turn to stay away from friends when I am in Ghana 🇬🇭. People just want you to spend and spend on them and on fun times that they don't spend their money on. And that is why they have the mansions despite being in Ghana 🇬🇭 and we don't.
Hahaha a unique point. Yes, everybody would rather spend yours than their own. In Ghana don't try and impress anybody and it's good to show less than you have at times.
Audio improves at approx 5:35 💜
👊🏾🙏🏾
True. If u r looking basic, they look down on you cos of your appearance. But, if not, they'll overprice you.
Honestly, it's hard to find that balance!😅
@@SheIsLapel Exactly.
Couldn’t listen audio was bad
It gets better 🙏🏾
Sooooo, the question is...... Your guest articulated quite well a list of qualities that a woman from the diaspora should seek in a man from Ghana: he should come with 'the bag,' be financially uplifting, well-educated, and have his own things. Well, those guys exist in numbers here for women in Ghana.
Now, let's reverse the situation....
What should a successful diasporan male be looking for or expecting to find on the dating scene in Ghana, and how realistic is it to find these qualities if he's not seeking a fellow diasporan woman? True male friends are hard to find, but finding a compatible woman is a task and a half.
I think it’s generally difficult from both sides. I think moving to Ghana or Africa can make it even harder.
Realistically, I think you have to find a woman who you feel matches your personality, mindset and current goals, even if she isn’t in the same kind of financial bracket as you. As long as she has the same mindset, or is looking to improve on what she has! and is willing to achieve to progress in life, and not just there to take from a rich man, willing to uplift the guy as well as herself, then that’s probably a good place to start
Is a pandemic going on of this. The funny thing is that women that r not checked out by men abroad for some reason find men in Ghana😭. I saw a video at kotoka of a man +++++ size n the young man going crazy meeting her at the airport🤣. Green card is better than Ghana card. Ghanaian mothers in low deep in their heart want their sons to marry from their country to keep the language alive. GH men get away with a lot with abroad women that they wouldn’t even try with their own Ghanaian women. They even start cooking n doing house chores with them🤣 n we know it’s not their norm
Audio quality gets better around 5:35 mark👌🏽
🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
The guest is my big sister!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😛😛😛😛😛😛🥰🥰🥰🥰😍😍😍😍😝😝😝😝🤗🤩🤩🤗🤗🤗🤗
Hey sis!
Due to the sound quality I found I could not listen to this video
Yeah I’m sorry. It gets better around 5.30 mins if you want to give it another try 😩
Those guys that she wants, ie powerful well connected are usually married.
Not all of them 😄
@@SheIsLapel If so how come Dela has not found Kwame's substitute??
@@dandiablo3809 ??
@@dandiablo3809 I'm trying to understand your comment
🤦🏾♀️@@dandiablo3809thats rude. Have some respect, this is her platform
Sorry to say this Dela, but the audio is very bad, so I couldn't continue to watch 😞
Try from 5.30…please…😂😂😂. It gets better
I was coming to say the same thing
OMG what is going on with your sound? This is the second video where the sound quality is so muffled I had to stop watching. Don’t you proof listen before you upload! your sound has always been on point when you do interviews
Hun audio sounds wierd ..
It gets better
Aww, what a shame, the audio is so terrible Dela! Couldnt hear a word. All muffled. Im just assuming that it was an amazing conversation. What did u do, Dela? 😢😢
😩😩😩. I’m so gutted. I didn’t have mics. Usually it’s ok but today the universe said nope! Sound does improve around 5.30 though
@@moretodela ok. Thanks for responding, I'm going to have to watch it again.
Awww it to unlistenable…I was looking forward to this video all day. Thanks for trying Dela, but I couldn’t listen to it.
Try around 5/6 mins it’s much better 😩😩😩
If this is true how comes you haven’t found one yet Della? You’ve been there for years now. 😂😂
A boyfriend?
The echoing is too much. Ill pass on this one.
If you get to about 5.5 mins it gets better.
What are you doing up at this ungodly hour my dear friend😂
Lol working and listening to an audio book
Ok fair enough. I’m up because I worked really early yesterday then conked out in the evening. Woke again at 1045pm and not been able to sleep since. Off now though. Talk soon. Sweet dreams D 🙏🏾👊🏾❤️
