The most impressive part of this video is how you’re able to walk through the lot wearing a black shirt at noon in one of the worst heat waves in the country. Great video!
Turns out Filipinos have way better taste when it comes to offroad than the US. Most of those trucks actually look usable unlike the pavement princess crap we get here in Houston TX. Really digging those deep 5 spokes on those raptors
The terrain in the Philippines is very unforgiving, with vast tropical rainforest, 4th largest coastline in the World way bigger than the US means lots of sand! Tons of of active volcanoes, frequent landslide due to typhoons, the list goes on. So it makes sense the 4x4 culture has always been to conquer nature.
not sure about the US... But in PH, we really got either really bad urban roads, or just no roads at all. There's a lot of just utilitarian mechanics and car communities here. There's a lot of driving/riding groups that travel the whole country to push/test their vehicles, and just to tour the country.
I'm a Filipino here, and yes I agree to this 😅. We Filipino's live in an environment where rural areas are dominant while some areas are occupied with urban lifestyle
And yes apart from a tiny fraction of tuner cars, we have a sh*t ton of loud motorcycles 😅
@@zaiidtrazo3042 Most of are roads are in pretty good condition, off-road is more of a hobby here than a necessity, you can get anywhere you need to in any car. Some areas of the US have it worse than others, but 95%+ is very well maintained. You have to purposefully go out of the way to need ANY real off-road capability, especially where I'm from (very large urban area). Even in more rural areas, most roads are paved, just usually asphalt or gravel instead of concrete. It's still extremely common to see lifted and widened trucks with like 30" rims, and knobby low-profile 'mud tires', and all of the LED underglow. Some of these guys I see spend over $100k for useless trucks that LOOK off-road, 100% paved roads.
There's also a lot of trails and campsites you can go to. We are part of an offroading club, and we go to trails and campsites a few times a month, sometimes weekly. There's also a lot variety: mud, sand, rough roads, jungle trails, boulder crawls, river crossings, all within a few hours from metro manila. There's a lot of places to go to and a lot of stuff to do for offroaders and overlanders in the Philippines, it's a very worthwhile hobby to get into if you live here.
chad is doing a lot for the car scene in thailand and asia..one always learn something when you watch this chanel..good job dude.keep on truckin💪💪😎
Thanks for watching the vids 🙏🏻
I see some people in the comments questioning how Filipinos can afford these type of vehicles. They say things like "Filipinos earn a very small amount everyday so where are they getting the money from?". The keyword here is the population. The Philippines is currently at 118,000,000. 20% to 25% are considered poor by the government but recently there's a survey that said the Filipinos who considers themselves poor are at 45%. That's a lot but don't forget that it's not "everybody". There are still millions of people in the Philippines who are earning much better like the doctors, lawyers, landowners, business owners, people who works in the tech industries like the computer engineers, people who works in the local entertainment industry like the filmmakers and celebrities, even the local content creators like CZcamsrs and TikTokers, etc.
u forgot the politicians ;)
The statement that most Filipinos are poor is just a fact any way you try to dissect it. You can put it on a graph,a pie chart, or just simple numbers and it's still a fact.
@@truss6282 It's because of overpopulation, majority of people in the Philippines are not needed and are not supported by its infrastructure and resources so they are left with scraps. It's unfortunate but that's how it is
@@truss6282 How does that change the fact that there are still MILLIONS of Filipinos who aren't poor though?
@@truss6282 I'm telling the truth here. Assuming that EVERYBODY IS POOR just because a country is considered poorer than it's neighbors is illogical. How many cars do you see in the video? 100? 200? even if there's 1,000 cars in there, that's still not a lot. But there are so many people in the comments questioning how a Filipino can afford something like that when realistically speaking based on the population itself, there's nothing shocking about it. The viewers who are like you are just assuming that the average Filipino earning the average minimum wage is the one who owns of those cars when in reality, the Filipinos who owns those cars are in the minority because they are earning a lot of money. Way more money than the average Filipino guy and Filipino girl working in the malls for 8 hours. So even if you say 90% are poor and living in the slum areas. There's still that 10% who are living large and that's about 11,800,000 out of the 118,000,000 population in the Philippines. That's still a lot of rich people in one country. If you compare that percentage in European countries where the population is only about 10,000,000 or less then the Philippines has more rich people just because of the population. Do you get that?
From CB Media to CeBu Media. Welcome to Cebu Philippines Chad.❤
Sir, you KNOW how to end a video! 😍💥👀
Lived in Philippines for 3 years and love the carscene there. We had a C5 Corvette with 24000km on it and a Strada overland build. I loved the mini van scene back then with Nissan Cube and Toyota Bb`s. Today its Suzukis ... I agree it fun to see something diffrent. Not just Skylines and Supras. Thanks for sharing this with us Chad!!
Super cool show and some really sweet girls too. I'm diggin those little vans, the jeepneys and the off road trucks. I don't think I have ever seen a bigger mobile speaker setup EVER that was insane.
Thanks for being in PH, maybe not the best food but the most friendly people!
New host is good host!
I always say I love it when you geek out on new things you see. And how you interact with some of the owners. So good.
they seem to like their models chunky over there!
We don't like skeletons or models who looks like they haven't hit puberty yet. Yes, we prefer those type of models.
I live in Cebu but I missed the show 😢 Made me homesick for my beloved Challenger that I had to sell before retiring here. Love the music!
I love PI! I’ve been there twice and want to return someday.
Thank you for everything you do Chad, you are my hot rod tv!
Amen to that! Such a good channel 🤟🏼
Thank you the support dude!
Nissan Skyline never did anything for me personally. The micro vans were more impressive to me! I would rather have one of trucks than a skyline ! Skylines were not popular until the Fast and Furious movies!
Worth the wait. Chad, this is bomb content. Enjoy your time in the PI!
Great show Chad, I still appreciate an outrageous audio build and Cebu delivered!
In America, most states banned this kei truck on the road due to safety reasons. For me, it's a good and bad cuz I don't want these underrated gem price skyrocketed because of the hype if it wasn't get banned but then nobody would love and appreciate this culture.
I've imported a few to Alabama and sell them
@@dosstheboss100 You know what Chad said, import duty tax around this area is double or triple the price a.k.a expensive. Ain't no way I gonna buy a truck that has the same price as my house if the hype's hit.
But when I think it back that's what make SEA car culture different on which is a good thing. They made uninteresting car interesting.
This was one of the most enjoyable videos you have made to date. Love it, Love your enthusiasm. It was just fun to watch.
The little vans are incredible. Thanks for spending time on that.
Chad, thank you for bringing us to the Philippines and showing us their car scene through your lens. Thanks for all your hardwork. It’s never a boring episode on your channel. Khor Pun Mak Krup 🙏🤙😉
One of your best videos, the remix ending was awesome WHAT A CHANGE UP🤘
Damn I need to visit Cebu! Lots of rad whips. Surprised not as many Jeepneys like your other video there. Chad gets the girl again!
Cebu has not alot of OTJ scene so that's why
@@powergray8682 Makes sense, but it seems like a pretty big show, and I’ve driven across several states for shows so figured they’d get trailered/driven in from around the area, not just locally. The again, I’m guessing it’s not as easy as just driving there.
@@Low_JoeTagaytay and Cebu are very far from each other... B2B carshow go around in different cities here in the Philippines to host carshows and they do it every year so there's no point to trailer or ship your car to a different city just to show but some do especially the richer ones and yes it would be hard to trailer your car to different places since we are in different islands it would be better to ship it in a container
@@powergray8682 Interesting. Yeah all the islands is what I meant where you just can’t drive. One day I’ll get there to see for myself. Long overdue.
Yes I was disappointed in the lack of Jeepneys there but hopefully I’ll have some Jeepney content coming soon.
Sick Chad bro. Damn man they just keep coming and coming. 💯👏🏾
🔴 Brembo Girl wow! 👀 Stunning & the way she put down the mod & struck a pose, damn she's good - a professional right there. You timed the music just perfect too.. Man the fitment on that truck was sick af! I noticed that right away. I love the stance, the flush look & those yellow wheels. That mustang build we caught a glimspe of was sick too. I like the trance house music you put on at the end.
I LOVE the content from the Philippines. My wife is Filipina and we plan to have a retirement home there possibly in the next decade or so. glad to see they still have car culture. its entirely dead here in the US. new cars are just appliances
Yeah I really like the overlanding 4x4 stuff and mini trucks, keep up the good work.
Chad, would love to see how you fit into the small vans and trucks. We need a demo. Great video.
Another awesome video bro 🎉love ya work Chad ❤
Twas great bumping into you Chad!
What a great video! 🔥🔥
The last part was the BEST!
Excellent!
You definitely need to visit Angie King 👑. She is THE authority in Philippine Car Culture. You WILL regret missing her “collection” of RWB’s, Ferrari’s, 13B’s etc. probably the top collection for JDM/RWB for 1-person in the island. Everything knows ANGIE…..don’t miss out or you WILL be coming back to see her……you’re welcome 🙏 ❤😂😊
New vlog assistant at the end is a welcome addition to the CB team...555
great content chad keep it up
Great video, Chad. Thanks for showing us around.
What a car show it’s so much variety
And who doesn’t like a bit of Asian techno music 😂😂🤪
👍👍👍another wonderful show
Yeah that yellow Suzuki man and that stereo system in that green one holy cow good work
We just love pickups, offroads, suvs because it's a masculine thing in the Philippines. Small cars like hatch, compact sedans we leave those to company cars and office workers
yeah most filipinos are insecure 😁 they want to go big like americans
Good stuff. I like the weird stuff too. You should do some more shop tours in that area. Always cool to see the shops and what they are building.
cars all look amazing.. love the mini-minivans! i wish those were in the states.
and the classic pretty girls is the cherry on top..
I'm even more excited to see some local events, I. Moving there next month.
Chad, keep living the dream. I love what you do. I know what I’ll be doing in my next lifetime. Cheers
I love the dedication here cause the weather in the Philippines is really frickin hot. I love the way you presented this show
Another great video from Chad……im sooooooo jealous 😅
Excellent VLOG mate!
Suggestion: post 2+ months in advance your show itinerary!
I've come to the Philippines from Thailand and i love the Suzuki multi cab , tiny 4 wheel drive , coolest thing around
westport wa.state usa here. thanking you like the others for your show
Awesome Chad 👌
Awesome video bro from Apple valley California
Pucha selos! Hahahaha... Thanks for featuring the PH, Chad specially Cebu!
I just noticed that this is in Mactan airport in Cebu. Hope to see you around cebu.
I love it.Epic Video.Beautiful Land.
Cool
Cool location for this event. Would love to see a drag racing video in Phillipines
That Van with the Jimny front looks great.
"Fallout" version VW micro van. Haha. Nice! 💪🙂👍
Chad in Cebu! Great to see you here and again a wonderful walk around! You need to show more girls 😁
always the best content
4:20 is it the mclaren volcano orange?
Cool builds❤❤
I dig the mini vans, but wonder how they ride? Maybe a wide body kit on one so you wouldn't feel like it would tip over while turning, along with a K20 engine swap! Awesome work, can't wait for the next one!👍✌️👌😎
I have a good life and it makes me want to move to the Philippines... Good time...!
As a filipino car guy it is true that pickups and suvs like hilux, rangers or fortuners are popular due to road conditions, and yes i confirm we love civics since its cheap and it is often to see an old civic tuned in the road
HEY CB, was looking at going to Philippines in july/August and was wondering if theres any motor shows on at around that time, would love to go look, they seem awesome, cheers from Australia
What's up Chad! Jim here from Melbourne Australia. Your content is awesome man! After checking out a lot of your videos, I decided to subscribe. As a car guy like everyone else on here, I, too, zone into what you're into. I gotta get my butt over to Thailand and check out those car shows! I own a condo in Cebu Philippines, so I try to get over there as much as I can. Anyway, Bro, keep up the awesome content, man!! I hope to catch you up in Thailand soon!
Yeah that's a kei van the vw theme is so cool that's my next import
Can't believe you passed by a Land Rover Defender (17.25 mins) which I'm going to suggest are as rare as rocking horse manure. When I was in Thailand, I only saw one (1) Land Rover. Love the videos, I hope to coincide a trip to Bangkok with one of their crazy car shows. Keep up the good work
My favorite videos are still Chads
Chad, you rock! Most definitely give it to her❤😂. Peace 🤘 ✌️
Chad that blacked out Land cruiser is the new 300 series which replaced the 200.
Maybe something else not mentioned, Filipinos also go all out on their vehicle lights... drive down the highways/roads at night and most trucks will have beautiful array of different lights and even light animations going, it's so great to see
very good video!
People having that truck in America now the Japanese truck yeah those things people say it's fun to drive and I saw some people drifting the little tow truck
lol girl at the end was cute, great video Chad, love my Civics, but I'm gonna buy a Championship White FN2 but not seen one in Australia yet, maybe buy one when I go back UK 🙂
Just doing what ya do another sweet video
I’m glad to meet you bro
remember, here in PH we dont care how you mod your vehicle, the more unique it is the better. there are spots in Cebu where a bunch of car groups gathers for a night drink or just hang out and talk (dunno if they still do been years since i went there 2008-2012), few of them is in the gas stations in the North Reclamation area.
I know I’m just biased because I live south of Manila in the winter by damn I love your Philippines content the most lol do you have car meets there on your events calendar as well if so where do I sign up for it
Cool … Great experience
So the subwoofer scene is still out here we got slamology indianapolis every year which all those transformer speaker wall trucks come out. I usually have something thumping too.
🔥🔥🔥🔥
such a cool culture there its awesome to see
Good videe,!😊
Chad try to search for some underbone motorcycle competition in car shows here in the Philippines
good day cb media i was wondering what is the style of music u used to play during the event in cebu?
Thumbnail in the d first minutes? Respect
Well done indeed!
that was awesome
New land cruiser all day long.
My brother drives a BMW X5 M sport twin turbo at €110k and still says his Land Cruiser is the best vehicle he ever owned.
That yellow S2000 was peachy
Epic!
Excellent Vlog Chad and yes the Philippines is a car crazy country.
Anything goes when it comes to cars here in the Philippines. I once saw a jeep that got converted into a Madmax style war machine 😁.
Chad what’s the price of the Honda EK hatchback’s in Southeast Asia. Maybe something with a k-swap.
😎👍🇺🇲
A pleasure to see the Phils represented so well .
👍
Thank you.
The 8:32 was a Toyota MR2
