This is a valuable backing track. So much space to play around in.
Glad it's helpful.
I love these jams. They take me out of my comfort zone, Blues & rock.
Woke up this morning in the mood for a Jeff Williams backing track.
As I was walkin' 'round Grosvenor Square
Not a chill to the Winter but a nip to the air
From the other direction, she was calling my eye
It could be an illusion, but I might as well try, might as well try
She had rings on her fingers and bells on her shoes
And I knew, without askin', she was into the blues
She wore scarlet begonias tucked into her curls
I knew right away she was not like other girls, other girls
In the thick of the evening, when the dealing got rough
She was too pat to open and too cool to bluff
As I picked up my matches and was closing the door
I had one of those flashes I'd been there before, been there before
Well, I ain't always right, but I've never been wrong
Seldom turns out the way it does in a song
Once in a while, you get shown the light
In the strangest of places if you look at it right
Well, there ain't nothing wrong with the way she moves
Scarlet begonias or a touch of the blues
And there's nothing wrong with the look that's in her eyes
Had to learn the hard way to let her pass by, let her pass by
Wind in the willow's playin' "Tea For Two"
The sky was yellow, and the sun was blue
Strangers stoppin' strangers just to shake their hand
Everybody's playing in the heart of gold band, heart of gold band
Long distance runner, what you standin' there for?
Get up, get out, get out of the door
Your playin' cold music on the barroom floor
Drowned in your laughter and dead to the core
There's a dragon with matches that's loose on the town
Takes a whole pail of water just to cool him down
Fire! Fire on the mountain
Almost ablaze still you don't feel the heat
It takes all you got just to stay on the beat
You say it's a livin', we all gotta eat
But you're here alone, there's no one to compete
If Mercy's a bus'ness, I wish it for you
More than just ashes when your dreams come true
Fire! Fire on the mountain
Long distance runner, what you holdin' out for?
Caught in slow motion in a dash for the door
The flame from your stage has now spread to the floor
You gave all you had. Why you wanna give more?
The more that you give, the more it will take
To the thin line beyond which you really can't fake
Yes Sir
I learned these songs on stage with no guidance whatsoever lol. This is cool man.
As a newer bass player I truly cherish these, thank you sir!
My pleasure! Not sure if you've checked this one out yet - Scarlet Begonias » BASS Backing Track : czcams.com/video/CYYkMN_oE-U/video.html
@@JeffWilliamsGuitar Yess I learned a ton from that video. Thank you! Would love Brown Eyed Women someday :)
@@TreexHugga I'm actually in the middle of redoing that backing track with 2 different versions, fast and slow. I'll make sure to create some bass content with them.
Best dead backing track
Jeff delivers once again!!!! ( now we just need a Help>slip>Franklins 26 minute jam track)!
I keep psyching myself out with that! I get excited for it then think about how difficult it's gonna be and how much time it's gonna take.
@@JeffWilliamsGuitar the bigger the risk, the bigger the reward though ( I know Help > Slip is a much harder composition to do).
@@deadexplorations7439 Haha, you're speaking my language! You might have convinced me to bump it up the list.
Yessssssss bro.......such a good canvas to paint over.....we all grew up listening to/learning from this jam. Your a genius jeff
Thanks Neil!
Wow, is that lush! Thanks again, Jeff! My playing is coming together much faster and much more properly with your work đđŒ
Great to hear!
Jeff, may you please do âDancing in the Streetâ from Cornell â77? Itâs so funky and I love how the band goes from jamming in A to F. Please do that backing track. There arenât any of that version out there.

Thanks man, very Greatful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a great backing track. Thank you!
Thanks and no prob!
This is amazing!!! Thank you!!
This is insanely good for practice Jeff. Having this visual reference is good for the mind and fretboard sense. I make chord charts for my originals in iReal pro for band members or guys that are sitting in. Would be cool to take a step further to discuss the options of modally overlaying solos over the key and chord changes. I use Coda as an analysis tool as well, have never overlaid the scales over, but it's a great idea for remembering the songs I've already written.
Hey thanks a lot for putting this up there brother I just had a ball on my SG hitting the high note baby one of these days Alice nice long version lots of room for jamming it's dizzying the possibilities
New & improved sounds great! Appreciating these backing tracks very much, inspiring me to play after a hiatus ~ would like to hear what you do with 'Lady With a Fan" (:
Thanks!
this is so awesome man thank you so much !
really enjoying all your backing/jam tracks
do you have timestamps of when the verses are in Fire ? I would greatly appreciate it !
thanks again hope this finds you well ! â€ïž
Glad you like them!
Sorry I dropped the ball on putting the verses/choruses in on this track.
cool track
Thanks
This is amazing, thank you Jeff!! Possible to post this with no bass version for a bass backing track??
Thank You for this channel bro!
Unlimited fun. If youâre taking
Requests, can u do a lazy lightning
Supplication backing track? My Personal fav..That would be awesome. But maybe a little tricky.
Great suggestiona!
What key?
What scale and mode?
Best works?
Is this slower than the other one....?
Yeah, the tempo is a little slower and the beat feels like it's pulled back a little. I was referencing Cornell. The first one was just doin' my own thing.
Dude i would need right opposite
Drumless ??????
