Did China have internal strife that knocked off 70% of the Chinese population. Has China built one or more installations in Cuba. Gulf of Mexico maritime traffic passes by Cuba. We have military installations in Florida. China has bought land in the US adjacent to US military installations. Chinese immigrants enter our southern border supposedly to find work. And I"m sure many are here to find work. But why would some start learning how to fire a weapon at shooting ranges.

Although China is problematic for a single nation, it is only problematic to large blocs of nations from a nuclear perspective, and that's not in China's own economic or survival interests. China exceeds at import income... that's its weapon of choice. It is concerned with its own economy. Xi isn't Putin, he's much smarter than xenophobic Putin. Putin concentrates its economy on raw materials snd agriculture, while it ignores manufacturing exports (except weapons) and becoming technologically advanced. China gains more by its modern manufacturing and R&D. 25 years from now RU will be worse off than it is today, while China will be its master. RU is already begging from China in its disaster against smaller Ukraine. China values its trade and it trades with Western nations with billions of customers. Why militarily attack your customers? Conversely, RU with its 137M population and massive landscspe should be wary of technologically advanced China sitting right on its border with 1.4B people looking for land to expand into and resources for its engines of prosperity.
