I had sex with my bf with estee makeup on and it didn't mess up. For real. It didn't stay 100% throughout sex but my face remained pretty well. Lol
my favorite used to be a dior foundation but they changed the formula. I've tried tarte, marc jacobs, clinique, and like so many other foundations I cant even remember lol. Hands down my favorite foundation to make you feel like you naturally have great skin haha. ITS AMAZING! totally worth the 50 dollars

Late to the game on commenting, but I’ve used this foundation for YEARS. I compare it to every foundation I buy, and then I end up returning the other foundation because it’s never comparable. I have oily skin, so I like something that gives me coverage and lasts all day. It’s amazing!
i wonder. sometimes i had flashback with this foundation. love the matte etc but the flashback is crazy. and i really wonder y it is occur sometimes... sigh

I tried it and loved the true color match but unfortunately it didn’t work out for me...upon applying it it formed the weirdest holes on every one of my pores like if my pores were sucking the foundation in and made me look cakey

Fraktur Obsession the only primers I used were the smashbox oil & shine control and the smashbox pore minimizer as those are the only two primers which keep my oils at bay for more than 5 hrs...all other primers fail me miserably as I am way too oily all around

I LOVE THIS FOUNDATION!! My favorite combo lately has been to do a light layer of the Estee Double Wear Nude Water Fresh Foundation all over the skin, then apply a little bit of the regular Double Wear in the t zone and over pigmentation 🙌🏻TRY IT!!
Allie Glines what is the diff between the regular and the Nude Water Fresh? TIA.
Ana Hendricks The Water Fresh is much more of a medium coverage with a super hydrating and more dewy finish! It also lasts a SUPER long time on the skin. I get more oily in the t zone so the regular Double Wear is perfect to layer on top in my opinion since it's a nice Matte finish :)

I wore this foundation New year's Eve 2013 and ended up sleeping over my bff's house without intending to and didn't get to wash my face (I know 😣) and woke up the next morning and her mom asked how I had time to re-do my makeup. Lasted through the night!!

I absolutely love this foundation for when I need my makeup to stay on for a long time. I used this foundation on my cousins wedding day. Her wedding was at the end of August and it was 35 degrees outside. I applied the foundation at 10am and took it off at 3am the next morning and it still looked flawless even after a long sweaty day full of crying and dancing.
I LOVE this foundation. I have combo skin and this never slides off, it stay on all day and its buildable so you can wear it lighter or more full coverage.

This foundation seriously changed my life. I could never find a foundation that was light enough for my super pale skin AND that would cover my rosacea. Since wearing it, I get compliments on my skin all the time and people don't believe me when I tell them I'm wearing makeup. It's just that good! It's been my holy grail foundation for 12 years now and absolutely NOTHING compares to it!

I'm so glad you finally tried this foundation, I have been using it for well over 12 years and I still love it. They also have the light which is just a great but not so full/thick coverage, I love that one and the maximum camouflage for face and body.

When I had really bad acne this was my GO TO foundation. The coverage is amazing and really does stay flawless for so long.
Just a tip for next time, there’s a website where you can put in your shades in foundations you own and tells you what your shade is in another foundation you want, highly recommend it!😄

I have been using double wear for about a year. This is hands down the best foundation for oily skin types, its the only one I can wear all day and not turn into a greasy mess. Love it!
I JUST got this foundation. I was at Ulta and there was someone working in the department with a handheld computer. It is like a temporal thermometer. It MATCHED MY SHADE PERFECTLY. So glad to hear you love this foundation. I bought the concealer in a few shades lighter for a highlighter. I am so much happier with my purchase now. I have never used Estée Lauder foundation. The EL Double Wear Stay in Place is my holy grail since 6 years! Girl, you won‘t get any reaction; it‘s also perfect for acne prone skin, because it’s not pore clogging/non comedogenic. You looked beautiful (as always). xx

DW Light is a lighter formula and in my opinion it gives a lot less coverage but it feels more hydrating. The original formula is for oily/problematic skin and so on drier skin types it can look heavy but the light version works for all skin types, it's can get to a medium to full coverage as well and look flawless literally for 16+ hours. Both are great but it's a matter of preference. The original formula (Stay in place) has more shades though. There are two other formulas one that is 10 times more full coverage than SIP and one between SIP and Light.
The DW light feels so light it’s like you have nothing on! So lightweight, more comfortable and everyday wear! Transfert resistant(I’m a dental hygienist and even when wearing a mask all day it doesn’t come off!!), stays through heat and humidity and looks as good at the end of the day like when you just applied it! I would say it is more of a medium coverage than the DW stay in place, but you can always build it up where you need more or add concealer. I used to have oily problematic skin and the DW light foundation dit not break me out or clog my pores compared the DW original (stay in place). The DW original when wearing often or everyday would break me out. The original feels and looks like you are wearing a mask I find. There is less shade options with the DW light though, but what I do when I’m in between shades is just mixing my winter shade and summer shade together and it’s perfect! Really worth a try! I always get compliments on my skin when wearing this foundation!
I wear this foundation as a nurse who works 8-12 hour shifts and I love how budgeproof it is!! The only thing is that when I wear glasses I have marks on the sides of my nose
Best foundation in my opinion! I try others all the time but always go back to this one. I have a full time job but teach spin at night and it still looks great after I sweat like crazy in class. And I never have skin issues at all wearing this after working out either! Its amazing! Oh and I have even fallen asleep wearing it (bad I know) but it seriously looked good upon awakening.

It really surprises me to see all these negative comments about this foundation. I LOVE it so much, I have oily skin with some dark spots from acne, medium skin tone. It's so good covers so well, stays in place makes my skin look so flawless. I have tried others and I always regret it # 1 forever!

Lala Booboo I have a super oily t-zone but my cheeks and chin are crazy dry. I use the Double Wear on my t-zone and the Elf Flawless Finish Foundation on my cheeks and chin.

Double wear foundation is the best foundation! It's the only foundation that can hold up to my oily skin. It does not break me out and the coverage is amazing!

That Kro Kro Bird try James Charles' trick where he primes his nose with concealer before going in with foundation. It works for him and he is really oily. Goddamn I watch too much youtube.

Double wear is the foundation of my dreams too! I wore this last year at Disney World in the summer and my face stayed put for the entire day it didn’t melt off that’s how I knew this foundation was my holy grail! So glad you loved it too Tati!!
Love this foundation. I find that it looks better as your natural oils come through.
I love this foundation but definitely agree that many shades lean to more yellow undertones. I mix it with the Loreal infallible pro glow foundation and it gives the skin a healthy glow, and even better it doesn't budge! :)
The Este louder double wear is the number 1 selling foundetion in Switzerland, i love it and i use it for years.
The Estee Lauder double wear foundation is great if you like super high coverage, this is not a sheer foundation no matter how little you put on, and it's very matte ... it doesn't look like chalk at all it looks pretty nice but it doesn't look like "skin" and it's drying in my opinion and I have normal to oily skin.. T zone , and I always felt it's too dry. I just thought I would write this comment since I tried to love this foundation with how hyped up it was and the fact that it has no sunscreen and parabens.. or fragrance in it, which is wonderful. The color range is amazing, but it's only for people who want very high coverage, no skin will show through at all and it's very matte dry down. I like more of a satin finish with medium coverage. This foundation can't be sheered out, I tried to mix it with moisturiser and argan oil but if you do that it changed the formula so much on this the foundation falls apart and separates, kinda odd to me since it's worked with other foundations in the past. Hopefully this helps someone, cuz I wish I knew this before I spent so much money on this, while all the reviewers I found said how amazing it is for anyone... xoxo

missjoasia123 I don’t find that to be true at all. I’m 64 & it looks flawless on my very bad skin! I act wish it covered my brown spots a little better because I still have to use concealer on them. However, there are 2 versions of it. A full coverage & a medium coverage. Maybe you tried the full.

After all expensive foundations I’ve tried, I finally came to double wear and I’m never going back! This has literally changed my look - the color i matched to is super natural, my oily skin has no shine all day long, there’s no creasing in the smile lines and since I apply a thin layer it really looks like my natural best skin (only with less pores, yay!) I’m so glad i decided to try it out
This is my ride or die foundation but since I prefer a more natural look I sheer it out with a "more wet than usual" beauty sponge. Loved to see you trying it.
That's a good idea with the sponge, it's too heavy for me, too. Have you tried the Double Wear Light? I haven't, but am guessing the texture is lighter, but was wondering if the finish is the same.
I am dying to try the new Double Wear Light, specially because it has more SPF ( although living in the Netherlands this is actually not thaaaat necessary ). Need to colour match again though since I read the colours do no match the regular Double Wear.

If you want a more natural coverage you can try the perfectionist by ester Lauder, it's the same as double wear just less coverage.

I love this foundation so much! I was using it for ten+ years but I found my skin was breaking out because of it. Now I only use it rarely if I have an all day event or night out. So I think you are probably right that there is something in it! I thought I had bad skin for years until I tried another foundation and found my skin was clearing up. Don’t think I’ve ever found another foundation that made my skin look as good though, or that lasts as long. Xx
Tati, I think the color with your tan looks amazing on camera. Now if you didn’t have a tan you might want to get a lighter shade. By the way what are your favorite tanning products? Can you do a full self tanning routine since summer is on it’s way???

If you have sensitive skin beware! I used to love the finish of this but gave me little bumps on my forehead and lady at the counter said it might be the heavy fragrance so if you’re sensitive to fragrance beware! 💔

This suggestion might help someone with issues similar to mine (i.e. milia bumps and some products make my skin pill up). I found that using a moisturizing oil (like Argan Oil or Maracuja Oil) and a primer (Poreless Primer or Hourglass Veil Mineral) beforehand has allowed me to comfortably wear this full-coverage foundation.
I love double wear. This has been my must haves for years.

I love my make up and I went through about 3 high end foundations before trying the Estée Lauder Double Wear. I think it’s incredible. It’s light weight and genuinely gives me an airbrushed look, plus it works so well with the Kat Von D lock it concealer. I will never use another foundation!
