Yes. I buy so many foundations and yet I keep returning to EL double wear when I really want to get a perfect look! Hard to believe. And the shades are excellent.
I can't wear it with so much moisturiser underneath and so little coverage. I need the full coverage to hide scars. It's my absolute go to

Estee Lauder and Lancome are brilliant with their shade ranges. They set the bar high for other brands.
The shade range is terrible for olive undertones. It’s still my number one foundation.
Oh he must be feeling better - the sass! It’s nice to see EL getting some love. Everyone seems to want to hate on them. I used to wear Double Matte years ago but switched to Double Wear when the former was discontinued. You do have to really work it in or it can sit on top of your pores in a must unattractive way. Two hands are definitely called for 😂That said, it is a real performer and one foundation I will always have on hand.
When you go get a facial, they don’t use one hand, they use two hands. To me it looks like it feels good when you put on products with your two hands. That and aren’t you the professional makeup artist?! I mean come on people, Wayne knows what he is doing. Love you! Thanks for sharing.❤

Love when Sassy Wayne comes out. I have tried to break away from EL, tried high end, drugstore, and all in-between. Nothing seems to work as well for me but for some reason I keep trying new foundations lol. I do like cushion foundations, but they still don't reach the greatness of my trusty Double Wear.
Try the revlon foundation, it’s actually pretty good

I recently bought the newly reformulated Lancôme Tient Idol, if you love Estée Lauder DW you’ll love it! Same coverage and wear but feels lighter on the skin. Love them both!

OK Mr Goss, now I have to tell you. Among all these makeup artists the web is full of, I consider you the best. You have changed my life repeatedly because since I have been following you (10 years now, I think) you have always taught me many things (2 above all: how to do eyeliner and contour). Sometimes I feel like you're reading my mind: last week I started using the Double Wear foundation again and I didn't like it anymore because I thought it was heavy and too dry... but now you've taught me (again) 2 tips that I'll put straight into tomorrow and they will (as always) solve the problem. Now at 65yrs old and after trying a huge assortment of foundations and living in various climates I always return to this excellent classic beauty !
ELDW has not been around since 1975. it may have been their Country Mist in those days.

After so many years of trying many foundations I finally purchased DW.
I was in shock upon application.
I couldn’t tell I had anything on my face! I will never ever purchase anything else!
I go through phases but I always end up back with double wear!

I had a complicated surgery the aftermath of which was torturously painful. I want to tell you how much comfort watching and learning from you brought me. I practiced many of the techniques you taught me and purchased products that worked beautifully too. I often wished you were my son. I would be so proud and honored to have a son like you. We would have so much fun! But the point is thank you for being an integral part of my healing. You’re the bomb!
Estee Lauder Double Wear was my "first love" with foundation in my 20's and I purchased this religiously along with Double Wear Light until the age of about 40. I had acne in my teen years & early 20's and this product gave my complexion an even look while matching my skin tone perfectly. About 7 years ago I started experimenting with the Luxury brands in addition to the Department stores. I 100% believe this formula is a tried and true Holy Grail!! ❤

Estee Lauder Double Wear NEVER FAILS ME. In any type of weather for any long day/night nothing on the market does what this does and I always have back ups! Great Video. PS I am 59 years old. This foundation hands down phenomenal.

I use ELDW for all types of foundation coverage. I will thin it out with facial oil to create satin finish or moisturizer for sheer depending on my mood . Or use straight up for full coverage for special occasions. It is the best and timeless. All the other brands cannot compete

I’ve been wearing Double Wear for over 10 years now and it’s never let me down. I’ve tried other foundations and enjoy seeing what is new, but Estée Lauder truly knew how to formulate a fantastic staple.
It looks natural on you. My go to is Lancome Teinte Miracle. It gives a nice natural finish on my more mature skin. Love the moody background 😊
Nothing compares for me! You can sheer it out, build it up and it is the only thing that holds up with my oily skin.
I also use both hands for skin care, so I'm there with you, Wayne.
I’m actually liking the dark background. I have tried sooo many foundations over the years and then finally tried this and was blown away. Also that blush brush does look sexy! It looks like the perfect size and shape to bring it up to your eye and tie in the look.
This is why you are the only makeup artist/content creator I watch. Thank you so much Wayne for another wonderful video, I loved the tip about using your palm to get a nice application. I love lighter application for foundation and I can’t wait to try this. I love how you always say that “skin should look like skin”, I totally agree that makeup should enhance and not smother.
For me I find it not to be matte but more of a satin finish, which I love
Armani Silk is my go-to. I get compliments all day on my 60 yr old face when I wear it.
It was my go-to and life-saver when my melasma was at its worst. Just moisturiser then a quick application gave me full coverage. Now that my melasma is gone, I still keep it as a stand-by.

Haha, I like "moody and disturbing" so the dark background is perfect! 😊 The Double Wear shade you used was perfect for you. I used to wear DW but havent gone back because I'm afraid it will look dry and enhance texture on my 74 yr old face. 🤷🏼 I'd love to know if people in their 70s still love this EL formula😊

I just turned 70 and bought it for the first time last year, I have dry skin and add just one drop of oil to it and it works on me, I really like it.

I went into nordstroms when I was 13 with a friend. I bought an eyeshadow brush. The woman helping me had the most amazing make up and I asked her what foundation she was wearing. She said ELDW. Her base was perfect. That was 28 years ago! My mom has also worn it my whole life.
I have tried and wasted so much money wanting to try different foundations. I always come back to ED! And I use two hands for my moisturizer and with this foundation I use my fingers and then go over really good with a beauty blender. And it’s perfect. I get so many compliments on my skin. Love the ambiance of the background! Another great video.

The dark background is great because it makes you and what you are doing the focus. I like it better. Double wear is the best for 16 of my years and so is Maybelline Great lash mascara. Best tools in my makeup bag and both so affordable. Are we ever going to see a restock of your foundation? I never got to try it and would love to.
I've been wearing Estee Lauder for years ❣️ I've tried so many other's and I always come back to it! Just bought the powder version which goes well after using the foundation

I have been wearing El DW for over 25years! I do mix in now with EL Futurist as my skin is drier with age. I use CT Magic cream as primer and I wear 2N1 Desert Beige as well! Love the dark background💜🇨🇦
Wayne, as always, you are ever so helpful with teaching us your techniques. I have this foundation because I have very oily skin, and it works well but I can't make it look as flawless, so I will be attempting what you showed us here.

It's still the best . I love it for summer and I do apply this foundation with two hands and I mix it with one small pump of by terry cc serum darkest one and it's just the best.

I love everything about this video. The dark background, the skincare, the makeup, the review, and of course the sass 😂 something about it feels so therapeutic to watch. And yes Estée Lauder is pretty much the only foundation I use. Nothing else beats that formula for me and I’ve gotten away with wearing it from morning to late night events without any creasing or touch ups.
I tried so hard to love EL double wear but at 63 it gives me a “cakey” look.. especially when Im on video.. im probably too heavy handed lol I am currently using EL Futurist Hydra Rescue

Love the dark background…I’m 72, just starting to wear foundation, been trying different ones, not this one yet.
I have dry skin, face has more red now days. Lived during the time sun was great, lol, started using Drmtlgy or Ella MD, they both have color work great. I have always used great moisturizer….watching these videos help me so much
