    I would NOT get married at such a young age (19), and if and when I did marry I would marry someone more emotionally and financially stable. The hardest and most important lesson I learned during my lifetime ( I'm 68) is how to say NO, I don't want to do that or NO I don't want that. Saying YES all the time so as not to hurt someone's feelings or to keep the peace is not healthy.

    Stop fearing failure and be less risk averse.

    Stop putting things off and end up never getting around to doing those things.

I wish that at work I had ignored the BS things they gave us teachers to do, and just focused on my own mental well-being and connecting with students to teach them as well as I could. Learn to separate the must-do's from the shoulds, and ignore the shoulds if they don't further your agenda.

I have gradually challenged myself when it comes to doing the scary and overwhelming things and it has helped some. If you don't have the courage or energy to take big leaps, it is still good to challenge yourself in small ways.

      the next best way is small exposures. have a goal in mind of where you want to be (don't be afraid to think big). then, go towards that goal in small increments.

Move on to something else that you enjoy doing. I retire in a year and have had 3 full careers in my life. All unrelated to each other. They weren’t huge and they didn’t make me rich, but they were exactly what I wanted to be doing at that point in my life. When my wife and I are trying to make decisions on things we use the phrase, “Just jump of the cliff and build your wings on the way down.” So far we’ve made it every time, but you really need to have focus, because you usually don’t have much time.

At least you know, the reason older people say they wish they were less afraid of taking risks is because now they'll never know, taking opportunities is always the way to go, if it doesn't work out it's fine, it's not the end of the world that something doesn't work out.

      @@ryanname2503 🤭🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣, OF COURSE there are consequences! How the hell do you learn without consequences? What you SHOULD do is learn a different approach that won't produce the same results, not give up and say;

      and, "🤤🤤iT eASy tO sAy🤤"
      That's how you remain a failure in life.
      The more "consequences" you face the better you become if you actually go home and think about what to change. It should take you HOURS thinking about how you can do things differently for better results, and even after that you will still fail again next time. What advice I would give my younger self. Be brave about life. Don't let anyone, or any religion make you fear life. Don't waste time. It all passes by too quickly. Live each day as if it were your last. It very well could be. Love, whenever you get the chance. Tell someone each day that you love them. Don't hold grudges or hate. Let go of ANYTHING
    , or ANYONE that hinders who you are. Accept that God made you and HE knows what HE'S done. Take care of yourself. There is NO guarantee that you will live a long, healthy life. Be respectful of the older generation. They've already been through what you could never even perceive. Pay it forward. Anything. Thank God every day FOR HIS LOVE AND PROTECTION IN YOUR LIFE. By the way........I'm 78.

It will be hard to keep making money after 40, and your body will start to decay. You will die in the blink of an eye, and there's nothing that will stop it. " Time is precious, yes it's true.
