I think Mateusz , Martins , Novikof and Tom Stoltman are going to have some major battles, in years to come, once all the established older guys retire, as they are the young team, now.

If Mateusz were to retire tomorrow. I would still talk about him 10 years from today. He is that phenomenal. I am not Polish at all. For a guy that has almost no social media presence, and rarely talks and never trash talks. He has something that is fucking amazing and I don't know what it is either. He has it though.
He's an enigma. In a sport that is awesome for what the athletes do, yet a sport where there is so little recognition. Eddie Hall and Thor had popularity built on social media and being entertaining and entertainment. Martins is a sweetheart in media. Brian Shaw and Zydrunas have records and trophies, literal legacies. Something about Mateusz still makes something in my brain say, "There is something special here and none of us know what it is." He is a freak among freaks. ("freak" can mean a good thing)

Kieliszkowski is so incredible, such a shame for him that the second place haunts him. Gotta get out of the shade of Hafthor.
If you look at the Arnold's, with a moderate deadlift he would have beaten Thor. He won 4 events and was 3rd in bag over bar. Only the elefant bar ruined it for him.
If he gets the deadlift up to an average level, Thor will have huge problems
He's already put Hofthor in the shadow many times. He's only problem is deadlift.
Have to remember how many times Hafthor has stood on the podium without winning. It's a shocking revelation.
@@Thulgore I think this is the reason why Hafthor acted the way he did in 2017. 6x in a row close to winning the title but always missing out by just a few points to Shaw or Z . Then suddenly Eddie Hall comes around 2014 6th, 4th, 3rd and wins in 2017... leaving Thor in 2nd place. Frustration and I think a chunk of Jealousy as well.
@@lunasilvermoon2283 Its not jealousy. He never said Eddie cheated. In his original post he said the integrity of his sport was challenged. He believed the events were tailed towards Eddie, which if you really look into it, there's an argument for it. But everybody should move on, Eddie won, he was a beast that day and deserves it. Time to move on.

The big problem is the fact that Hafthor is now in his prime time and has much more experience. In addition of the 50kgs which Hatfhor has more in body weight it is very diffcult to beat a guy on this worldclass level. I remember the time as Hafthor started in strongman, he was big but not strong. This changed over the years. But now Arnold Classic 2020 has shown us that Hafthor will get more and more in trouble as long Kieliszkowski improves his strength.
