Donati's audition was trash. Obviously no prep. Estepario would've been like lang, really cool techs and power but not the dt feel. It was mangini probably before the audition was even held, imo.

You make this song look so easy, yet it's technically one of the hardest drum tracks I've ever heard from DT. Yet another testament to your mastery!
Bruh, I remember when Cobus was starting the drum cover trend on CZcams years ago and really he was just jamming and making his own fills to the songs. Somewhere along the way, people decided that you HAD to play exactly to the track and that's the only way you'd be good enough to follow. You're a huge breath of fresh air, I don't want to see some nobody be Portnoy, I wanna see how Portnoy helped you become you.

Well I like to differentiate between:
-overplaying in your own cover, which is completely fine because you are to stand out with your instrument in this specific situation plus you are able to embellish the right nuances of the song being able to still keep the heart and musicality behind the song
- and the drummers like CooperDrummer who overplay in such a way that they forget the actual music behind the song and thus basically manage to destroy the flow and musicality behind it almost completely, because they put fills not only where they don't belong, but also the kind of fills that are contrary to every aspect of the song. Of course sometimes this can lead to an interesting kind of art which is also enjoyable, but in the extent with someone like CooperDrummer it is nothing but a demolition of music to the core.

I never imagined that this song can be played in such a timid and simple drumkit. I'm used to Mike P's and Mike M's drumkits which were so extravagant and big. This just shows how good of a drummer you are. Keep 'em coming!
I started watching the video and I thought: “the dance of eternity with one floor tom and nothing else?”. And I was kinda disappointed. Then the guy started with the one handed roll and God from that point I knew I was going to watch something great. Totally nailed it, and it was so much fun, one of the best TDOI covers I’ve seen so far.

Hi Estepario, I have been a touring drummer 20 years ago, playing in front of 1000 up to 5000 audiences, medium sized theatres. First of all you are crazy, never seen someone who would be capable of doing what you are doing here. This is phenomenal: you are bringing the whole drumming skills set up onto a new level. At the same time: it does not always feel as if you are locked with the music. Probably due to not be able to practise enough, but one can hear that you are playing on top of the piece and not 100% in sync with it.

Por el nivel de conocimiento y manejo de la técnica, por saber transmitir y explicar concretamente, con un modo en el que enganchas al que esta viendo y tratando de aprender. Pero por sobre todas las cosas, por la pasión por el instrumento y la música!! Ese grito del final y tirar los palos, no es solo por el desafío de sacar el tema y saber que estas jugandote muchas cosas si se quiere.
