If I only had 9 minutes left to live, i would spend it listening to this!
Bb and Eric Clapton are a true blessing!!
Patrick...your imitation of B.B. in the opening line was perfect...perfect Southern American accent
One of the greatest Bluesman to ever pick up a guitar. A legend!
The greatst musician of the world
Love BB King
BB introduced the bent note when he was 28. What a musician. You guys are great & love your reactions to Freddie & Pink Floyd. My all-time favorites.
Sing it Patrick!🥰👍
BBKing is THE quintessential bluesman, and The Thrill Is Gone is his classic hit.
BB king a true legend this man and this song is Untouchable ...U guys please react to more R&B and blues, and motown ❤
Great song. SRV played alongside him as well😎😁😎
Greatness personified. Stayed the test of time and always will
🐥🇨🇦🐥
Be well
Stay safe
Hugs to all
I love how BB King makes the guitar talk. He has a great song, Lucille, that describes how he named the guitar. It is a ride.
I saw B.B.King.❤
The “Beale Street Blues Boy” … mistah BB King! Such a legend. 🔥 Believe it or not, he didn’t read a lick of music. Completely autodidactic (self-taught). He played by ear and his playing style was actually very mathematical-although he may or may not have known it. Amazing player-like David Gilmour later-his guitar takes you to another place, another stratosphere. Just sooo so good. RIP Blues Boy 🙏🏻
Legendary blues master, B.B. King! He is idolized today by so many. Couldn't see the video, but it was so amazing to hear the different styles of the players. Very special. Nice to see you back guys - thanks for the great reaction!!
Hi Katy, I got two notifications of this reaction and one was blocked, so that would have been the one with the video. So the guys did the reaction without the video, which is a shame but at least we got the reaction! 😊
@@annemaclean6634 Too bad it was blocked! Looking forward to watching it myself. I saw from the comments that one of the players was Jimmie Vaughan (older brother of Stevie Ray) - another amazing Texas musician!
@@Katy_r Hi Katy, I know, it's bit weird, when you can tell the guys are watching the video and we can't see it! I've seen some reactions they've done to Stevie Ray Vaughan songs and they were really good.
Saw. R.King here in Baltimore back in 2000, shit was incredible…gorgeous guitar tone
I've seen BB several times live. Such a gentleman. A sincere and humble man. And watching him play up close is magic.
Now, I have seen BB, Pier 6, Baltimore MD, 1990ish. Sooooo good.
Couldn't see the video! Love BB. He sings the blues but makes me smile.
This is a great song by the amazing BB King, he was an American blues singer-songwriter, guitarist, and record producer. It's a shame you can't show the video but I assume it would be blocked? Other great songs by him are 'Sweet Sixteen', 'Why I Sing The Blues', and 'Everyday I Have the Blues'. I love the blues, one of my favourite blues singers is Muddy Waters with great songs such as 'Hoochie Coochie Man', 'Mannish Boy' and 'Baby Please Don't Go'. Another one of my favourites is of course the song 'The Bluest Blues' with the most fantastic guitar solo by Alvin Lee (with additional solo by George Harrison) which you reacted to for me, guys, and I know you loved it! Thanks for your reaction, guys, always good, take care and keep safe. 😊👍
Yeah man great taste you got
his set with the Stones on the Anniversary edition of Get Your Ya Yas out is amazing....he was much younger and still was quite fiery
The first time I heard this song was on a 9in B&W TV in Pleiku, Viet Nam in 1969. It was used as background music in a anti-drug commercial on military tv. I never heard the entire song until I found it on a jukebox in a club in Denver after I came back. RIP and all respect Mr. BB King.
Hello Boys !!!! Ahhh Mr King made that guitar sing!!!! You guys need to check out Joe Bonamassa he played for BB at 12.... went in tour with him. The remake of this he did to honor him for his career..... So thankful Joe jad his influence.
Classic man!!!!
If you ever get a chance watch SRV and BB. Stevie loved him so
Bros, you'll love his "3 O'Clock Blues", "Every Day I Have the Blues" and "You Know I Love You"!!! B.B. and his guitar 'Lucille' are legendary!
edit- you'd love Robert Cray's "Smoking Gun"!!! An outstanding singer/guitarist up there with BB King and SRV!!
Robert played at Eric Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival and I saw him in concert, August 1988, awesome show!!
B.B. King. One of the greatest blues musicians of all time. Love it!!
This is the song I think of when I hear the word Blues
2 handsome brothers
Great reaction-He was a legend and influenced so many musicians. He was a one of a kind-I've seen him play this a million times and it still gives me chills. Doesn't he make that guitar wail? LOL He really touches the soul.
I saw an interview with Bono from U2 where they were playing at festival. BB King was there U2 wrote a song for him they went up to him and said here are the cords for the song. BB said I don't do cords and laid down a lead riff U2 had to build the song around his lead that blows my mind 😳 he's a legend
The thrill is gone- Stevie rays brother in the mix!
I always love your reactions, you are cool guys, thank you!
Thanks, great reaction. I never heard this live version before and it shows the amazing talent of BB King as well as the other guitarists accompanying him. We need more music like this to stir our souls and not the heartless stuff that passes for music nowadays.
Love it! You should watch him live for sure.
This is way “jazzier” than the way I usually hear him perform it; I think I prefer the way it’s done on the studio version better.
Check out “How Blue Can You Get?”
BB!
Thanks guys, it was a pleasure watching you both just sit in awe watching this amazing footage, I love the way the other guitar legends look up to their hero B.B King because if there was no B.B King Eric Clapton, Robert Cray and Jimmie Vaughan, would not have even learned to play the guitar, it is a lovely story that B.B and Eric became great friends following a meeting in the 1980's.
The pale blue guitar is Eric Clapton! But it's B,B, King does it for me!
Great reaction , guys , you have to see Frank Marino , agora theatre , something coming our Way 💪
B.B. King is such a major blues legend and guitarist. I have seen him a couple of times in concert - he creates a special vibe with his style of playing and voice. The audience adores him. After this I need to chill out with a cocktail and listen to it again.☺If you like the Blues, check out Boz Scaggs "Loan Me a Dime" live video 2010 , (I believe). The original 1969 album track had Duane Allman playing with him. Thanks for reacting to this great B.B. King song guys!!🧡
Hi Jules, that must have been amazing to see BB King in concert, you must have enjoyed it so much. The reaction with the video was blocked, so that's why the guys did the reaction without the video. It's a shame, it would have been good to see the video, but can't be helped. Hope all is well with you, take care now. 😊😊
@@annemaclean6634 Hi Anne, I have seen this video before with Clapton and others - very cool. It is a shame that it was blocked. Hope it is warming up for you!☺
@@Jules-um4yy Hi Jules, yes, it's a lot milder now and hopefully it will stay that way! I think I've seen the video with Clapton as well, on YT. There's something about the blues, isn't there? I've always loved it, and of course it's been a huge influence. Don't know if you saw the 'short' on Jacob's Ridge channel today, they've got a new little goat (so cute!) and they're asking us to name him. As you can imagine, loads have been suggested, I've suggested Scottish names, and because it's St Patrick's Day, a few Irish as well. Hope you get a chance to see it, Jules, all the best. ☘😊
Fire!
A little Taj Mahal would be nice to see you react to.
Should check live version of BB King and Friends all star cast Why I Sing The Blues. May 4 2003 version. Albert King, SRV, Eric Clapton, Billy Ocean, Phil Collins, Gladys Knight, Chaka Khan, Dr John Ettta James. If you have the time watch the whole show BB King and Friends A Blues Session Live it's 56 mins long. Posted Nov 11, 2012 You Tube
His guitars 🎸 name is Lucille .... and she has to be addressed by that name lol ...
This is a GREAT performance. And I love Robert Cray and Eric Clapton being there. But I really think it would be even better to see BB King in his prime. I LOVE this performance and how special the combination is. But BB King, when he was younger, had better vocals and playing. He even said his best guitar performance was all the way back in 1972! If you want a different version of this song, you can watch he and Tracy Chapman singing this together. Spectacular! czcams.com/video/xVxCtt3s_1M/video.html
Loui armstrong beautiful world
Hi guys 👋 I suggest you to check the version of the the thrill is gone BB KING with Eric Clapton in BB KING with Friends 1987..... It's the best one and it's Fire 🔥🔥🔥
U2 and BB collab….. When Love Comes to Town.
Great track, shame we couldn’t see the video but enjoyed it nonetheless.
Brill song brill guitar playing, when you guys have the time do a reaction to jethro tull minstrel in the gallery live in Paris l975.some fantastic guitar playing, but not forgeting an outstanding performance from the man himself Ian Anderson.
Please listen to Loverboy, Lovin every minute of it. Right up your alley
I wish you guys would react to a band called, Ambrosia. Biggest Part of Me and How Much I Feel are 2 banger songs. You really need to react to this band.
Enjoyed your reaction, just stumbled onto your channel. Seems you like the throwback sounds. I saw on another reaction to Queen you said that you don't see talent like there used to be back in the day. If you want to try something different, try the a capella group Home Free. They tend to run on the country and Blues but can do all sorts of genres. A good intro to them is Man of Constant Sorrow but they have tons of other work. A lot of covers of older songs like Crazy, Elvira, When a Man Loves a Woman, Listen to the Music, American Pie and if you like country then try Hillbilly Bone. They are just super talented group and really fun to watch, you forget they don't use instruments.
You Bros should react to Billy Joel Piano Man live!!!
Is this Crossroads Festival? I can't see but I know the feel of this.
You answered my question in the reaction. Eric Clapton created the Crossroads Festival. It is a celebration of all guitarists and it is amazing because they all do this in tribute of each other. I love it. If memory is correct, the festival is every 3 years.
It would be good for your channel if you checked out the festival over the many years it has been going on. :)
Robert Cray is one of the most "underrated" guitarist/vocalist ever!
Sounded great, just wish we could have seen it. :(
Bro's please react to the Beatles song Oh Darlin
Hey Bros please react to the Beatles song Oh Darlin
Check out Fool's Overture by Supertramp, you're gonna love it!
Could you react to Mike and the mechanics, The Living Years, I'm sure you will love it
Best guitar duel Joe Bonamassa & Eric Gale John Henry Please check it out Incredible
SLIPKNOT - DUALITY REACTION!!!!!!!!
I know this sounds random but I noticed that you guys don't do David Bowie music
Loving the reactions. May I suggest Guilty by Barbra Streisand & Barry Gibb or anything Kate Bush.
Hi bros. Please react to "Lionel Messi - World Champion - Movie" by "MagicalMessi"
You'll enjoy it, trust me💚
No video?????
This song was released in 1969. It is a real tragic shame your introduction to this amazing song is this live version from 2010. Sure maybe after you've heard the studio version a few times, then this live version might be cool to hear, but if you've never heard the immaculate studio version that the rest of the World grew up with for the last 50 years, your perspective of this song will be skewed.
My greatest pet peeve is when people introduce people to the live versions of songs first. He was 85 years old here, and he sounds like it. I'm glad this gave you chills and you enjoyed it, but it makes me sad how much more chills and enjoyment you would have gotten from the song the way it was meant to be heard in its perfect state. I guarantee 98% of the people who went to see B.B. King live, heard the recorded version of this song first.
Hey guys.. I just noticed that you haven't done Chris Stapleton in a year?? Please react to "COLD" LIVE AT 2021 CMA AWARDS it is 🔥
BB King died not long after
REACT TO TOOL SONGS!!!!!!!!!
Don't forget Led Zeppelin and absolutely have to listen to Lynyrd Skynyrd, no matter what.
Hi bros. Please react to "Lionel Messi - World Champion - Movie" by "MagicalMessi"
You'll enjoy it, trust me💚
