I’m surprised more harnesses don’t have that “rock climbing’ style loop. It gets my rig really close to me for SRT. Makes accent hands free and all in the legs.
It looks like the rope bridge ends are sewn eyes with a plastic cover. Is this secure? Are you supposed to lock the eye off with a small carabiner? Or should tie off with something like a barrel knot or figure of eight on both sides? If so, isn't that going to significantly shorten the rope bridge? Or is it acceptable to leave the eye open?
Hi Nick, you look the same as my build. What size fits you the best? Do you accept refunds on undamaged harness's if they don't fit properly or feel uncomfortable? I have zero arborist stores in my area.
with the new bridge, can you attach it using the eyelets? one of me colleges just upgraded from the old style and thinks they can attach it through the eyelets instead of having the plastic case on the outside of the D rings.
Both saddles a re a big improvement. personally I opted for the lighter weight feel and sportier implementation of the new Squoia. No doubt the new treemo is the workhorse of the two.
The small one will fit. It's not easy I lubed it up and levered it on. But once it's on i don't plan on taking it off except to flip it in about two years time.
Isn't the non-SRT model also a step-thru despite opening the waist buckle, don't you have to step thru the rope bridge as well? I heard only the SRT model accepts suspenders (chest harness), could you comment on that, thank you.
I personally prefer the Sequoia, Ive been climbing in it since I got, which isn't a lot and I really like it. The one area where i think the treemotion excels is in extreme durability. But fit, gearloops, touch point, hardware, for me the petzl saddle wins those over the s.light. -nick

The rope bridge eyes are finished with a sewn termination and covered with a plastic sleeve.

Will the DMM Small Axis Swivel fit over that rope bridge stitch and plastic piece? If not, will the DMM Large Axis Swivel fit over it? Thanks

You always have to step into a rope bridge harness. The SRT models from Petal are set up for their TOP style chest harnesses.

Hey Nick, I am new to this sport. Is it possible to use the NON-SRT Sequoia for single rope climbing?? What advantage does the SRT hold?
Sure, The SRT version big difference is the central tie in point, but it is definitely not required.
Can you use the srt harness for DRT too?
Yes
Is it ok to climb your carabiner with friction hitch and micro pulley straight to the ropebridge, or do you need to connection ring?
Yup! Either one works!
What do you do with a “belay loop?” I am new to the sport.
It can be sued to tie in as a place with less play than a rope bridge which is helpful for ascent!
