Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it
Well, I started climbing trees in 1950for my night was 2 Under and one over. But then again, I was only 133 pounds I tried or knot in the tagline of the Bosun knot and we had manila rope. It seems like you’re doing a lot of rigging. I started a steeple Jack business in New York, where we hung on a single rope. Then we use Ascenders and descenders. truthfully, I don’t like all of that mechanical stuff. When I started, we used a bowling on the bike for our saddle. I was happy when the nylon saddles came out and a bosuns knot. Good job explaining the new technology. when we did the steeple Jack, I had a three step ascender For my foot, you could use that in the tree when climbing up
Very cool
I love Edelrid. ❤❤❤
I won't the video of this
We wont either.
Thank you, this is great.
You're very welcome!
How is this not a $1000 winner??? This is the most informative and best-presented submission I've seen so far! (Yes, I'm watching these two years after the fact, and no, I haven't seen all of them yet.)
you are not answering my emails.
I dont understand how i get the rope wrapped around the tree once i get the throw line into the tree…
Hi ! Where did you found your top ?
Perfect, thank you!
How do you choose between left and rigth? And using a jumar or knee ascender in the other side
That is komatsu Zenoah technology
Would you possibly have a full tree climbing rope set kit for sell
I’ve tried a bag like that and it just got the rope all twisted
Hi I'm 72. You're pretty climber lady.
ewww, gross
This channel has a wealth of information! I didn’t know that Nick Bonner invented the rope wrench……..
He didnt.
cant wait for more colors
I got one, doesn’t react well to sappy trees at all, have an art which is by far better in all areas
Now they are 23 dollars
The one I have the screwdriver end is very flimsy. It’s bent from what I would consider light use. It’s needs a much heavier blade and to be hardened. I rarely use mine, I really prefer the STIHL scrench with just the heavy driver and 19mm end because I sold all my Husqvarna saws.
My favorite math teacher
Can't wait for mine to come
How timely!!! Bought a magneto yesterday!! Thank you Nick, see you in August!!!!!
The roproropro
Safety gear for a video discussion is excessive
Got a 572xp and 592xp/choice quality/never had a problem.
You called the tending point, the tie in point. I like it though!
This is correct.
You keep referring to the tending point as the tie in point. 😬
You are right!
Great idea. This is actually really cool!
Glad you think so!
If you need this video you shouldn't be climbing trees
Imagine climbing trees without a magneato or roperunner! Wild
Are you sure you don't want to tell people how to put the Rope Runner back together correctly?
How would I wear them with spikes?
Great video!
I am going to do roof work on a steep roof with a 1/2 inch safety rope that I already own connected at the peak. I want to move up and down the roof to do work with both hands free when I get to the roof spot to work on. Will the Notch Glide Rope Glide work for me in case I fall and keep me from sliding off the roof ?
I made one from pvc pipe and 70 psi is way more than needed to send a 16 oz throw ball over 100 feet. Not sure why you would need 150 psi??
PS cost under $40.00
Its definitely cheaper to DIY out of PVC compared to the aluminum.
Purchased one bag a year for 5 years, never recived a sucky bag:)
I could work with Rene. Thanks for the video
You bet
Hi mate just wondering have you used tritech on the art positioner? If so have did you find them together?
Have you used tritech with the art positioner? I have the positioner and am looking to find the perfect rope match for it..
It works fine.
I'd rather have every single one of these and not need them, than not have them and need them 👍
Yes
Girl! Nice Video A release knot is a good idea. With my luck the thro bag would fall in a tree limb crotch. That is why I have 2 back up throw lines for when they inevitably hang up. The second bag on the other end is convenient and saves time also for rerouting ropes. I’m old school and may just have get me one of the square collapsible thro line bags. Does anyone remember the pear shaped rubber thro ball with the lead weight in the center with a 3/16 3 strand twisted Polypropylene You could really get some height with lose old things down in the piney woods of south east Texas. Up to 80 feet throws. Would burn a hole right through your lead throwing finger. Wrap it up with duct tape and continue on. I’m an old school Eucman now Oakman/Eucman cut my teeth in Fresno California In 1977 working power lines in the Kings Canyon National Forrest. No thro line- spurs and a 20’ flip line.
So that’s how they are made 👌, cool.
My issue with this device is the difficulty of adjusting it. No more one handed adjusting under tension. that is the trade off you make when trying to turn your work positioning lanyard into a 2 in 1.
