Stress. I watch your videos to de-stress. Your calm voice let's all my daily turmoil melt away. The soft music in your background makes me feel like everything is going to be ok. And seeing your clean uncluttered home makes me feel uncluttered on the inside. For a few minutes I can let go. Content like yours keeps me going. It gives me a way to feel grounded, to see the light at the end of the tunnel, to imagine when my world can resemble the peace you portray once more. Thank you for your videos. Thank you for your time. Thank you for giving me an outlet where I can let my stress go. Imagine all the people you'll never know you've helped, all the stress you've washed away. You are amazing.

When my cats were just kittens I started brushing and combing them daily, outside. They waited for my car to pull in when I came home from work and we went directly to the shed, where one cat always jumped up on a workbench where I kept an assortment of brushes. The ritual might last a minute or up to ten minutes. Feeling their soft fur and seeing their smiling kitty faces has always been a source of pleasure and relaxation to me. Same with my spaniel dog when I groom her.

I learned this last years to be ok with not doing anything when I feel I need it. I mean I do only the necessary things(not including house chores) like eating, giving food to my bird and opening the windows for sun and fresh air. But for my anxiety there is only one thing that works truly with me:Reading. It's the only activity that stop the thoughts that stress me and takes me some place away until I can handle the issue.

First:thank you for some of the images of Stockholm! I miss it! Second: I hope your mother is healing. Third: I am a therapist and can vouch for all the things you do to feel good and reduce stress. Each one of us is different of course, but the deeper message is that you learn from what doesn't work for you, give yourself breaks and don't try to be someone you are not. So bravo, Benita! I have gone through months of physical therapy for osteoarthritis in my ankle, so my daily walks we curtailed for almost a year. Now, I am back in the saddle... or the walking shoes! Yay! In the meantime, I worked almost daily in my garden even through winter to be outside and be with nature. My garden is thriving and so am I!

Hi Benita. I so look forward to your videos. What helps me the most is have a routine. By this I mean do an much of my daily routine on automatic pilot barring any appointments or other commitments that may get in the way and for the most part, I do keep to my routine. I always thought of myself as a free spirit but as I age, I realize that having a routine keeps me calm and allows for more productive free time. And finally, I stopped drinking (not a big drinker to begin with; just stopped my nightly glass or two of wine) and my sleep is now rock solid. I rarely wake during the night. Not for everyone, I know! Please know that your videos are so appreciated. 🥰

I think I'm the only person I know that lost weight during Covid. I figured if I'm going to have to isolate, I'll have to get regular exercise. So every morning I walked my neighborhood for at least 45 minutes, watched my diet and talked with friends A lot. I found those two years to be very stressful. I started face massage, cleaned closets, treated myself to occasional wine and flowers. Also, I got to know neighbors during those walks (and their dogs). Things are returning to "normal" but the stresses are still there, especially with war in Ukraine. All we can do is take care of ourselves and each other. Help those we can and keep going. I'm optimistic.

I get up at around 6:30-7am. Unfortunately, it is not safe in my city to walk that early so I do some yoga stretches and push ups, have some oatmeal with fruit and do some writing, check my email, etc. I get out for my walk at around 9:30-10am and, like yourself, walk for about an hour. Gyms are open again, but I've grown used to the outdoors and, for now, this is the route I'm taking. I'm 67 and retired so I can make my schedule my own. My boyfriend has an eBay business and I help him with that or we spend a leisurely day exploring the city and cooking together. Sleep is a challenge; I have to learn to quiet my mind. Thank you so much Benita for your wonderful channel.

Years ago I was a ski bum and the restaurant dorm where I lived had only one window which was blocked by snow all winter. If nobody woke me up in the morning getting ready for work, I would sleep for 10 hours. This was a revelation to me, to discover that my need for sleep was at least 2 hours longer than most people's. Now, during Covid, I've had the luxury of sleeping without an alarm almost every night. Like you Benita, if I have a rough night, it's such a blessing to know that I can just sleep as late as I need to, and make sure I get enough sleep. I really am useless without it - grumpy, forgetful, horrible to other people.

I also get too involved in doing too many tasks almost at once - then off course the frustration factor pops up😬 and that’s never good!! My cat and I are watching today's video, Benita 😸 Surprisingly, my cat meowed (sort of hello) every time she saw your cat 😸
Bonding time with my cat while watching your videos is one of my self-care habits this 2022 😻

Hope your Mother is on the mend and wishing her a speedy recovery. I live in a great neighborhood with lit pathways which I love because I like to walk at night instead of the morning. I have been an insomniac since middle school and have had to adjust my night routine many times. I have found that walking at night and taking a hot shower helps me relax and I am able to fall asleep much of the time.

Thank you! Walking at night sounds awesome too, I’m just too tired at night😅

I also listen to an audiobook when I wake during the night; otherwise , my mind will spin in a dozen directions. I really should start walking in the mornings. I work from home (as chat support🥴) and would benefit from the added movement in my mostly sedentary life. Like always, I enjoyed your video!

Fabulous! I walk at lunch time and ride my bike to work two days a week when I am not WFH.

Another beautiful and informative video ! I started meditating each day in June 2021 with free guided meditations (CZcams has so many). My friend and I text each other to keep the other accountable. Aside from a short break when I was sick, I've done it almost everyday since !

I do identify very much with u…U handle stress much better than I do☺️
I don’t really have any tips but, I do sleep better in colder rooms. Strange but true.

I run my cooling fan all night nowadays and feel like I wouldn’t be able to sleep without some breeze through the bedroom😅

My cats do have a calming influence but they can also sometimes stress me out when they’re sitting on my mouse and keyboard 🤣
