@Mr. No Weapon I have been a true fan of Zapp for a very long time. Terry can't even come close to Bart "Sure 2 B" Thomas... Heck Byron "Mr. Talkbox" Chambers is also better. I'll tell you this tho, I continue to support The Zapp Band. I love both Quik & Battlecat & they have their own way of playing the Talkbox but both of them take a back seat to Sure 2 B & Mr. Talkbox
@Crooked187 my opinion, in this order Byron "Mr. Talkbox" Chambers Bart "Sure 2 B" Thomas Battlecat Quik Fingazz aka Fingadelic Bosko and even these guys are good, Temu Sergio Selim
Rhythm D took me over Battlecat house back in 1990, he was always making beats, when we got there he was banging something, it was off of Van Ness & Florence...thats my nigga.
I love how Battlecat revamped that original mix of Slum Village's 'Forth And Back feat. Kurupt' with this beat. Notice how the melody is the same? Wish 'Cat and Dilla had the chance to make an instrumental album together. That would be so badass.
Hell yeah Im glad to see this nigga on here, he's a westcoast DIAMOND.... The game needs more BATTLECAT!!!!!!!!!!!! Dude under me, thats a talkbox thru the vintage Korg MS2000..
What?? Nah thats like comparing a Hummer to a E-class man..both are the best at what they do. And have totally different sounds and techniques. Dont get it twisted. They both have earned the right to shine as much as each other. Al hail to the Gfunk sound! West up!
@nastymusic4444444 Music is Music don't matter if its done in a 100k pro studio or in someone's bedroom with fl studio.....all that is needed is talent and hard work....
Why does everyone attack T-Pain when "Talkbox" or "Zapp/Roger" gets introduced to a conversation. I love the Talkbox, have one myself that I'm learning, as well as Auto-Tune. The fact that T-Pain has never made it a fact that he's trying to be Roger Troutman should stop people from bashing him about the Auto-Tune subject; he's admitted himself that he can't sing and that's his way of making his music. Now as far as everyone else hopping on the Atuo-Tune bandwagon, that's a different story.
cud u give me the exact name of the album this is really pissing me off i swear i bin trying to find this for ages. i just need the name. thanks alot G
@The1980Champ those songs are aiite. But I'm not a big fan of his talk-box, i think "Coolin in the Ghetto" is a great jam but the talk box didn't win me over. Same goes for "Stone Cold Nut". His beats are flawless but his talk box could come out cleaner
why the fuck everybody has to post under a good video something about tpain lil waye or justin biber. fuck that bullshit. and just listen to this good stuff
thats not autotune thats a talk box theirs talk box vocoder auto tune what hes using is not correcting his pitch its changing the wave form in his voice to the synth
BTW.. my homeboy makes tracks like this on website. If you need BEATS, check out his page. His BEATS are INSINE and his Website is Legendary. BigNotch "DOT" com
I can say right now DJ Quik & DJ Battlecat are the true masters when it comes to the talkbox.
+Crooked187 terrace martin ?
Roger Troutman was the best.
+izzy jone$
offcourse he was, he was the pioneer of it.
But right now Battlecat and Quik are on top of it...

One of the most underrated producers in the game, as much as I love Battlecat I don't enjoy his talkbox usage it just doesn't come out right.
Just know that there's a different between the "Talkbox "(Roger Troutman used) and "Autotune"(Tpain uses now)
I AGREE ... I like the old Kanye beats from Jay-z's older stuff, before blueprint
BC a living legend. U good with that talkbox and a lot better than T-Pain he's a robot singer. LOL!!

r u kidding??
Folks this is the real deal!! Not that T-Pain auto tune bullSh@t!! Get em Battle cat!!!
Auto tuning takes no skill at all. Talk boxing is hard because you actually have to play the keys. I really enjoy the sound of it.
um..yeah thats what I'm saying. That autotune shit is wack. Maybe you didn't read my entire comment. I dig the talkbox.
Haha 2:23
@booyacheesewhiz this is a blasphemy.....talkbox= ROGER TROUTMAN.....
