This being Power Rangers and tokusatsu television shows and films related to it. In this video, we will be ranking every single Power Rangers season from my favorite to least favorite. All of which are based on Super Sentai. And we will be discussing my time on Versus with my friend Squall Charlson's channel!

Dino Thunder and Ninja Storm was just legendary..The amount of comedy while implementing some serious moments into these shows compared to other series, Disney knew what they were doing and it worked out so perfectly. Then we have an Evil White Ranger in Dino Thunder?! That was just the cherry on top..His powers were insanely interesting to watch and his costume is just so good.

I love that you put ninja storm, dino thunder and spd on S tier. Those where literally my childhood starting from ninja storm. Makes me feel like i watched the best ones in my childhood lol. For me mystic force is somewhere between B tier and A tier. I like the originality of the show but alot of the episodes felt underwelming.

Ninja Storm, Dino Thunder, and Jungle fury were the holy trinity of my childhood. Honorable mention Mystic Force, the first Power Rangers I watched and Samurai, the most underrated imo.

I would put time force in S don't care about the Senti. Power rangers should be treated not as an adaptation but its own thing. Should be judged based on it's merits.
Only person here with a brain cell. I don’t understand the agreement like yes mmpr is respectable but that doesn’t make it a good show Time Force while be the closest adaptation of a Sentai series has the best pinnk ranger and arguably top five red ranger and six ranger and one of the best villains. Time Force blows mmpr out of the water.
Well power rangers is adapting the sentai. That’s what an adaptation is. What makes power rangers amazing is when it’s different from the sentai, not like it. All 3 seasons of MMPR are well done in my book for how different they are from Zyuranger, Dairanger and Kakuranger. Not trying to be the sentai with a couple differences like Time Force.
@@fatsonic111 Jen is only loved by the franchise cause she was the first badass pink ranger in the franchise, but she doesn’t really have anything else going for her character like or sentai counterpart. I also like Wes but as a character he is nothing more than just his sentai counterpart as they go through basically the same character journey minus different endings. I think the reason people love time force so much isn’t more that the characters are fleshed out characters but more or less they felt realistic as the acting was very much well done in quality but it has a lot of flaws to it IMO. MMPR imo was very well done throughout its 3 seasons as it has a lot of stakes in it at times and you really worry for the rangers all the time if they are going to succeed or not. There are a few missteps but that’s more or less that it was the first show to take a Japanese show and adapt it but with an American setting while using stock footage and for how different it is from Zyuranger, Dairanger and Kakuranger, I say they did a nice job with making power rangers feel unique
@@arkanamaster4961 you make a great point I guess it was just such a slog watching all of mmpr knowing that most of the episodes I was watching really don’t matter or lead to some over arching plot. Don’t get me wrong I love mmpr but as a watching experience I personally loved time force.
@@fatsonic111 MMPR is more of a product of its time as shows at the time didn’t really have overarching plots and you can just turn on an episode and any point and not miss anything relevant. I also do love Time Force as well it just misses some points in my book

My childhood 4 were: Mystic Force, Operation Overdrive, Jungle Fury and Samurai. For me these 4 are my favourites because first, they have many great things going for them with the characters, music (I loved that they brought the og intro back into a remix for Samurai). The nostalgia factor helps a lot too.
I think power rangers super samurai is 100% slept on, it wasn’t amazing, but it wasn’t horrible.

In my opinion, I think dino super charge was better then dino charge because all there was in dino charge was fighting( could be wrong) but dino super charge had more plot like the dark energem, the quest of the silver ranger,and Tyler’s dad
Heckyl was underrated character in my opinion
I didn't mind dino charge either. Especially for the bad guys. But let's credit that a few things happened towards the final episodes that ruined it. Already like rewriting history by creating a world of dinosaurs I found it a bit silly ending.
I'm only 13 (2008) so the first power rangers I ever watched was samurai, I wasnt really too developed in super, but I think samauri is really great and has a place in my heart, I really hope netflix buys back power rangers, I also think that beast morphers and mega force were pretty awesome sinse they understood there were different dimensions and different teams of rangers

Dude same, I grew up with Samurai, too so I have an unconditional love for it. I like how it also has a lot of sub plots especially when Jayden is involved. Even now, I’ve only started to get back to it and I realized just how good the costumes look compared to the newer series (no shade, I just have a thing for the black tights).

I don’t understand why people are hating on Samurai. It’s literally the best Power Rangers show of the Neo-Saban era. It was my introduction to the Power Rangers franchise and It’s one of the few Power Rangers shows along with Mighty Morphin where the cast actually works well together, there is chemistry between all of them and there are no filler characters on the team
In Space, Lost Galaxy, and Time Force are my absolute favorites. Lost Galaxy probably number 1. Have been rewatching it again recently and absolutely loving it.
i love seeing the respect towards jungle fury. it's my favorite by far, probably mostly because of the suits
i'm an '03 kid, but i never really gotten into power rangers at a young age. i think my first season that i watched was wild force(i could be wrong on this). wild force has such a good plot and it was so great to see the characters bonding with each other and grow stronger as a team. same with dino thunder! it was so cool seeing how the rangers adapted to their abilities, but mesogog scared me shitless. after wild force and dino thunder, i mostly stayed near the rpm-dino super charge because i honestly forgot there were past seasons.
(this is pretty long, so prepare yourselves.)
i understand why people hate samurai and megaforce, and i have mixed emotions on the two, but there are some good parts to them. for samurai, emily was always a constant favorite ranger for me because of how well she can adapt during a battle and a huge part of empathy for her friends. when i watched super samurai after xandred did a huge deal on jayden, i noticed emily shed a tear. that small moment made me realize that emily seeing jayden in the condition he was in, it made emily realize that this was literally a battle of life and death, seeing how easily xandred took out the other rangers. i always respected emily and how she didn't let people's harsh words deter her from her true goals. maybe the reason i relate to her so much was because she was bullied as a child, like me, so i might be biased there. also, serrator had to be one of my favorite secondary villains in super samurai. he was able to plan out his methods so smoothly, it made me fearful for the rangers' safety a lot due to how easily he took them down when they first battled.
now, for megaforce..oh, this season was pretty shit. BUT ALAS! there were still some gems that stood out for me. noah is single-handedly one of the best rangers on the team. he's smart, he's adaptive, his skills with a bow and blaster are amazing, overall, he stood out so much for me as a character with an actual sense of improvement, twice! in super megaforce, when he faced off against skatana, he trained himself endlessly in order to keep up with skatana's blade of infinity. due to that, once again i may be biased here, but i honestly think he's the strongest ranger on the team, maybe equal power to robo knight. if that doesn't spell determination and power, i don't know what does. now, the villains. hands down, vrak was one of my favorite primary/secondary villains. vrak comes from a family of royalty, whereas he possesses highly advanced weapons, like his zombats and the aurora box. that alone kinda shows that he gladly would've done away with admiral malkor at any point in the season, but he probably had his reasons not to do that. vrak is a highly intelligent being who knows how to persuade someone into working for him, like he did with the mutants. his abilities were so scary to deal with for the rangers when they fought in "harmony and dizcord".
now, my most cherished seasons; dino charge and super dino charge. i rewatched this so many times when i was in high school, i lost count. the plot, the characters, the villains. they all stood out so much for me. one of my favorite 6th rangers is sir ivan, especially since he individually held so much strength and durability to defeat so many of sledge's strongest henchmen. i loved all of the primary villains, they all had their own personalities and kept finding so many methods to raid the rangers' base, and hell, they almost succeeded with that. but, my most memorable villain-turned-hero was heckyl and snide. heckyl and snide were such an interesting duo for me. yeah, i know they're a copy of jekyll and hyde, but hear me out. heckyl is a levelheaded, strategic and overall funny villain for me. when we learned about his past and how snide was created, we knew that he was more or less a victim of him trying to keep himself safe. snide, on the other hand, was a ruthless, intimidating and power craving monster who had one priority; the energems. he was so convinced that the energems were the key to his future that he stopped at nothing in order to retrieve and harness its power. although, he can be easily persuaded to believe something separate, even if its involving the energems. for me, snide was a hell of a force to be wrecking with.

I liked how you ranked the F tier starting with samurai, like after the long break everyone saw samurai as trash but with the later releases people could argue that samurai was the best in the nickelodeon era
You’re absolutely right that Mighty Morphin is magical and can’t be done again. I can’t stand when creators try to do a show again, because almost always it sucks.
I fairly engaged in MMPR, Zeo, Turbo, and Dino Thunder. Only watched Forever Red from Wild Force because of Jason and Tommy ❤️ 💚

I'm 3 years late to the party, but I just saw someone tweeted that Dino Thunder has the absolute best opening. I basically watched everything up to SPD and I didn't recall Dino Thunder having THAT good of a song but I do love the series. I took a quick listen and literally the first line "THERE'S A LIGHT IN THE DISTANCE" it freaking unlocked a trove of memories from back then. It's goated, the song is peak ranger hype

It's so cool seeing other people born in 2000 having essentially the exact same opinions as me. That really was the golden era of power rangers. The best shows were still coming out, and you had reruns and VHSs of the previous gold. Best time to be a power rangers fan as a kid
Also an edit after finishing the video: I think the tone you mentioned that SPD does such a good job establishing is why the DT/SPD crossover just doesn't hit as hard. It's two tones that clash way too hard to work without proper setup, which obviously you're not going to get for a single episode, and it's why I think the second one was in the past
Literally the best part about mystic force is they are constantly growing and evolving rather than other power rangers who in 1 episode learns something and in next is like everything doesn't matter so much

I kind of agree with your chart a little bit. I watched someone else's video and it was slightly similar to yours. And I respect everyone's opinion. But I really like this list. Thank you for sharing!
Personally I think that Overdrive is way better than most people remember due to it being know in the community as the worst season for so long. While it does allot of things wrong there are interesting concepts, good moments, and a few actually interesting arcs that make up for a few of the problems it has (Also I think the song is actually pretty enjoyable and I personally like it more than alien rangers). While watching a few people rank the shows I saw some people rank Ninja Steel way above Overdrive which blew my mind. My personal favorite season also will always be Dino Thunder. It has some of the best actual plot and coolest looking zords and suits. I thought making the zords come out of eggs was really cool and the principle Elsa being evil gave some of the best moments in power rangers. Mezagog was one of the greatest villains in power rangers, and while thinking that zeltrax was a little jank sometimes, overall it was handled pretty decently. All in all I like most of your placements, the only things I would change is ranking mystic force higher as well as Zeo and mmpr(while I agree it is overhyped I do still think it deserves around bottom S tier) I also really really like Jungle Fury and I think it needs to be talked about allot more in the community because it is just so fun and brings new ideas to the power rangers universe.
Dino Thunder is god tier solely for the fact that the title incorporates the Tyrannozord. Bonus points for Abaranger existing.

I actually disagree with beast morphers being a bad season. It is actually the only good season in the neo saban along with Dino charge.
But in my opinion season 2 in beast morphers is bad.
Beast Morphers is in the Hasbro era. Not the neosaban era.
I agree compared even though it's not a Neo-Saban era it still tried way harder than most in that era. The fact that Megaforce is only okay to pull bullshit over Beast Morphers just because it's an anniversary season and it's lazy is not a fucking excuse to being as bad as it is. The fact it's an anniversary season is even more of a reason why it deserves the shit that it gets. Beast Morphers at least made more attempts even though it wasn't an anniversary which says A LOT about other anniversary seasons before it.

1 Power Rangers ended for most people in 2010 itself after Power Rangers RPM ended.

Love the Disney era appreciation. I was older when they came out but man did Ninja Storm bring me back in. NS, SPD, JF are S tier for me while DT and MG are lower A/B tier. Lost interest again around RPM and Saban’s era lost me forever to new entries.
The only negative I could see with the Disney era(beyond overdrive) is more of a product of its time with fighting be a lot of slow motion wire work. Outside of that goated
What was so wrong with Power Rangers Samurai? I remember really liking it as a kid. The ranger helmets looked cool, having like the generic Kanji of the element they were supposed to represent. As well as having the "samurizer" which allowed them to use different techniques as well as the weird ring that they spin on the base of their weapons to give them a special attribute or ability. And I thought the specialty zords being captured and using their significant traits or abilities to build upon not only their zords but their weapons as well. But to re-ask my question...why the hate?
Jungle furry is my favorite, has an tmnt vibe and wish it had more episodes.

I agree with you. Rpm should be an S tier. because it was a good season. It Was a mature topics like death and loss. and the whole of humanity almost being wiped out. via virus. You cannot go wrong with Power Rangers RPM. Those who say RPM really stinks, I tell them to go R. P. M. Getting gear themselves. If you know what I mean. And the actress that played the Yellow Ranger. Rose Macgyver. She's very hot. And the power Ranger, she played summer lands down. as hot as well. Especially. in her yellow uniform with the big number three on the chest, the seat belt strapping that connects to her belt. And the white gloves and the tire rims around the feet and around the wrist area. Favorite lines from her. I changed the little bit of it. When I was pretending to be the bad guy back in the day, I would say I'm the greatest bad guy of all time. And nobody can stop me when I. was ranting and raving. Summer was like, sorry, my parents are visiting. Can we skip the bad guy Blah, blah, You Muscular dystrophy. And I said, how dare you? I have. CP. I'm the greatest bad guy of all time. Then you and Rangers. are going to go down so hard. Even your parents won't miss you. then I would say? you Ranger is wronged my people. No wonder I joined forces with your enemy. And I used to be. the greatest Ranger hater ever till I turned 27 years of age Then I realized in my real life. The fact is. life doesn't treat you good. years earlier, I became a Christian in 2007 and becoming a Ranger. in 2019 in my pretend world and becoming a Christian in 2007 in my real life was the best thing for me. I was picked on as a kid. and I couldn't take my pain out on real people. So, the next best thing was to take it out on the Rangers. because I always felt that people were disabilities were outcasts, you know, and they were hated, and they would. treated like villains. That's how I felt. from when I would remember people with disabilities in the Power Rangers were the villains. from 1993 till 2009 and then people with disabilities got cast in a good light. They made progress on that from 2010 till. now. people with disabilities have been treated as allies to the power Rangers. Things have changed. Ever since. late 2019 I've been rooting for the Rangers ever since. But the one time when I was pretending to, but everything changed. I wanted to save the world not destroy it. And in my Pretend world. my mind changed. I did not want it to destroy the world. I wanted to save it. And the RPM Rangers were shocked. That's in my pretend world, of course. But in real life, being the bad guy does not pay. It only leads to more pain. And it leads to unresolved anger. That is what happens in real life. when you are a bitter person. If you're not careful. your anger can stir a Hornets nest. Does my advice from one Ranger fan to another.

samurai is pretty good, kinda dramatic but you can see the hard work they give. ill give a speical mention on super megaforce because its basically a power ranger series that appreciates the 1st power rangers.
in space is top tier. i fast forward to see where you ranked it. after that i realized you were legit so i whent back and saw the whole thing.
Carlos is a major flaw of in space and really throws it closer to the neo saban era as far as I'm concerned.
My favorite is Ninja Storm mainly because it's pretty much the only Power Rangers I have full memory of as a kid.

I definitely agree with you in terms that the new seasons of power rangers suck I don't get how people think beast morphers and Dino fury are good seasons

So from his perspective because MMPR didn't flat out fail because of all the set backs it experienced it's better than Tome Force. 🙄😒🤔😑... umm I mean mmpr is nostalgic for me.... However Time Force is soo much more engaging. It's not 99% filler. It tells an enjoyable story.
