    My fiancé and I visited Malaysia for the first time earlier this year, only KL. Fantastic city, wish we could've stayed longer. We plan to go back and Penang will be a must-see.

    I'll let you in on an unspoken practice of rent-a-food "tumpang makan" , "tarp sic"(not advertised ; ask around). Caterers cater to events. These mid-range restaurants on the other hand cater meals to households(Say RM520/ 20-day or monthly basis , outside of KL(5 , 6days to the week.)(for 1meal 2pax Ipoh,Penang,Melaka,Seremban,
    Rawang?))(KL , PJ? +addRM80-110.) 2sets tiffin per meal (i.e. lunch and dinner approx. 4sets tiffin ), on you. Cleaning the tiffin on you. Delivered his time. Typically Chinese and Malay. (It's purely a rice meal .. not much choices .. damm convenient , though.) Then again , the "local" sundry and seperately the local wet grocer will deliver for RM2 or 4 bread milk stove gas(stove repairs) rice and padi , sugar Milo bread "santan"coconut milk , jam butter mutton fish poultry , cooking oil. His time. Among the guys making a din on tarmac is a "vegetable man" wet grocer , parked 1 or 2 blocks from your unit(morning).(Unlike the West)The market also comes to you in the pasar malam and another pasar minggu(ask around for the ones nearest to you). Hope this info helps.😉 Somewhat anthropplogical , pre dates Grab and Panda.

    Penang is more suitable for aged people and KL is more vibrant and suitable for younger generations. It depends on your needs and preferences.😊

    Well, my suggestion is Penang as I'm Penangite, Lol 😁
    Penang is surrounded by sea and lifestyle is almost same as KL the only thing is the path is slower unlike KL. Furthermore like what you mentioned if wanna go to kl by flight only 45 min and by driving only 4-5 hours, and when all the way to KL you can stop at Taiping, Ipoh those places are amazing too.

    PENANG ISLANDS MORE CHEAPER THAN KUALA LUMPUR CITY

    I tried both of them and they have pros and cons even if the pros are bigger in both...
    The most important thing to know is that you can easily fly to another place for a weekend or vacation.

    Definitely KL because Malaysians prefer cooling places such as Genting Highlands and KL is near to Genting Highlands. KL has amazing varieties of food including top class Arab food, top class shopping malls, top class rooftop bars, nearby waterfalls at Kanching, a centre hub for air travel with the most flights much more than Penang. Also KL is closer to Melaka if you wish the Unesco vibe and lastly KL is a few hours drive to Singapore. Singapore is the most expensive place to own a car and fyi a ferrari cost 4 times of that in the US. Singaporeans who wish to pay for sports cars or fast cars (Mercedes, BMW sedans etc) can't try out their fun on a highway in Singapore due to the strict law and the only highway they could try their thrill is from Singapore to KL which is 430km and the final drive from KL to Genting Highlands is the best track for Singaporeans and Malaysians. (From Singapore)

    If you are young, KL is the better choice. Penang has a retirement feel to the city. Not the best place for younger people but then again to each their own.

    which city has better hospitals and cheaper healthcare?

    • @BiesingerFIREJourney
      @BiesingerFIREJourney  Před měsícem +1

      The quality of healthcare overall in Malaysia is very impressive. In both Penang and KL, you can find fantastic hospitals, but KL being a bigger city will have more to choose from. As for cost, it'll come down to your insurance type but things like doctor visits, filling prescriptions, etc. tend to be very affordable. :)
