And did anybody else notice that the cop in this video actually skipped a beat and then flubbed his very next line when he heard it: He said "I'm not the one investigating" when he meant to say "I'm not the one being investigated." When they ask for ID, you should always ask, "You mean a driver's license?" They'll say yes, and then you can ask to see theirs. If they say you're suspicious, tell them that a police officer investigating non-criminal activity is suspicious to you!
In their narrow minded opinion it's a privilege to park on the street and block lanes. In this case it's very clear that it's totally unnecessary. Why do they do it? To show the public they're allowed to do so. It's showing off power they just don't have when they get home. There they have to do the dishes and take the trash out.
