I had no idea there was a used disc golf market I've been throwing away disc I don't like in the garbage for 2 decades now.
Sometimes when they get muddy I don't want to waste water resources cleaning them so I just throw them out and buy a brand new one.

"Making plastic uses too much crude oil"
Oil isn't used to make only one product, refining crude oil creates resources to create lot of different things. Basically plastic is a byproduct of fuel, so as long as there is fuel, there is plastic.

As a dissenting opinion, I despise the way the eco pure feels, i throw pures, in gold line burst and zero soft, as I like softer plastics for my style of release, the eco line had me excited as at some point I'll be gone and the pures I've owned will still be here.
The eco line however doesn't release the same for my hand, it comes out a lot slicker and a lot less consistently. Just something to look out for, as I think it's really good on latitude is trying this, but unless there is a way to have a softer eco plastic, it sadly won't find a way into my bag. I still recommend the disc to beginners, but it is something to consider if you are someone who wants a bit of give when gripping a disc.

It's late 2022. I just went to their store and although if you look real hard there are a couple of discs to be found in this plastic, the plastic itself is not even listed in their huge Plastic Guide (15 types of plastic, non of them marked by recycling codes, it appears). So as a somewhat misanthropic cynic I have a guess why is that: there is a) no demand and b) they don't care. Probably they released this to please some random "fools" like us, and that was it. Nobody in the DG world cares about plastic pollution or sustainable development, except for this tiny company that is Trash Panda. That's by far the biggest flaw of this sport.

"Oftentimes, sustainable alternatives can be more expensive and not as good, but that is clearly not true for Latitude's Eco plastic."
I guess the "not as good" part is not true, but the "more expensive" part is. It's $2/disc more expensive than the zero line, and $3/disc more expensive than the retro line. It's a conscious decision to make the greener choice more expensive.

Absolutely love what you are doing with your efforts, just hope folks don’t assume that “bio” is, in all respects, a panacea for the problems caused by a disposable economy. But no doubt I will be considering how disc manufacturers move forward in this area before buying that next disc.

(This is not hate) How does it actually help the planet? From my understanding the plastic only matters if it is recycled at the end of its use, and that is the benefit of ECO. The old head on my home course only uses two discs. His carbon footprint is a sliver of yours. Again no hate.
