Duramax guys seem to hate Fluidampr for some reason. They all seem to love the ATI, So Cal diesel talked about it years back. I have a Fluidampr on my 05 6.7 swap and it made a pretty big difference, the higher I rev the smoother she gets.

276 ft lbs, I used a 36mm 12 pt 3/4 drive that came with the locker tool off amazon. Worked good. Can wedge the bar on the frame or the ground depending on how your setup is. Very first one i ever did i used the jack handle and bent the handle. That bolt is serious. Now i do it this way. Fluidamper is the best tho.

I have towed with all the new truck except the new high output ford up throw Eisenhower tunnel and i70 snowmobiling the gmc and Chevy are way better to tow with it is a incredible difference the GM is totally leading the pack in all regards
Not hating on duramax but this is why I'll only own a cummins, road side fixes or just in the shop its much quicker on a cummins. That being said I'd buy a Duramax before a powerstroke.
did you have to order that diamond washer seperate? when i ordered my fluiddampr about a year ago for my LB7 it did not come with the washer... lol. i will say, i run the truck hard and without the washer its still holding true so far. i did also do the crankshaft pin kit at the same time though so that may have alot to do with it not slipping
If you were to have one tow pig/dd that would stay mostly stock and not deleted. Would you have a l5p pre 10 speed, 4th gen Cummins or 6.7 power stroke pre 10 speed?

I have a bone stock 5.9 Cummins. My factory damper is looking pretty bad the rubber is cracked. Does it do any good at all to put a fluid damper on a stock truck or should I just go with an OEM damper and save the money?
You can look for a stock 6.7 Cummins damper, they are vicious damper just like the Fluidampr. Can usually scoop one up for a 150 bucks. Just remember to change the fan pully too, the 6.7 is a tad thicker and will hit the 5.9 fan pully. Or get the Fluidampr I would also recommend it, but doesn't really offer anything over the stock 6.7.

GM should work a deal with Fluidampr to make it a factory part.

Map gas torch 1/2 stubby matco impact works great!

Really depends on jobs for sure! Certain jobs are much easier on the Cummins

That's a solid unit they make. Will be one of the next mods when my truck needs a new damper. What are symptoms of a bad/worn damper on a 3rd gen 5.9?

Is this unique to the L5P? Never heard of it on the LB7, LBZ, etc.

L5P 6 speed, 6,7 power stroke 6 speed, 6,7 Cummins 68rfe in that order

Adding that weight to the crank I bet you it makes more torque on the dyno.

They are proud of the fluidampr 500 bucks for my Subaru one how no idea what the Cummins one is.
