Hi this toilet works in a similar way to the porcher aspirambo toilet I told you about recently, because it doesn't let any water back up after syphoning. On the other hand, the aspirambo has a longer flush cycle, and uses about 2 gallons of water, because with the aspirambo, the water level rises a little higher than with the toilet mentioned in your video. The good thing about the aspirambo is that the water covers a good part of the bowl, so the dirt test with the aspirambo can be very good.
@@OCC_Plumbing_and_Restorations Even on a second-hand sales site? It's a shame, because I think the tests would have been conclusive. have a look, on youtube there are some videos showing how it works
@@OCC_Plumbing_and_Restorationsit looks like the Universal Rundle Toilet at my old house in the upstairs restroom except it was round and not elongated
The problem with this toilet is the small trapway and the rather short flush but I do like the swirl on this. Took the washcloth fine but all other items it failed. Bowl rinse would be good if it was not for the issue of the flush water not getting to the front part of the rim (leaving a whole clump of dirt there) and the bowl clearance could be improved. Typical for an early US 1.6 Gal (6 Liter) toilet but it ain't the worst - I will give it a 5.5/10 which is considerably better than the likes of the Wellworth Lite and I do kinda like it as it is an open rim toilet!
I guess they made 3 different atlas and Athens with 3 different trapways this one being the smallest my neighbors had 3 of these and has issues with them occasionally and I had the other standard height ones with the other trapway and had no issues at all
I found one of them from 2004 at a dollar store and it had the same logo as the one you describe. I've also seen them with a dark blue logo and then most commonly, the black logo.
Honestly this toilet didn’t do quite as well as I expected with the performance and rinse, but then again I’m pretty spoiled with the performance and rinse on my Toto Dartmouth.

Have you noticed how the exposed trap way is shaped differently than other standard height Atlases?
I think so. I know I mentioned it in one of my videos but I don't remember which it was.
@@OCC_Plumbing_and_Restorations I think it makes the flush worse tbh
W to Mansfield for not cheaply creating a front flusher.
I agree but this one is Universal-Rundle.

I would like to see one of those someday. I haven't seen a Porcher toilet in the US before.

I'm getting one from 1993 next week
Oh wow, does it have the same tank?
This style terlit is a favorite in Mexico for some reason. Cheap? Oversupply? Can't sell? All of the above!
Not really, I see more front flushers and crappy low flow toilets than Open rim toilets.
Cheap.
I can’t wait to see this on a high tank performance
I tested one from 1999 but this one did not make it to the high tank setup.
This toilet works the same as mine
Cool!
I wasn't awake
For the video to post?
Amazing toilet
I respect your opinion.

Looks crane
Crane made a toilet exactly like this, also called the Atlas.

Yeah, it is definitely better than a lot of the competition from the time. Considering what other companies were making.
This was kinda disappointing… but i still kinda like this toilet.
Yeah, but it was made during the worst era of toilets. I'm glad they improved.
I guess they made 3 different atlas and Athens with 3 different trapways this one being the smallest my neighbors had 3 of these and has issues with them occasionally and I had the other standard height ones with the other trapway and had no issues at all
They slightly altered the design several times.
I changed my profile and nice toilet
Nice!
Are these better than the round ones … (or vice versa)? (Are these better than the round version of these … or vice versa?)
I do not know
@@OCC_Plumbing_and_Restorations, All is good!😊👍😌
I have this but a 2003 with a blue stamp, nothing but issues with the thing.
Interesting I Used to have 3 from 99 and Didn’t have any issues with it the trapway was different from this one though
@@Joshhhhh12345 I had all 3 of mine as the same as in the video, all sucked, maybe I got a bad batch

Plus this thing is a mid 90s 1.6 so not much can be expected. Toto of course was ahead of its time and made good toilets.

Great toilet but only the blue washcloth will pass so as the dirt test
That's honestly sad
I don’t like toilets with the diamond shaped trapped or the real long rim. Looks cheap.
They are pretty cheap
At least it could take a washcloth :)
