Thank you so much for uploading this. This has always been my favorite fan made Star Wars short story/dual. The creators absolutely struck gold with this, such a beautiful fight.
The Ho Bros do it again. And I very much doubt I'm alone in thinking I would rather watch these guys go at it than having to watch those Acolyte trash fights any day . Disney should be ashamed of themselves that to superfans can out do them and their big budget professional stuntmen, fight teamsand choreographers
I remember when they were talking about making this and how the speech in the beginning was actually an old confederate war letter. I remember thinking to myself “That’s so cool😊” 20 yrs and still fucking awesome 👏🏻
Why can’t the 200 million dollar episode of the 5 of Acolyte look like this? It’s nice to see real lightsaber technique. Instead Disney gives us a dark glow stick fight with kicking and bad kung fu. Also the music is better! Someone send this to Lesyle Headland.

It's alright. You're seeing it now. I don't know if the Ho Bros still have the original video and can reload it/remaster it proper, but this was my attempt with the tech available to me at the time. This is a timeless classic from an era when Star Wars really was for the fans and this fair time shouldn't be forgotten.

So, this is a bit of a reach probably but it feels like around 3:18 he tries to do what would be the killing move later. But he fucks up because he doesn't quite have the dexterity in that grip. Then, once he flips the grip, he fucks up near the end of the fight and it feels like that reminds him of his previous fuck up, so he tries it again to success because as you said, it allowed him to open up more
Still the best fan made dual. If there's any better I'd lie to see them! 😊 I love the music is back in this version. I remember when they had to strip Hans music from the video for copyright reasons. It didn't have the same effect if you'd already seen it with the music.
This is the original from the original upload on theforce.net in 2002. The wife and child was added later in a different cut/upload. I have the original Jedi Hunter as well with the original voice actor playing Boba Fett which was changed in a later upload to sound more Australian. I posted that one here but strangely the copyright holder actually flagged my video demanding it be removed. Oh well.

The way the assassin's moveset completely opens up right after switching from a reverse grip to a normal grip. 🤯
