I just did this one on a little piece of card board and I am so happy with it! The thing is my whales look like they are floating in the air and look like they are right in front instead of further back but now I see how I did that and how to create distance now, which I had no clue how to do. I have never painted with acrylic nor painted landscapes and now I love it and excited to keep practicing! It's not as difficult as I thought it would be!
I LOVE THIS COUPLE! I chose her over other tutorials on CZcams as I really connect with her style and I was surprised someone thinks like I do. I don't know how to say what I mean about that but anyway I am stoked!!!

Oh Cinnamon! 😍😍 I'm so in love with this tutorial! You taught us a lot about blending, shadows, and water affect! My favorite is the final step in the water affect where you take the white and wiggle it around. The top of the stroke looks almost fluid and creamy, whereas the bottom of the stroke is defined and drippy. I had to practice a lot on scratch paper, but I finally achieved the look! Thank you so much for another wonderfully awesome tutorial!!!❤❤

I’ve been using cheap makeup brushes for blending. They are really soft and I haven’t lost any bristles yet.
I am glad they have worked for you. Makeup brushes are to soft for heavy body acrylic paint.🌹🌹
I didn’t realize! I haven’t had any trouble with the wet n wild brushes from the dollar store, so maybe they’re harder than they should be! I use golden and Winsor and Newton heavy bodied paints. The makeup brush is just used for blending.

Hi John
When you use the mop brush, is your pressure light or harder? I’ve tried blending with mine, and don’t seem to get the nice blended look you do.
Also, (sorry) would it be helpful to use the glazing liquid in the sky to stay wet longer to blend?
Can we use Artist loft paints?

WHEN YOU DO YOUR PAINTING, IS YOUR BOARD OR CANVAS PREWET BEFORE YOU START? I CANT EVER KEEP MY PAINT WET LIKE YOU HAVE YOURS.
No, I don't prewet my canvas. You can do a couple of things, First, use a stay wet palette, mist your paints with a micro mister from time to time, and get a desk top humidefier to keep near you when painting. For blending, you can use a retardant, or Golden liquid glazing medium to keep your paints 'open' longer. 🌷
